So Sherlock (or Mycroft) has difficulty reaching orgasm by himself. He can't do it and the rare chance he does get there, it's always not 100% satisfying and he might still feel aroused physically or mentally.

Sherlock is in an unhealthy relationship. His Dom forced him into subdrop and is punishing him by not helping him out. He's been in sub drop for months now. Sherlock is out shopping for groceries alone, he's terrified and suffering and obviously malnourished. He's in his own world, it's a miracle he's even outside. But it doesn't stay that way for long. He faints and is taken to hospital where John treats him.

Sherlock falls into a coma for maybe a couple of days and when he wakes, he is panicked. They've not called his Dom because there's no ID on Sherlock so they don't know who he is, even if they did, the extended abuse is obvious they call authorities instead. They've called some service who helps victims of domestic abuse. Sherlock is still suffering and he can't really comprehend anything. He just wants his Dom even if he is terrified. They tell him that he needs to build his strength before he can have any visitors. It becomes apparent that Sherlock is still in subdrop and everyone is completely shocked. Sherlock refuses food and water and is in a constant state of anxiety. So they've got him hooked to IVs and other things. A therapist is called and eventually when they prod Sherlock enough about why he is refusing food, Sherlock admits that he isn't allowed food. That his master is punishing him so he's not allowed to eat.

John decides that's it and he's calling the authorities, Sherlock isn't going anywhere near his abuser. While under John's care, Sherlock's dom is arrested and thrown in jail and with no where to go, Sherlock moves in with john after he is discharged and so starts the long road to recovery. And it is tough especially when john leaves for a week long conference and comes home to a Sherlock who's fainted from lack of food... Because "you didn't say i was allowed to eat".

It's part of the deal for not being put in jail and not being sent full time undercover. Sherlock is fine with it. And he lets John do his physical check up when he returns. That's part of Mycroft's deal - Sherlock needs to have medical check ups and he would accept John's reports.

One day, John notices something and he gets cautious and extra careful in his speech. Sherlock doesn't seem to notice. Later, when everything is over and Sherlock ishs dressed and seated comfortably, John sits down in front and close to Sherlock. Sherlock is rather relaxed and is thinks it's a bit of afternoon tea or something but then John starts off in that light, calm, careful tone again... And he asks Sherlock "were you raped?" When Sherlock doesn't answer straight away, John warns him not to lie because he's a doctor, he knows.

Sherlock says it's his job. He didn't do anything he wasn't expected to do.

John's biggest worry is that Sherlock will start abusing drugs again. Sherlock is slight offended - only slightly because he knows john has a point.

So there are plenty of (excellent) fics in which Sherlock was abused as a child, and still bears the mental scars as an adult, John helps him through etcetera. This is, a little different. Sherlock was abused as a child but, he never got out of that situation. that person still holds power over him and still abuses him.

(that's the main prompt if all the rest of this is tldr).

When John meets Sherlock, he thinks Sherlock is a little odd. Not because of his deductions or intelligence, how everyone else does, but because he picks up subtle signs. Sherlock seems nervy, has real problems with personal space (eithre he can't stand anyone being near him, touhing him, even looking at him too much, or he sometimes swings to being really over friendly, because he's been taught that offering himself up to be used is the only thing he has). Everyone else passes it off, but not John.

When John asks if Sherlock has a boyfriend, he becomes very twitchy, nervous but asmits that yes, he does. All okay with John. But then John meets the guy. He's older than Sherlock by quite a bit,and maybe a little domineering but Sherlock acts like it's normal and hey, John's not judging. But then he notices how he treats Sherlock, belittling him, shouting at him on occasion when john is present, treating him like he is a child still. Sherlock reverts into childish ways of speaking, behaving, around him. Maybe John even notices bruises on Sherlock but Sherlock insists it's all fine because he has no idea what a healthy relationship looks like. It doesn't matter if he doesn't like the things he has to do, or if his 'boyfriend' sometimes gets a little rough, doesn't seem to get the word 'no'. John is determined to help his friend.

Bonuses for: Maybe Sherlock also puts up with it because while he is taking the abuse, the abuser isn't turning his attention to anyone else. He has a perfectly molded toy in Sherlock already.

I am so, so sorry this turned out so long, but I just can't get this idea out of my head.

Maybe it's soul mates that trigger the change. But just everyone is beta until they meet their significant other.

Sherlock has never been too worried about not meeting anyone. In fact he probably prefers it. In university he was raped viciously by an over eager alpha who really had it out for Sherlock. Sherlock never wants to go through that again nor would he want to make his omega suffer taking a knot.

So when he meets John and transitions to an omega, it fucks him up and John, estatic he's found his omega, is highly confused and distressed and agitated when Sherlock refuses him, seems to be terrified of him and even hides behind other alphas or omegas (such as Mycroft and Lestrade). What's even worse is that another alpha (Mycroft) is forcing John to stay away.

Sherlock trips and falls into a relationship with a charming man who appears patient and indulgent in Sherlock's weird acts. But over time (weeks), Sherlock comes to realise that he's being manipulated into sexual favours and has been raped for months. Sherlock tried to break up and as punishment for it, the boyfriend locks him in a cage and refuses him release. He edges Sherlock sometimes or completely ignores him. Sherlock for once cannot save himself, he hates the thing caging his poor penis. His entire groin hurts. It's tender and the psychological and sexual abuse has made Sherlock even more repulsed at touching his own genitals. The cage allows Sherlock to clean himself but doesn't let him orgasm and makes it difficult to get hard.

Sherlock escapes back to 221B and John is somewhat relieved because he has his friend back. Over months, Sherlock mental state gets worse, his genitals are swollen painfully and he has started walking carefully and become over protective of his groin area as the gentlest bump hurts.

John noticed and asks Sherlock if he can take a look, thinking its medical. Sherlock, to his horror bursts into tears and let's John see, he tells john he's been locked up since he left the bf which was months ago. John carefully examined Sherlock and he is highly concerned - Sherlock needs release, his are so swollen he must be in extreme pain. John helps Sherlock relieve some of the pain through massaging and Sherlock cries throughout it. Then John sets to removing the device (he's a doctor, he's seen this sort of thing before, but on willing people).

He stops it but nothing is reported and life goes on. Only to find out years later (after John comes into the picture) that mummy started again when Sherlock was in his late teens.

I want Mycroft drowning in guilt, being comforted by Lestrade as they both work to throw mummy into jail.

And even worse, Sherlock is in denial about the whole thing being abuse. I'd like it if John and Sherlock are in love but do not have penetrative sex because Sherlock finds the thought of that extremely disgusting - it's something you do with your parents.

I just want everyone to be fucked up and Sherlock is just on the brink and not yet comprehending it. He evens blames Mycroft when mummy is taken away even if a giant part of him is utterly relieved.

John comes home one day in time to see Sherlock about to shoot up. Sherlock is so relieved john is back.

John suddenly gets very into a cause that is completely random for him. At least it seems that way to those around him, turns out back in college/post college/grad school he somehow got involved (I'm kinda thinking like Pride 2014 here) . He hasn't been overly active recently because he wasn't really needed and than Sherlock happened but he's being asked to help and he will .

Oh one more bonus: after Sherlock comes back (so final season) is when this happens. It would be kinda cool to see John turn to activism and using his various skills because he feels morally obligated and due to his loyalty.

I was suddenly thinking of The Jacket with Adrien Brody and thought YES, we should stuff a tied up Sherlock in one of the morgue drawers.
Could be one of the baddies/Donovan/Anderson, but I'll give you a whole nest of puppies and an oven full of cookies if you went with dark John and Molly or Lestrade, who for once had enough of Sherlock's prattling.
They tie him up, gag him, maybe more, hoist him on a slab, maybe even zip him up in a body bag, and then leave him to simmer in a morgue drawer for a bit.
Go nuts, but let there be angst and cruelty!

So John and Sherlock are finally together, and John makes the mistake of telling Harry. Who is ridiculously thrilled for him. So thrilled, she decides to organize a big "coming out" party for him, since he missed out on all the fun she had (maybe she had a bunch of supportive lesbian friends?)

Anyway, she gets Sherlock's help, and manages to convince him that guys like John - newly arrived at being "gay" - all want social recognition for it. Maybe Sherlock is just super-proud that John chose him?

Whatever happens, John comes home from work one day to find EVERYONE at the flat, bells and whistles, the works. And Sherlock is so excited to have surprised him. Except John wasn't really ready to be OUT out, not really, not to all his army mates or coworkers or whatever, and he's furious but trying not to be too hard on Harry or Sherlock because they're just so darn excited for him . . .

Doesn't change the fact that it was john who finds Sherlock cold and unconscious.

One day at a case, someone thinks they're a couple. Again. But this time it's a homophobic client/suspect/other. Cue Sherlock and John getting harassed and the Yarders making a stand(even the unexpected ones).
You can do a different version with Mrs. Hudson, Molly, whomever.

John is a former army medic turned philosophy student with a taste for shit kickers (combat boots) and body mod. Sherlock is a chemistry PhD student with a big mouth, a pretty face, and an expensive coke habit. Together, they solve crime.

To combat inequality in society with gender, sex and sexual orientation, the government has imposed a law where everyone has to spend one year as the opposite gender. They have between the ages of 16 to 41 to do it, and if they don't by the time they're 41, they spend the year in prison. (On reason that if you can't pull your effort to better the society that way, you'll be removed from society and better'd that way?)

John did his at some point pre-show. Sherlock is fast approaching 40 and has yet to do his year.

Extra: There's no obligation to turn back to your birth assigned gender after that year.

John doesn't feel well and tells sherlock he won't be joining him on the latest case, he tells sherlock that "something is wrong" and needs to go to the clinic. Sherlock insults/mocks/has a strop over letting "feeling poorly" interfere with a case. John reluctantly joins.

Sherlock irritates a suspect on purpose, hoping the suspect will try to lunge at him and John will subdue the suspect-Because John's fine! He's sweating and wincing is John's way of complaing!!

John does tackle and subdue the suspect. Then, John has a massive heart attack.

NO sherlock turning to drugs. NO Sherlock being injured or injuring himself. NO John instantly forgiving Sherlock. NO everyone being more worried over sherlock than John.

John dying or living up to the author.

If John does live, I'd like John to be disabled by the heart attack. He and sherlock take an early retirement where Sherlock finally cares for John as John did for Sherlock. John does die eventually but he dies BEFORE sherlock-who very healthy.

Sherlock, the acerbic prick of a grown man we see on the show, lights the black flamed candle.

Sherlock lunges forward and presses John's gun to to the man's head.

The man laughs "kill me, yes. Discrace him in name, in body, in soul. Condemn him. For yourself. All for y-"

Blood and bone. The sound of a bullet, a body crashing to the ground. They merge and become the theme song to Sherlock grabbing the candle.

This is copied from another anon's prompt from a while ago.

Sherlock, John and Lestrade have a popular car-testing/comedy show on the BBC. Sherlock uses his deductive powers to test the cars and make snarky comments. Lestade is known for his careful driving style. John is often referred to as 'The Hedgehog.'

Crack welcomed with open arms.

When his army friends reminisced and talked about their families and friends and their dreams and hopes... They talked about how they missed their wives, how they were missing the birth of their child, when their baby stands, talks etc.

John could never join in because he has no one - estranged from Harry, no lover... Nothing. while his comrades die one by one in war, John becomes more and more saddened - he has nothing to return home to, while they all do. It's not fair. When he is asked, what his plans are when he is finished and he's always believed "I have no plans. I'm dying here. I came here to die for my country." Sort of thing.

His last mate from training lies in his arms, and on his last breath, makes john promise he will fight to survive and live his life for the soldiers who died. Im not saying John is suicidal. I'm saying he didn't expect to come out alive.

Now John is back and finding that he greatly enjoys life with Sherlock, he cries because he's glad he made it.

I'm not into fics with Irene being anything other than Irene, really. But this is stuck in my head now, so... I'm sorry.

Highschool fic where young!Sherlock is being sexually abused by one of his teachers, Miss Adler. Sherlock is good at hiding it(though his exact motives and reactions I leave up to the filler. As in character as possible would be nice, but I understand that can be difficult in these fics.) and Miss Adler appears to the board a normal teacher. Students' opinions are up the the filler.
Protective!Mycroft and young!John are the first to really notice. They team up try to figure out exactly what's going on with Sherlock, but a future consulting detective is good at covering his tracks from a nosy older brother.

+If John and Sherlock aren't friends right off the bat. A scene like ASiP is fine but I kind of want trust buildup.

Sorry for specifics! Sherlock's home life I leave completely open, though. Are the parents away? Will Mycroft tell them about Sherlock? What's the house like?
