Prompting Part XXXV

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Post Return, angsty John/Sherlock

(Anonymous) 2015-02-02 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Post Sherlock's return, John and Sherlock add (rekindle, if you want them to have been together before Reichenbach) a sexual element to their relationship.

Sherlock warns John about the scars he has now. He says he knows they're not attractive, suggests they could try with the lights off, or that he could keep his shirt on to hide them. John reassures Sherlock that he thinks he is beautiful rrgardless.

But when it comes to it, John just can't stay aroused when he sees those scars. It's not because of how they look, but because he just pictures Sherlock being hurt, and it kills him.

Sherlock of course takes things the wrong way and feels humiliated even if he is saying 'I told you so'.

Angst and John reassuring Sherlock and also having to deal with his own feelings of guilt and regret for not being able to protect Sherlock.

Reposted Prompt Alpha/beta Dynamics

[identity profile] tat63.livejournal.com 2015-02-03 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock Holmes, the world's only consulting detective, is cold, ruthless, arrogant, and has no time or patience for sentiment. He is also an unbonded Omega who is careful to take his heat suppressants, as, unlike the average Omega (and Sherlock, as he will gladly tell you, is anything but average), he has no desire to become the human equivalent of a broodmare to some hormone-driven Alpha male, popping out one baby after another year after year until his eggs dry up. Such purported “domestic bliss” might be what other Omegas strove to achieve, but not him. He has better things to do. Like solving crimes and proving time and time again how utterly useless the local police force often was when it came to doing the same.

Then one day he is called into a case that proves extremely difficult and time-consuming to solve. As days stretch into weeks with no resolution, Sherlock becomes so focused on finding the solution he neglects to take his suppressants. One day he decides to revisit the crime scene, hoping to unearth some new clue that will hopefully point him in the right direction. Unbeknownst to him, however, Anderson has had the same idea. Also unbeknownst to him, he's beginning to go into heat, something Anderson, an unbonded Alpha, instantly realizes when the two bump into each other at the crime scene. Hardly able to believe his good fortune, Anderson wastes no time forcing himself on his hated rival, knowing this initial mating will form the beginnings of a bond which, if successfully completed, will eventually leave Sherlock under his complete and utter control. Of course that's the last thing Sherlock wants, but his vast intellect stands no chance against thousands of years of biology and he is helpless to resist as Anderson bends him over on the floor and mounts him. A bite to the neck and the potential for a permanent bond is formed. All that remains is a successful impregnation and birth of a child, and the two men will be inexorably tied together for the rest of their lives.

While Anderson is determined to succeed in this final step, Sherlock is just as determined he will not. He limits his exposure to Anderson as much as possible and adamantly refuses to give into the ever present and instinctive desire to take up residence with his new “mate”, either by leaving Baker Street or allowing Anderson to move in. Undeterred, Anderson takes full advantage of the limited power he now holds over Sherlock. He enthusiastically “scents” Sherlock on the limited occasions they are in each other’s presence, rubbing his body all over the detective, practically smothering him with pheromones and leaving behind an unmistakable and undeniable message that Sherlock belongs to him and him alone. Such times are rare, however, and only fuel his desire to cement the bond and make Sherlock permanently his. But since that requires the birth of a pup, Anderson begins making regular visits to Baker Street, bedding Sherlock and knotting him frequently in a concerted effort to impregnate the detective. But already having made the disastrous mistake of forgetting to take his suppressants, Sherlock is not about to do the same when it comes to his birth control. While biology will not permit him to refuse Anderson’s attempts at procreation, it cannot stop him from employing any means necessary to assure such attempts will fail. Thus the situation remains at an impasse, with both parties stubbornly refusing to yield.

Then one day an ex-army doctor going by the name of John Hamish Watson, who happens to be an unbonded Alpha, steps into a lab at Bart's to meet someone who could potentially become his new flat mate. Shortly afterward he finds himself sharing his life with a man who is at times an incredible genius and at others a spoiled brat. And while John is aware Sherlock is an Omega, he has no idea the detective has been “claimed” until they go to their first crime scene together. Anderson is already there and immediately pounces on Sherlock, "scenting" him furiously. To John’s surprise, Sherlock makes no attempt to halt or even protest Anderson’s actions; instead he goes to his knees and remains there, stiff and silent as the air becomes saturated with pheromones.

[identity profile] tat63.livejournal.com 2015-02-03 02:43 am (UTC)(link)

For John, the actions of the two men leave him both shocked and confused. It is blatantly
apparent that he was wrong when he thought Sherlock was unattached and that his flat mate and Anderson are, if nothing else, in the early stages of bonding. But if that were the case, why is Sherlock living with John and not Anderson? For a bond to grow and strengthen, both Omega and Alpha need to spend the majority of their time in each other’s presence. So why were these two living apart? Not to mention the final step leading to a permanent bond – the birth of a child. Why would Sherlock invite John to flat share with him knowing all along that once he became pregnant, that arrangement would have to end? Unless Sherlock intended for both Anderson and the baby join them in Baker Street. But that was more than impracticable; there simply wasn’t enough room. No, it made more sense for Sherlock and Anderson to find a place much more suitable to raise a family. And Baker Street definitely did not fill the bill. So why would Sherlock think it was a good idea to have John move into Baker Street when all along it was only a temporary situation?

But John soon has the answer to that question as he notes Sherlock’s reaction as Anderson leans over to sink his teeth into the soft, pale skin at the back of his neck. Immediately those gray-blue eyes fill with fear and loathing, making it clear that for Sherlock, this pairing is not a happy one. That thought does not sit well with John.

No, it does not sit well at all.

Reposted Prompt

[identity profile] tat63.livejournal.com 2015-02-03 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, has been missing for three days. At 221B Baker Street, Dr. John H. Watson, his flat mate/companion/blogger/comrade-in-arms/whatever else you’d like to call him, isn’t worried. Long ago he’d worked out an agreement with the detective when it came to Sherlock’s habit of suddenly disappearing without leaving word of his plans or destination: up to two days with no communication, no worries. Three days, start to worry. Four days, worry even more and call Lestrade. Five days, really worry and call Mycroft. Sherlock had protested loudly and vehemently when it came to that last clause, but John refused to budge. Considering the detective’s propensity for getting into trouble, never mind the fact he had made numerous enemies over the years, many of whom would love to get their hands on him, John was not hesitant at all about using every resource available to him if there was even a hint Sherlock was in trouble.

But like so many times before, there turned out to be no reason to worry. On the evening of the third day, Sherlock came home. And while his entrance into the flat lacked its customary dramatic flare and while he was more quiet and reserved than usual following his return, and while he suddenly developed a respect for boundaries, no longer crowding into John’s personal space, instead remaining at a respectful distance, John simply put all that down to his flat mate’s rather quirky behavior and habits. God knows he’d seen enough of them since taking up residence with the brilliant but exasperating man-child, so he saw no reason for concern this time around, as well.

Then one day while John is at work, Sherlock is called to a crime scene. The body of a young male has been discovered in an alley a few blocks from Baker Street. There is no identification on the body nor is there any sign of a murder weapon. Not surprising, as while it is clear the victim met with a violent end, the evidence, or lack thereof, indicates the murder took place somewhere else and the body dumped in the alley after the fact.

A text to John reveals that he is in the middle of a minor surgery and thus unable to join him, so Sherlock travels to the crime scene alone. When he arrives, he discovers that while the victim is completely clothed, there are clear indications of bruising and other injuries hidden underneath. With Lestrade’s permission, he quickly and efficiently begins to divest the body of its clothing when he suddenly freezes. For what meets his eyes is unmistakable evidence that at some point before he was murdered, the young man had been viciously raped and sodomized. Sherlock stumbles back from the body, eyes wide, face deathly pale. He falls to his knees, wrapping his arms around his stomach. With his head bent so low it almost touches the ground, he begins sobbing and screaming, crying out for John over and over again. Lestrade and the others can only stare at him, shocked and stunned at his behavior. Then again, they don’t know what happened to him those three days he went missing. Neither does John. But he is determined to find out.

Badfic bingo encouraged. Collaborations encouraged. Go wild.

Prompts:
Anderson is crying, hugging a dinosaur, and wearing leather pants. (poor Anderson)

Generic Evil Bad Guy Moriarty and Cerulean Eyed Sherlock have a "tense" standoff, but both walk away unharmed and with an empty threat to the other. (c, wuznt dat dramtic?)

Crossover with whatever the heck you want.

+1000 if someone is "crying silent tears".
+10000 is any sex scene involves first times for one or both parties involved, but somehow they're a sex god.

Past abusive and noncon older!Victor/Sherlock, John realises after someone makes a joke

(Anonymous) 2015-02-03 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
John knew there was once a Victor in Sherlock's life a very long time ago.

Victor was an older (by 5-6 years) mentor to Sherlock.

Someone teases Sherlock about it. Maybe Victor gets his 15 mins of fame or something and someone finds out. But anyway, they make a joke that wow victor was so close, don't lie Sherlock, you two must have had a little something something going on - insinuating Sherlock and Victor's fall out was really just a lovers spat exaggerated or something.

John rolls his eyes but is shocked by Sherlock's reaction and subsequent behaviour. Sherlock reacts with laughter. Unbelievable, pained, forced laughter. And repeats the question many times back, unable to give a direct answer and preferring to answer with a question. Sherlock's behaviour at home also changed and this is what truly concerns John and he puts together what their relationship was and Sherlock panics because he can see that John knows.

Mycroft knew but didn't do anything at first because he knew that he couldn't save Sherlock when Sherlock wanted to be with Victor. He only stepped in later when Sherlock had a breakdown.

Sherlock safe words out, tries to take it back, hides from John and suffers subdrop

(Anonymous) 2015-02-03 09:33 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock safe words out during normal sex (ie not during a scene). He instantly takes it back. John is surprised that the safe word is used but is even more surprised when Sherlock tries to take it back when he so clearly isn't okay.

For whatever reason Sherlock fights and runs away from John when John tries to calm him down. And he manages to lock himself in a closet (or somewhere in the house that's dark and cold) in an attempt to feel safe.

John can't get through to him straight away and Sherlock falls into subdrop.

+1 Sherlock is suffering from PTSD which gets worse over time.
+100 Sherlock goes into shock.
+1000 john manages to get Sherlock out and treats him
+1000000 damage is done, it lasts for a long time.

But the world has names because he is really bitching about actual people of other governments.

Mycroft is a Kingsman

(Anonymous) 2015-02-03 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
So I watched the film Kingsman: The Secret Service today and there's a scene (it's on 20th Century Fox's youtube page) that made me immediately think of Mycroft and his umbrella and how awesome he'd be at bartitsu (something that Sherlock is meant to be great at in the books.)

So yeah. Please indulge me. I'd love to see Mycroft as a Kingsman, using his umbrella as the ultimate weapon while John and Sherlock watch with their mouths hanging open.

If there's anything even vaguely similar, I would be very grateful for links. Please and thank you!

John/Sherlock (unrequited), John/Mary. Alpha!John, Omega!Sherlock. Breastfeeding. Angst.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-04 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
The idea is partly stolen from another fandom.

For some reason Mary can't breastfeed her and John's baby (no dead Mary, please) and baby formula doesn't do a great job for the baby's tum.

Sherlock is an omega, he decides to interfere. He starts taking hormones that make him produce milk. When it finally works he secretly tries to nurse the little girl. Bonus if it's a very awkward and uncomfortable experience, at least at first, especially given that Sherlock has been rejecting his nature his whole life and he's obviously got no experience at all. He's never wanted a bond (unless it's with John) a family and, gods forbid, children. But helping John's baby is the closest he can get to being John's family and avoid being left behind again, at least for the time being. Sherlock is hopelessly in love with John. Angst, please, as much as you can give. He does it for John (maybe he doesn't really care much about the baby at first), but bonds with the little girl, partly because he just gets used to her warmth and weight in his arms, partly because his Omega instincts kick in, maybe not entirely, just for this particular baby. But maybe the hormone therapy has some side effects, maybe the Omega in him doesn't understand why Alpha!John isn't his (and why the baby isn't his either. He's also afraid the baby will be taken away from him and he'll feel empty).

Mary and John are thankful and pleasantly surprised he'd do something like this for them and their little girl.

Mike Stamford

(Anonymous) 2015-02-04 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Mike Stamford is beacon of friendliness and optimism. So of course Sherlock can't stand him. One more "mate" or "bravo!" out of the man and Sherlock will beat him with his riding crop and soak his organs in formaldehyde.

That is, until Mike brings him Dr. John Watson.

I'd really like to see Sherlock grit his teeth and give Mike Stamford the "thank you" he deserves. After all, without him John and Sherlock would never have met.

p.s. If you don't see how Mike Stamford is annoying, just look at John's blog posts. You'll understand.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-04 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Seconding! I've been considering prompting some Mike Stamford interactions with Sherlock.

John calls Mrs Hudson "Mum"

(Anonymous) 2015-02-04 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
Are there any fics about John accidentally calling Mrs Huson mum? Whether it was after a bad day or just a slip of the tongue during conversation, I'd really like to read it. How does John feel when he's left alone to think about it?

Mary leaves John, Sherlock decides to track her down.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-05 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Mary leaves John and disappears without a trace (you decide if she's going back to her old life or if she's trying to protect John from people from her past). John moves back to Baker Street and while Sherlock's glad to have John back, he hates to see him heartbroken, so he decides to track Mary down and bring her back to John.

Re: Mary leaves John, Sherlock decides to track her down.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Seconding the latter idea of protecting John.

Vampire!Mycroft, Sherlock has no idea, mystery, AU, supernatural,

[identity profile] alex455.livejournal.com 2015-02-05 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Mycroft is send undercover abroad by his masters.
(take your pick where to).
He's attacked, bitten, turned into a vampire. He disappears for 6 - 12 months. When he comes back, he acts like nothing has happened. But Sherlock is suspecting something. In time, Mycroft's wardrobe is starting to change. He's starting to wear more black/deep purple clothes, dyes his hair black, his nails on the hands are longer, he starts wearing rings, earrings etc. (If you want to get the idea what I mean, search on Youtube - Blutengel: You walk away video. I'm thinking of Mycroft looking something like that.)
Sherlock notices that his brothers eye color changes at will (once to red and once to white color) and he's faster and stronger than before.
Mycroft also starts frequenting clubs that are not registered anywhere. At the same time, when Mycroft comes back, weird deaths are starting to follow. The victims are drained of blood, nothing connects them. What has Mycroft brought behind him to London? Who's behind those deaths? And why is Mycroft in one of these clubs dancing anyway? He doesn't dance. Right?

Warnings: blood, death, vampires.
I know that there are vamp!lock prompts out there but I don't think there are many vamp!Mycroft. Mostly vamp!Sherlock or even vamp!John but rarely Mycroft. Usually he's already turned or born that way. So Mycroft-centric story would be nice.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-05 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock really did die in Reichenbach. Everyone is shocked when he rises, looking like a zombie, but with all his memories and feelings intact. It takes John a while to realize that zombie!sherlock is the same sherlock he fell in love with.

Mary is a product of the Red Room. One of the people she has been avoiding is Natasha Romanov, who was in her training group, because she only knew her before Fury brought her into SHIELD, when Natasha was a less nice person than she is now. Circumstances happen and they meet up and discover they've both moved on and away from their pasts and what it's cost them to do so.

Superpowers AU

(Anonymous) 2015-02-05 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Because who doesn't love super powers? In a world where people with special abilities is common enough I'd love to see the cast with unique abilities. Not everyone wears their powers in their sleeve except everyone thinks Sherlock's ability is rather obvious - of course his way of reading others. Or...is it? (So...it would be nice to see a superpower AU where Sherlock's power isn't necessary telepathy or, rather, could be a darker form of it - can literally kill with his mind, for example).

Could be Sherlock/John established relationship or just friendship, just please give me some action scenes/good case fic.

As an after thought, of course Mycroft's abilities would be stalking keeping track of anyone he chooses to. Curiously enough or not Sherlock seems to be immune to this...

Painter! Jim

(Anonymous) 2015-02-06 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Jim's an artist. He's still a criminal mastermind, painting's just one of his outlets. And it's useful in forgeries. Sebastian's his favourite subject but he is freaking POSSESSIVE of the portraits, doesn't let even the sniper see them.

Sebastian sees them anyway. Maybe he orders them destroyed after his death, or he gets transported to the future when Jim's only remembered as an artist. Just, anything.

BONUS POINTS; Sebastian loves art. So much he'll flat out refuse to destroy a museum or kill someone if it'll damage a painting.

Mycroft goes on one of his missions, is raped, comes back to see John for medical

(Anonymous) 2015-02-06 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone thinks Mycroft never does his own missions. That's not true. Sometimes he does it himself because he can't bring himself to send an agent to his almost certain death. Mycroft completes the mission. He is fine. He just needs John to prescribe him some meds to take care of the potential STDs.

While talking to Mycroft, John realises what happened and asks if he can physically examine Mycroft for internal damage etc. At first Mycroft declines but he changes his mins later. But John asks if he's sure because doing the examination against one's will is like rape again. Mycroft scoffs - it's not like the sex was completely non consensual, he technically agreed to it because the other option is death and war.

Implied Sherlock has also made this choice.

+10000 if Mycroft making fun of Sherlock's virginity is just a way for the both of them to cope - for Mycroft, it's because he couldn't save his brother from this fate and for Sherlock is because Sherlock has never had sex without underlying consequences (ie he's never had sex for pleasure).

Jim and John - John beaks off contact due to morals

(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Prompt:
John and Moriarty grew up together. John was kept in the dark for a long time about Jim but when he found out about the fact Moriarty was working with a bunch of bad people (and was a criminal mastermind) he broke off all contact with him. Jim actually lets him go despite being pissed off to high heavens and wracked with grief.

John eventually goes off , gets shot, and finds Sherlock.

+5 Jim gets (or tries to) a replacement!John . Sebastien could be it or a robot version of John .

+10 If it's Seb he is more than just the 'muscle.' Like he has a degree in something or is good at things more than just killing.

+100 John was his step-bro

+1000 They were in a relationship despite that. I'd rather not see underaged smut though.

Mycroft and Sherlock- not actually related AU

(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock isn't Mycroft's brother. Or family. He meet Mycroft one day when he was a young man and Mycroft, for whatever reason, latched on to him . Mycroft literally just decided he was going to take over Sherlock's "empty" big brother position and it didn't (and doesnt') matter WHAT Sherlock says or does Mycroft is firm in this. Sherlock speculates it could be due to many things: the fact they were both geniuses, had similar world views, Sherlock was younger, in need of help...maybe Myrcroft was just lonely.

+10 Sherlock's parents are okay with this and even let Mycroft come over for tea and act like a real family member because he's done a shit ton of favors for the family in general including saving Sherlock numerous times and reporting back to them in detail what is going on with their son. All without actually wanting anything in return (or so it seems to them).
