Prompting Part XXXV

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Song prompt

(Anonymous) 2015-01-15 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ignorance by Paramore. Dark, edgy, angsty. MAJOR Sherlock vibes from the lyrics. Go, run with this prompt(but coming back with a fill would be nice).
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GKjW-TCnu0
Lyrics:

If I'm a bad person, you don't like me
Well I guess I'll make my own way
It's a circle
A mean cycle
I can't excite you anymore
Where's your gavel? Your jury?
What's my offense this time?
You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me
Well sentence me to another life

Don't wanna hear your sad songs
I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault
Cause you know we're not the same (no)
We're not the same (no)
Oh we're not the same
Yeah the friends who stuck together
We wrote our names in blood
But I guess you can't accept that the change is good (hey)
It's good (hey)
It's good

Well you treat me just like another stranger
Well it's nice to meet you sir
I guess I'll go
I best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well it's nice to meet you sir
I guess I'll go
I best be on my way out

Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend

This is the best thing that could've happened
Any longer and I wouldn't have made it
It's not a war no, it's not a rapture
I'm just a person but you can't take it
The same tricks that, that once fooled me
They won't get you anywhere
I'm not the same kid from your memory
Well now I can fend for myself

Don't wanna hear your sad songs
I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault
Cause you know we're not the same (no)
We're not the same (no)
Oh we're not the same
Yeah we used to stick together
We wrote our names in blood
But I guess you can't accept that the change is good (hey)
It's good (hey)
It's good

Well you treat me just like another stranger
Well it's nice to meet you sir
I guess I'll go
I best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well it's nice to meet you sir
I guess I'll go
I best be on my way out

Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend

Well you treat me just like another stranger

Possible (unrequited?) John/Sherlock, John/Mary. Sherlock comes back later.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-15 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
What if Sherlock comes back later? Not 2 years later, but maybe 3,5-4?

John is already married to Mary and they have a daughter together.

What if John wants nothing to do with Sherlock, and Sherlock is in love with him and there's nothing he can do anymore to have his John back, even as just a friend?

Angsty angst please.

John/Sherlock?. Sex Change. Sherlock comes back as lady. Pining. Trauma.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-15 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
During his time away, Sherlock, for some reason, had to undergo a surgery that made him a female.

Now that she can safely come back to John, she tentatively hopes that - maybe - notgay John can finally take interest in her since John wasn't interested when Sherlock was a man, which was frustrating, because John is the only person Sherlock has ever been in love with.

The rest is up to you, but, I imagine, John's shock would be unthinkable...

Please, no Sherlock sleeping around during his time away (maybe he had to pretend to be somebody's wife/girlfriend/sister, maybe to someone who was Mycroft's agent, but nothing more than that).
Bonus if the sex change was partly forced due to some circumstances and there was no way out, so there may be a psychological trauma, too.

Another Reverse Reichenbach

[identity profile] dragonpaws.livejournal.com 2015-01-15 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so, Moriarty decides the best way to destroy Sherlock is to kill John, so he tricks John up onto the roof of Barts, makes sure Sherlock is watching, and forces John to jump (or he'll kill Sherlock, Mrs. Hudson, and Lestrade, of course). John jumps.

Of course, unbeknownst to everybody else, Mycroft had predicted Moriarty would do this and had contacted John with a deal- fake his death and then hunt down Moriarty's henchmen using the sniper skills I have decided John should have in this fic. This will keep Sherlock safe.

Years go by. John has been living on revenge (can't stop hearing the sound of Sherlock's voice over the phone as he jumped) and the hope of seeing Sherlock again. He comes back to London, to find...

that Sherlock, grieving, has quit the detective business (Moriarty beat him, John is dead, there is no point) and become a chemist and/or is working for Mycroft. He does no consulting, avoids Lestrade, and is probably going to blow himself up one day (not that he really minds). His confidence is shattered and he is a mere shadow of his old self.

Maybe he avoids John because he feels unworthy? Maybe because John tricked him and ruined his life? Maybe he immediately falls into bed with John but is totally emotionally unavailable because he is expecting John to leave him again? Maybe something else? And what happens with Mycroft? You decide!

Sorry for the super-detailed prompt, apparently I had a lot of thoughts and feels to get off my chest.

John/Sebastien- kidnapping and hanging out (slight dubcon mentioned)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-16 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
I just read "Their Men" and it hit me. I needed more John/Seb interactions!

Prompt: Moran starts bumping into John by accident pre-sherlock and than on purpose after. Throws in some kidnapping once both their geniuses are gone. John is bored enough to play along.

Bonus:
Sherlock and Jim come back to Moran trying to sex up John (while possibly not sober) and John looking like he is right about to reach for his gun (while aroused). This is basically how most of their relationship has been even without the sex.

Bonus:
John is actually slightly scared of Moran. Moran kinda insane and volatile. John hides it well though!

Bonus: Just like there is some dark in John there is good in Moran. He got discharged for disobeying order for a GOOD reason.

Mycroft says do unto others

Sherlock/John in which Sherlock becomes terrified of orgasming during penetrative sex

(Anonymous) 2015-01-16 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
And will always grab his genitals in a last ditch effort to stop it.

John is concerned and does doctory things.

Sort of pedophilia and rape - Sherlock, an omega but smells like a child, john hates coming home to

(Anonymous) 2015-01-16 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock is rare sort of omega who smells like a child to most. Also, even rarer, he doesn't produce as much slick so lube and stretching is crucial before taking an alphas knot. But Sherlock is still definitely adult.

There are not many people who would fuck Sherlock or get into a relationship with him because 1) his personality and 2) he smells like a child.

John, after living with Sherlock for so long has come to see himself as Sherlock's protector, his family... And he hates it when he comes home and finds out that Sherlock has been having sex with some other alpha. More often than not, the alpha is very likely to be a pedophile who gets off on Sherlock's scent. It's actually rather disgusting to John. But Sherlock is a consenting adult and well, as long as Sherlock is using protection and the alphas are using extra lube and stretching....

Until John comes home one day and instantly knows something is wrong. (I'm rooting for alpha John getting physical with another alpha and chucking him out on the street before tending to Sherlock). Eventual Johnlock and bonding which leads to Sherlock's scent maturing slightly, not a lot but enough to not smell like a child and John finally has sex with Sherlock.

Sherlock and Mycroft have got some sort of a mental bond.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-16 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock's mind is amazing, but Mycroft's somehow goes even beyond that. Sometimes he can contact Sherlock, using his mind alone. The bond isn't that much, actually... It's just, sometimes, when Sherlock is hurt, scared, trapped, confused and so on, Mycroft can feel it. He can get into Sherlock's mind palace and give him a recommendation or comfort him in non-sentimental ways. He just makes Sherlock's thoughts go in right directions and find answers, maybe criticises him, too (it's Mycroft, okay? :)).

There can be a situation where Sherlock gets kidnapped (some very desperate situation would be perfect). Maybe he was drugged or just unconscious, so it's hard for him to tell where he is to try to get out or alert Mycroft via his mind palace about his location, so they have to solve it together.

If you want to include a pairing, johnlock (unrequited is okay, too) is very welcome. I'm also okay with mystrade.

I prefer adult characters. Maybe Mycroft masters the skill when they are both adults and Sherlock is stunned, because he can't believe his brother can do something like this.

(TW: Non-con) Sherlock/Magnussen - "You'll Get Used to It"

(Anonymous) 2015-01-17 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Magnussen makes good on the veiled threat he makes toward a drugged, helpless Sherlock in the deleted scene on the bonus disc of the box set. He continues to pay Sherlock unwanted visits over the next few weeks, stroking cold, clammy hands over his naked skin against his will while taunting him about his hopeless love for John. The touches become progressively more intimate, until, at last, Magnussen starts doing explictly sexual things to Sherlock. Touching his cock. Fingering him. And, finally, fucking him, taking his virginity in the process.

Bonus points if John is forced to watch the last one.

John blames himself for Sherlock's rape. And he doesn't hide his anger.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-17 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe John was even forced to watch it. Maybe it was Magnussen.

Sherlock doesn't blame John but he doesn't exactly make that known either. He lets John blame himself.

Steampunk!Mycroft

[identity profile] emily robbins (from livejournal.com) 2015-01-17 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok, I recently got into Steampunk and my little brain has been turning this over ever since.

Mycroft is a huge Steampunk fan; he wears the clothes, goes to events, etc. He characterises himself as a slightly mad inventor with aristocratic blood he'd rather ignore.

Anyway, one day he's interrupted during a day off (wearing full Steampunk gear) and has to be in Parliament IMMEDIATELY. So he changes in the back of the car as it drives through London (tinted windows to avoid random people seeing him undress) where he always keeps a spare suit for such emergencies.

It goes fine, he's on time and relatively composed, he walks into the meeting ready to stun and... Everyone' stunned and staring at him. He's said nothing. He's deeply confused and tries to carry on, but everyone's still staring at him. Then someone points out the gold goggles around his neck.

Take it from there, dear authors. Does Mycroft have to explain what Steampunk is? Does he get laughed out of the room (only to be brought back a week later with sincere apologies as they can't function without him)? Do any other characters find out? Does Sherlock know? Is Sherlock a bit of a Steampunk fan himself?

Thanks :)

Sherlock adopts a pet

(Anonymous) 2015-01-17 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock kinda-sorta adopts a stray cat or dog (in the sense that he lets it into the flat, feeds it, etc.). John is a bit alarmed because Sherlock is giving no indication whether this is intentionally permanent, or just because he's bored, or it's for a case/experiment and he's secretly feeding it radioactive food or something. Sherlock shows absolutely no emotional attachment to the animal, but he's also given no clues as to why he took it in. John finally confronts him and demands that he explain - if Sherlock wants to adopt a pet, he needs to prove to John that he's capable of actually caring for it (nit just until he gets bored). And if he's not planning to keep it, he needs to find it a home pronto, because John's not going to stand for any live-animal-experiments in his flat.

Sherlock is truly, honestly offended that John would think so little of him as to assume he has no idea how to take care of a pet. (Up to you whether John is actually right or not, and whether Sherlock is revealing a secret nurturing side or whether he really did just think of the animal as another piece of experimental apparatus.)

Alpha!John takes care of both Holmes Omega brothers. Johnlock and mystrade endgame.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-17 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Both Mycroft and Sherlock hide the fact that they are Omegas in every way they can. Unfortunately, the older they get, the less effect suppressants and scent concealers have on them, despite them no longer being in their most fertile ages. Maybe others even learn about their secondary gender as a result. Still, they can no longer go on without help.

They need someone to serve the both of them, someone who won't blabber anything about them to the press or their enemies (Mycroft's enemies would be especially thrilled to learn everything about his vulnerabilities or send a spy to learn even more, while the media would be curious about the consulting detective's personal life). Maybe Alphas are not really common to boot.

After doing some search, Mycroft finds John, a strong Alpha, despite being invalided, a soldier and a doctor, who can't be bribed or threatened by enemies.

John needs something to do with his life, even through whoring himself out isn't exactly what he'd love to do with it. But he starts to take care of both Sherlock's and Mycroft's heats and look after their health, and it isn't that bad at all.

Eventually, he falls in love with Sherlock, who loves him back. But he can't just abandon the other Omega he's in charge with (especially if Omegas are really vulnerable during their heats and sensitive to their partners being interested in someone else or not being attentive enough), so he plays a match-maker and one day brings Greg with him, who's a recently divorced Alpha, curious about Sherlock's mysterious brother.

Shag-a-lot Holmes

[identity profile] vgerd.livejournal.com 2015-01-18 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
My wish-fulfillment fic: All of the things that Janine "made up" for the tabloids after breaking off her engagement to Sherlock... actually happened. I don't care if it was because Sherlock was high, or trying to make John jealous, or whatever. I want to see "Shag-a-lot Holmes" in action. And I want to see John's reaction when he finds out the real reason why Sherlock reacted so calmly to Janine's post-engagement campaign to humiliate him was because it's all true.

Bonus: Sherlock is secretly amused by Janine's antics because he knows exactly how hard it will be to convince his friends and family that she's NOT lying. Over time, they all discover the truth, and are flabbergasted. Particularly Mycroft, who realizes for the first time just how far off he was when he figured Sherlock was "alarmed" by sex. Rather, Sherlock was incredibly intrigued and sought out answers for his curiosity about sex/sexuality in the wake of his flirtation with Irene in ASIB.

HUGE bonus: It turns out that Sherlock secretly lost his virginity to Irene Adler, and they were lovers for all the time he was gone, meeting for secret trysts around the world. She gave him a real... education, which he then put to use with Janine (and others). He EARNED that nickname the tabloids gave him. If it turns out his motivation was to try and move past his secret love for John, all the better (he doesn't have to "get over" that love, just stop pining and get on with life). Angst is good.

John/Sherlock. Lap-sitting.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-19 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock is pants in relationships and things like that, so don't expect him to act normal when he gets together with John. Sherlock has seen couples, mostly young couples, but couples nonetheless; he's seen girls, sitting on their boyfriends' laps. He used to roll his eyes at everything like that, but now that he's with John, why can't he act like that, too? They are a couple and John is warm, his lap is comfortable. If others can do it, why the hell he can't?

So, sometimes, he shocks some people by making himself comfortable in John's lap, be it in a restaurant, a witness' flat or NSY.

Mycroft says: "the tribe has spoken"

John/? - Almost together (sorta Hobbit crossover but not really)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-20 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
Prompt:
When John meets Sherlock it is after helping his husband (or could be just friend) with some grand quest/incredibly difficult mission. Said husband dies. Or "dies".

Essentially he has a hobbit-like experience where at the end John's husband dies. Sherlock helps him forget but doesn't figure it out until later.

+5 He ends up as Jim's right hand man due to tangling himself up in a bunch of bad things after his fake death.

John's revenge.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-20 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
John only seemingly forgave Sherlock. After the bomb incident when Sherlock had manipulated him again, John decided that this is it; he just had to wait for a good moment for his revenge. And then there was the wedding and other stuff we all know.

Everything seems to be just great, so John decides that it's time. He includes Mary into his plan. Together they fake John's death and make sure Sherlock is somehow to blame. Mary, as a "devastated widow", makes sure to throw it all into Sherlock's face. She also makes sure that it becomes a common knowledge. She had already fooled Sherlock before, so John using her help creates a very convincing lie.

Sherlock is so distraught, he starts having mental problems, drug problems, and such.

A year, or more, later, John "comes back" and asks Sherlock what it feels like, the betrayal, and otherwise makes sure Sherlock is destroyed. Maybe he has people around to witness it all, like Sherlock had when he came to that restaurant.

Sherlock will never be the same.

Re: John's revenge.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-24 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't realise I needed this until now. The amount of angst in the prompt alone... Really hope someone fills this.

(Mycroft says 'it hurts'. Clearly he agrees with me.)

Coraline/Sherlock crossover - Wybie is related to the Holmes brothers

[identity profile] emily robbins (from livejournal.com) 2015-01-20 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Wybie in Coraline is distantly related to Sherlock and Mycroft, but Mycroft's always pointed out the long coats, curly hair, know-it-all nature and interest in things that are, quite frankly, disgusting as parallels. Please give me something where the three meet up. Maybe Sherlock brings John and Wybie brings Coraline?

*Ducks flying projectiles* Please, I'd love to see this meeting.

Thank you :)

A Sherlock Christmas Special prompt

(Anonymous) 2015-01-21 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
To make the Victorian outfits make sense, I really want to see a story that starts with a conversation among Sherlock, John, and Mary that ends up going something like:
Sherlock: (to prove John an idiot) Like that time you thought we were magically transported to the Victorian age?
John: I thought we agreed never to mention that again...
Mary: Oh, I don't know this story!

And so they tell her the story of how Sherlock knocked out/drugged John, and when John woke up he was dressed in Victorian clothes and without any modern tech (phone, watch, etc) in an old country mansion full of other people in Victorian outfits... and then there's a dead body...

Turns out it's a Victorian-themed murder mystery party, and the other guests don't like to break character (ever) so all act confused when he mentions modern things.

Bonus points if the dead body is real and only Sherlock and John know that
Ten times bonus points for every day John is kept in the dark about the year they're in...

SECONDING SO HARD

Sherlock comes back, but it no longer matters. (Character's Death, Angst)

(Anonymous) 2015-01-21 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock comes back and immediately gets depressed when he learns what had happened during his absence. Mrs Hudson has been dead for some time (died of old age, plain and simple).

Lestrade was fired because of everything that had happened before Sherlock's fake suicide. He's no longer in NSY and gets drunk sometimes.

Molly no longer wants to see Sherlock after lying to people for so long and watching them falling apart, because she couldn't tell them that Sherlock was alive, and Sherlock didn't bother to inform them himself. Gradually, it made her feel disappointed in Sherlock so much that, if he needs her lab for something, it's best if he asks somebody from another shift, not her.

And John... John had mourned him for two years, but seeing Sherlock's cruel lies now, he's so disappointed that he doesn't even allow himself to look back. He moves on. If he's with Mary, he never lets her convince him to talk to Sherlock, and she accepts it.

Depression, angst and heartbreak, please.

After sex, Sherlock deletes some bits and tries to deduce them

(Anonymous) 2015-01-21 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly what it says on the tin. Sherlock gets off on deducing exactly what his lover has done to him. He remembers that he deleted something, and maybe he doesn't delete all of it.
Any pairing or nothing in particular. I don't like Holmescest but if you really want to write it, I'd just like to suggest some sort of competition between Mycroft and Sherlock on whether he deduced correctly.
If it's Johnlock, ++ if John doesn't know what Sherlock's doing at first.

Reichenbach AU request

Sherlock has been recruited by MI6 to take out Moriarty and his network. The Fall is all part of the plan. In return for Sherlock's cooperation in faking his own death, Mycroft's agents agree to keep John, Greg and Mrs. Hudson safe, and to work to clear his name while Sherlock is busy with the task of destroying Moriarty's network. It takes almost two years to complete the task, and Sherlock returns... a changed man. Strong, take charge, ruthless, yet no longer out of touch with his emotions. A warrior, capable of raining hellfire down on those who threaten the people he cares about. A man looking to reclaim John from the clutches of the duplicitous Mary Morstan, who was the most devious and crafty of all Moriarty's lieutenants (whether she is actually Moran is up to you), by engaging in a very dangerous game with her - the ultimate prize for which is the heart of John Watson.
