John/Mary - Keeping Score

John is worried about being too rough with Mary while she's pregnant, but as soon as the baby is delivered, all bets are off, and she's going to pay for lying to him for so long.

Just to keep track (and make sure he doesn't forget ANY of it), John keeps a list of all the sexual things he's going to do to Mary pinned to the fridge of their flat, waiting for the baby to be born so he can start checking them off.

Mary/John - Mary Doesn't Cry

Anon is just looking for a mini-fill or scene write-out from one character's perspective, but I will not object to longer fics.

Basically, John's never seen Mary cry. Not when she was hurt, not when extended family or pets died, not when he practically left her, not when he said those horrible things to her at 221B.

So at Christmas, when he tells her that he's not going to leave, and that he's forgiven her for what she did in HLV, he gets really worried when she starts crying, because Mary Watson simply does not cry.

I just need a bit of John pointlessly fretting over his ex-assassin wife.

When Sherlock was younger he worked for M16 - as a spy. However, things happened and Sherlock is no longer on good terms with M16. He went into drugs for a short time but soon found work as a consulting detective for Scotland Yard (everything's canon from then out).

But, what happens when Sherlock's past comes back to haunt him?

As someone who studied anatomy in college, I have found myself extremely scepticle of Sherlocks 'surgery' analysis of Mary shooting him- you don't shoot someone in the chest unless you want them dead. The size of your heart and lungs vary from person to person, even thee with the same build and height. Dot get me wrong. It's television, so the explanation is probably true. But from an anotomical standpoint. I'm not buying it.

Bonus: Molly, who knows all the ins and outs of the human body, isn't buying it either.

Bonus 2: magnussen called 999 not Mary. (Anyone else see him reaching for something repeatedly in the background ? Maybe it's just my bias imagination...)

Bonus: her pregnancy was faked or something along those lines- in the canon, AGRA was an empty box. Mary is AGRA. Mary is empty.

Mental Ward

In "His Last Vow" we see a padded cell is a part of Sherlock's mind palace. Going by the Method of loci, the padded psych ward cell isn’t a mind-fabrication; it’s an actual place he’s been, somewhere in his past.

Prompt: When Sherlock was younger he was admitted in a mental hospital (for whatever reason and for however long, is your choice).

TSoT when the priest says "speak now or forever hold your peace" sherlock stared at john and forever held his peace. A. john won't turn sherlock's way or look at him because he could feel sherlock's eyes on him or B John was so happy looking at mary to even notice. Sherlock zoned out then until the picture taking of "the bride and groom please" Or on the moment they exited the chapel Sherlock deletes everything and was mid-deleting when John calls him for "the bride and groom please" picture taking

A simple prompt really.

Sherlock is great at a lot of things and lets everyone believe that he'd be rather brilliant at anything he tried his hand at.

It's someone's birthday (John/ Mrs Hudson?) and he decides to make a big effort and bake a cake for them. He's never done it before but the recipe is easy enough. The lady on the cover of the book could even be found on youtube if he gets stuck. Easy peasy. At least that's what he thought until he saw his end result and found that the "sponge cake" he'd baked could easily be used as a blunt object to murder someone with. He tries again, following the recipe down to the last letter and gets the same result. He's seriously dismayed that his very best effort just hasn't worked.

I'd really like it if whoever the intended cake is for sees the attempt for what it was and maybe even tries it to prove they appreciated the gesture, even if the cake is bloody awful.


Yep... This happened to me this morning and I'm totally projecting here. I'm a very stressed baker.

Sherlock/John, misunderstandings

Some time after Sherlock and John have begun a sexual relationship, John gets an invitation for some social occasion where it's expected for him to bring a date. He tells Sherlock about it, and Sherlock says, "Well, I'm sure [insert female name] will be happy to go with you."

John is hurt that Sherlock doesn't even consider it, but eventually he find out that Sherlock didn't realise John wanted him to come. Because of how vehemently John always denied they were a couple and now he always avoids physical displays when other people are around and never tells anyone that they are together, Sherlock assumed that John's ashamed of their relationship and is only in it for the sex until he finds someone better.

Sherlock stays with his abuser because he thinks he deserves it

Sherlock shot Magnussen, Moriarty returns and has been dealt with. Sherlock is allowed to walk free, because Mycroft manages to destroy all evidence.
But now Moriarty is dead/locked up for good/whatever, Mycroft is pissed with Sherlock, because he feels betrayed by his actions in hlv and John has his baby. Where exactly does Sherlock fit in?
Sherlock is already developing severe self-esteem issues when he is raped on a case.
The rapist takes his virginity and manages to break him in by feeding his self-hate (everyone hates him, he's just a burden, he's a freak, John will never love him back,...; maybe he got all that information through sherlock's enemies?). The abuser tells Sherlock that he is the only one who would take him now and Sherlock believes him. He helps him fake his innocence and they move in together.
The abuser slowly starts to isolate Sherlock even more, doesn't allow him to get any cases, forbids him his experiments, basically everything that makes Sherlock Sherlock.
Someone (Molly, Lestrade, Anderson or maybe even Sally?) notices this and begns to suspect something. He/she goes to John and tells him about it. John visits Sherlock for the first time in weeks and Sherlock snaps something at him (he thinks John hates him, why else wouldn't he call at least once, even after everything Sherlock has done for him.)
John had been feeling guilty about his neglect, but he is also stressed because of the baby and the whole Mary is an assassin thin or work or whatever, so he storms off.
He is only coming back when Mycroft tells him that Sherlock hat attempted suicide after weeks of constant abuse

In 2010, Lestrade says that he's known Sherlock 5 years - since 2005.

Presumably, he'd have needed a little time between getting clean and being a good enough detective for Lestrade to pay attention - say, a year to brush up on and perfect his detective skills.

Perhaps he started out with a practice case, something to get him in the zone in about, 2004.

Around the same time that Rose Tyler went missing. When people like her mum and Mickey Smith needed interogating. Shortly after the odd disturbance around the London Eye and all the living mannequins.

Sherlock's first case was the disappearance of Rose Tyler.

I've seen tons of fics where they have to choose: have sex with each other or be raped by ther abductor and they choose each other.
I want a fic where John just CAN'T hurt Sherlock and hates himself for it, but chooses to let the other guy (moriarty or just some random criminal) do it.
After the rapist is gone, John tries to comfort and apologize, but Sherlock is inconsolable and ashamed and won't let John touch him.
The problem is: Sherlock thinks that he is so repulsing to John, he wouldn't even have sex with him to save him from being raped.
If you could add a happy end, I'd be very happy

Sherlock is beaten and raped (nothing personal, no mystery to it and not related to a case, which makes it even worse for Sherlock). Afterward, he knows he's badly injured and needs medical attention, but is too scared/ashamed/whatever to go to the A&E, so he goes to find John at the clinic he works at.

Maybe he signs in with a different patient name and info so John doesn't know it's him right away. Maybe he even lies about his injuries (or only mentions being beaten and not raped), either way, he gets in to see John.

John sees Sherlock. He asks what happened, and Sherlock is quiet and vague. John assumes he's just gone and mouthed off to the wrong people or something like he's done many times before, and proceeds to clean him up. At some point in the exam John realises what's really happened, and things go from there.

OP here: I feel I should add that John and Sherlock can already be in a relationship, or just newly in a relationship, or platonic or whatever. Doesn't matter to me.

Also, lots of angst, and John trying to stay professional and viewing Sherlock as just another patient, to keep from getting too emotional to be able to treat him.

Combine the Mirror of Erised, the pensieve, the Danger Room and a pseudo-psychology function. A person looking to understand his or her (repressed) psyche presents a drop of blood to the room and can see immediately, projected on the holographic walls, their deepest and innermost thoughts. Provides enlightenment. Sort of.

Enter one Sherlock Holmes to use the room for more perverse reasons. Sherlock, with his highly organized thoughts, is able to somehow influence the thoughts that get read from his blood. Because he is a kinky bastard, Sherlock's thoughts are of him in various delicious situations. Most of them are of him being buggered by John in public, and private; some of them of him being buggered by a dog, some by a dragon, werewolf, or an elf. A few are of him pregnant and labouring hard. And for each of this scenarios, the room plays the sounds of Sherlock moaning.

And while all that is happening, because Sherlock has managed to drag John with him into the room, he is being fucked by the unbridled lust of John, who is driven rather mad by all the images and sounds. So while Sherlock's mind is being fucked senseless, his body is assaulted by the furious and unrelenting passion of his lover.

Kinks that Sherlock indulges in the deep recesses of his mind include cross-dressing, mpreg, bestiality, public sex, bdsm... Basically I imagine if Sherlock turned that thinking machine of his towards sex, well... NSY may be fumbling even more?

Dreams, major fixit

Where Sherlock has a mind palace, Jim organized his memories in dreams. So the first season as we saw it was his composite (from watchers, hacking CCTV, John's blog, after-the-fact information, their personalities, and mentally putting it all together) of Sherlock Holmes from the first time he heard of Jim (and, incidentally, the first time he met John) up till their first face-to-face meeting. He keeps updating ASiP (hence the differences from the pilot), although he has a bad habit of slipping in details that he can't verify but wants to be true; TBB was a sample of cases-in-between, which tend to be muddled because as long as the plans he sold work out Jim doesn't particularly care about the details (and has a bad habit of othering foreign citizens); and he quite cherishes TGG, although the dream keeps taking different directions after he reenters the pool because there were so many delicious options that all were cut off once reality chose one.

During the Great Hiatus, Sherlock keeps dreaming, essentially, the second season. He actually started dreaming ASiB before having to falsify his death, back when John could and did call him on trying to rewrite his memories so that he wound up winning -- this may be why it keeps showing up, although now muddled with fuzzy bits and pieces of Bond Night. THoB is confusing and illogical because hey, even Sherlock's dreams can't be straightforward and logical all the time; although the events of TRF got traumatically engraved in his brain such that it replays them as-was while during his sleep. Well, everyone knows that processing through trauma sucks.

Speaking of which, the third season is John's dreams -- towards the end of the Hiatus. He's never believed Sherlock to be a fraud and is half-convinced that he can and will turn up alive after all (well, depending on the day; his gravesite visit was on a day when he was almost sure Sherlock was dead, but hoped to ghod he wasn't): combine that with his trust issues, with Sherlock's name having been more-or-less cleared but the full situation rapidly making a bid for a place among Great Unsolved Mysteries of the Twenty-first Century, and with actually having met a very nice Mary, and you get the wish-fulfillment-at-liar's-hands of TEH; the situation in TSo3 where even if you have a fridge logic moment of "Empress Elisabeth of Austria!" you wake up crying because it didn't happen, and won't happen, and more than likely will never even approach happening; and the utter whiplash of HLV, where maybe they love you -- and maybe now you can acknowledge that they love(d) you -- but didn't respect you, and don't respect you, and will never respect you, with the ohhhh shit twist-in-the-tag.

So if these were their dreams, what's the reality?
