GUIDELINES

Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Sherlock served him galantine and macarons on the good china. Cooking was too boring to fathom, really, unless it was really chemistry with food. And as far as presentation--well, John was right that he could be a bit of a show-off. He hoped John wouldn't disapprove.

He needn't have worried.

John oohed and aahhed at every bite and Sherlock hung on each and every compliment. They were more sustenance than food, as far as he was concerned, but it pleased Daddy when he ate. It pleased him when his plate was cleaned. And if he cheated a bit by not putting much on his plate to begin with? Daddy wouldn't notice after a long day.

"That was--wow. Just lovely, Sherlock. Lovely."

Sherlock beamed, looked down at his plate.

"You didn't eat much, are you feeling alright?"

Caught. Sherlock felt is anxiety starting to ramp up. And then he was stammering.

"Sherlock--Sherlock."

John interrupted him before he could say anything too embarrassing. "It's alright, Sherlock. You don't have to explain. I just wanted to make sure. Please."

John reached across the table and took his hand. Sherlock felt instantly grounded by the touch. He let out a harsh breath.

"It's okay. It's okay."

Sherlock let himself be calmed. Let himself be led. That's what a Daddy for, anyhow, and John was always a good one. Would never force him, even to eat.

John's thumb turned slow circles on the back of his hand. He was chewing and swallowing calmly, watching Sherlock closely all the while.

"I don't want to disappoint--"

"You're not. You won't. Eat as much or as little as you like."

Sherlock nodded, looking back down at his plate. They sat mostly in companionable silence, interspersed with John asking a few questions about Sherlock's experiment that day.

When John was done, Sherlock rose to clear the plates.

"Let me do it, Sherlock, you cooked this beautiful dinner. Which, again, was amazing by the way."

John reached up to run his fingers through Sherlock's dark hair--on top, more like an affectionate father than a lover. Then, incongruously, he pulled Sherlock down into a kiss.

Sherlock let himself be kissed. His daddy smelled like wool and aftershave.

"Go relax a bit. You've earned it. You're such a good boy."

The words washed over Sherlock like a spell. John's tone was warm and affectionate, but with a steely undergirding comfortable authority. Sherlock was a good boy because Daddy said he was. There was no need to worry about anything. Daddy was here. Daddy was in control.

Sherlock did as he was told.

He sat on the couch, feet pulled up beneath him. He listened to gentle sounds of water running and plates clinking together. He'd cleaned as he's gone, so Daddy wouldn't have much to do. So Daddy could spend more time with him.

When John emerged, Sherlock looked up expectantly.

"Go get ready for ready for bed." When Sherlock looked disappointed, John smirked. "I'm going to watch a match. You can sit with me if you like."

When Sherlock returned in his pyjamas, the room was dark except for the light of the telly. John was sitting at one end of the couch drinking something--scotch? He looked absorbed in what he was watching, but he took a pillow and placed it on his lap, patting it without looking up.

Sherlock didn't have to be asked twice. He settled himself on the couch, curling up, head on John's lap.

The flat was quiet and peaceful. The volume on the match was low, low enough that he could hear the ice clink in John's glass each time he took a sip. The traffic was slowing down outside, the air still smelled faintly of cooking, and beneath that, cleaning product. A slow-burn desire had been simmering through him all day, even as he'd worked on the normally hated domestic tasks. He let it bloom into more as they sat this close, as John started to gently card his fingers through Sherlock's hair.
