John is James’s younger half/brother Watson is their/his mother’s maiden name.

James and John have the same skills, with John’s been better than most/all others apart from James.
Kind of how Sherlock is smarter than most people but compared to Mycroft he’s a bit slow, but unlike Sherlock John doesn’t like showing off and would rather be underestimated than commandeered and used for the government.

Sherlock finally admits to hating being called "Freak."

Donovan calls Sherlock "freak" again in front of everyone, and Sherlock finally snaps. (Whether it's at the crime scene in public or later, in private to John, is up to you.) He was bullied terribly in school, and "freak" is the name that really stuck - to the point that even some of his teachers used it.

Possible places to go from there:

- Sherlock breaks down in front of Mycroft, who comforts him that he's not alone, and Mycroft is/was ostracized for the exact same things but avoided the actual label

- John reminds him all the ways he's amazing (and if this leads to some Johnlock I'm good with that :-D)

- (if it's in front of the Yard) Lestrade steps up, reams Donovan out, and in doing so he ends up revealing a bit more personal information than he intended about how much he hates for everyone to look down on Sherlock because Sherlock doesn't deserve it

Anyone/Molly, Molly’s dates versus Toby Molly’s Jealous cat

Anyone is Mycroft, Sherlock, John, Athena, Lestrade etc.

Toby is jealous/protective of Molly and makes it his mission to drive them away, may sound like asking for humour, especially with some of the bonuses (feel free to ignore them) but in reality this kind of thing can get pretty serious so do however.

Bonus
*Molly/Mycroft is favourite pairing and love idea of either Holmes having a personal vendetta against a cat.
*Preferably not John but really don’t mind.
*Toby is smart about it, no overt attacks in Molly’s view and somehow always looks like the victim when Any does anything.
*Mycroft and/or Sherlock deducing what happened, including Toby’s initial victory.
*Toby REALLY didn’t like ‘Richard’ as in Moriarty moved up his time table to get away from him.
*Toby knew Tom wouldn’t last and was a lot more lazy about getting rid of him and/or it didn’t make much difference in the amount of attention she gave his so he didn’t care as much.

After the events of season 3, Sherlock gets worried that one day he might break under torture and give up crucial information, putting everyone he cares about in danger. Hoping to raise his pain threshhold, he contacts his friendly neighborhood dominatrix – she owes him a favor after all.

Miss Adler is only too happy to put the consulting detective through his paces... until Moriarty drops by to talk business, and walks in on them. Sizing up the situation, Moriarty silently indicates that Miss Adler should let him take over. Miss Adler stays to watch the fun.

(extra points if Adler begins by lacing a surprised but intrigued sherlock into a corset.)

(also also, though obviously this is a not totally consensual scenario, sherlock should basically enjoy himself. this more about great minds "playing the game" together -- and adler and moriarty conspiring to kickstart sherlock's sexuality -- than anything too physically brutal.)

Newsroom AU

Exactly what is says on the tin. You can ignore these if you want but if you need a little inspiration.

-Lestrade as Director trying to keep everything going smoothly even though his star reporter is Sherlock Holmes.
-Sherlock as reporter who can't help injecting his own personal views and demeaning remarks gets many angry letters from viewers - but more marriage proposals.
- Sherlock following dangerous leads for the best story.
- John as his Cameraman who has to follow Sherlock into said dangerous situations. And who everyone at home knows because Sherlock can't stop talking to John while on Camera; i.e. "We all know that the PM isn't going to sign the agreement, John, it's a stalling tactic." "Sherlock for the last time stop talking to me! Talk to the camera."
- John who was a award-winning war photojournalist in Afghanistan but got injured and now can't get back into the field (his injury prevents him, no one will send him saying he was reckless, insurance won't cover him) and had to take a job as a news cameraman. Thankfully he is paired with Sherlock which is almost the same thing.
- Molly as a Weather girl.
- Sally and Anderson as a rival reporter cameraman duo who always have to try and beat Sherlock and John to the story and always complain about Sherlock getting better assignments, to which Lestrade replies "He finds his own stories."
- Mrs. Hudson doing human interest stories.
- Irene Adler, a Barbra Walters/David Frost type interviewer from another network, who once did a really biting interview with Sherlock that he never forgave her for though both still have a thing for each other.
- Mycroft as the head news anchor because... mainly because I want to see the look of complete exasperation on his face after one of Sherlock's reports. Athena is his co-anchor and she just smiles serenely and calmly while he uses all his willpower to not walk off camera and bang his head against a wall.
- Mary is meant to be a make-up artist and John's girlfriend/wife but she seems to come to Sherlock and John with leads a lot more often than one would expect...
- Moriarty as Moriarty. But he sends all his clues to Sherlock and the news station. He calls himself Sherlock's biggest fan.

Only SHE gets to call him that. SHE has to put up with his bullshit on a daily basis, that is her right. But NO ONE gets to call Sherlock that besides her.

In this context Sherlock knows that Sally calls him freak as part of their vitriolic banter, but neither of them really take offense to the name calling because they both know they don't mean anything by it. But the person who calls Sherlock freak aims to hurt him (Sebastian from TBB maybe, or a suspect).

Sherlock gives Sally a go for defending her, and she tells him to shut it. No soppy "finally understanding each other" moment. Just them being themselves around each other.

Tom is sweet nice loyal a… don’t like the words but he suggested meat dagger leave it at that.
These are qualities found in dogs and puppies and Molly is a cat person.

Either Molly admitting/working it out for herself, trying to explain it to Tom or someone else, or even another POV and that person making the comparison.

Sally sees Sherlock react to John getting shot

John gets shot and Sherlock breaks down à la "The Three Garridebs." Sherlock rushes over when John falls to the ground and tries to staunch the bleeding with his scarf, all the while weeping and pleading, telling John he loves him (they can be in an established relationship or this can be a first-time confession).

The twist? Some of the Yarders are on scene and get to witness Sherlock's terror and anguish. It's the moment Sally Donovan stops thinking of Sherlock as a "freak."

Bonus points to anon if you set it post-HLV and Mary is the shooter. My headcanon is that Sherlock's post-TRF vindication has forced Sally to grudgingly respect him, but I want to see her finally come to see him as human.

TW: Accidental Non-Con While Attempting to be Romantic

First time posting on the meme, but a long-time lurker. *waves* Also, long prompt is long. I'd fill this myself, but I'm not sure I have the subtlety or the sensitivity for it.

John would like to start a relationship with Sherlock, and he thinks it'll be romantic to show up at a masquerade where Sherlock's working a case, wait until the case is solved, and then, completely disguised, seduce the pants off him. Sherlock, not recognizing him, plays along, and they're making out when disguised John decides to turn things sexual. Sherlock freaks out and snaps that he can't do this because he's in love with his flatmate. John reveals himself, excited--and Sherlock accuses him of cruelty, playing games with his heart, dishonesty, and cowardice, saying something about how this is a lot of trouble for a one-night-stand, and leaves before explaining can happen. Now John has to convince Sherlock that he does in fact want a relationship, and learns a lesson about honesty and why Sherlock doesn't like to play games when he actually loves someone. Happy ending is a must.

TL;DR: John tries to be romantic but accidentally non-cons Sherlock, and realizes that seduction games are a terrible way to start a relationship.

No Mary-bashing, infidelity, or Omegaverse please. If the filler chooses to set it post-S3, have John and Mary be amicably divorced for a few years and happily sharing custody of their child.

Something scares Sherlock so much that he ends up peeing himself. Public transport molestation

They can't get a can and John finally convinces Sherlock to take the tune, saying everything will be fine, Sherlock is just irratiknlh scared.

But the train is packed and Sherlock is feeling so claustrophobic. He grips onto John and stands close. Then, his grip gets more painful and John notices the distressed look on Sherlock's face intensify. Thinking its due to the amount of peiple, John tries to reassure Sherlock until Sherlock says very meekly, "John, someone is touching me! Down there!

John pulls Sherlock closer to him but can't tell who's doing it and when they finally get off, Sherlock is beyond distressed. He keeps it together until they get home where Sherlock breaks down into tears and John must comfort him. This only cements just how terrible public transport is for Sherlock.

So, Fem!Sherlock is lounging around the house in her underwear and when news comes of a really exciting case, she's so eager to get to it she doesn't bother with clothes. Just throws on the coat and runs out the door.

When Sherlock gets there, Donovan is so turned on that she's rendered speechless and oddly complacent.

From then on, whenever Sherlock needs Donovan's cooperation (or just for fun), she just shows a little skin. She "forgets" to wear a bra, wears ridiculously low necklines, starts wearing skirts so she can flash Donovan.

Eventually, Donovan's sexual frustration pushes her to the point that she makes a move on Sherlock, who reciprocates enthusiastically.
