But where glass shards cut and hurt anyone who tries to touch them, the ice shards simply melt away and eventually the water dries and there's no evidence the ice was ever there in the first place. So why are people always so surprised that, when put under enough pressure, the ice-man shatters?

Somehow, I can just picture a perfectly asexual, no-interest-in-performing-the-deed-himself virgin Sherlock busting in the door every time John brings home a man/woman, and wanting to watch in the name of "research" (Can't you just hear "But, Jaaawn! It is in the name of /science/"). Sherlock is so determined to conduct his study that he won't even allow John to wank off undisturbed (I'll leave precisely how Sherlock seems to know exactly when John is about to masturbate up to the authors...discretion. Soyez creatif!).

There are apparently no Sherlolly watersports stories on AO3. I would like someone to remedy this (or point me to them).

If you want an idea to start off with - how about something involving Sherlock having to "pee in a pot" in Molly's lab in HLV?

(LOL, typed this on a Mac and it helpfully corrected the title to "Sherlock/Molly waterspouts" so bonus if someone writes that as well :P)

Sherlock gives Lestrade a makeover

Sherlock gets a call from an unknown number one day - it turns out to be Lestrade's daughter. Her dad's divorce has been final for ages now and he's still moping around and he's never going to find anyone looking like /that/ and she saw Sherlock on the news and he obviously knows a thing or two about style and fashion so would he pretty please come with her and Lestrade to go give her poor dad a wardrobe makeover?

Mostly I just want to see Sherlock forcing Lestrade to go get some better clothes, a new haircut, etc. - if it leads to a Sherstrade (or Lestrade/anyone else) pairing, great, but straight crack is good too :-D

Molly is Moriarty's sister, younger by a year or two.

Living in the same house with a psychopath was hell on earth. She never knew what mood Jim would be in. He physically, emotionally, and sexually abused her--always being careful to not leave visible marks or traces. He also constantly kept her trapped in a web of manipulation, threats, and lies.

She learned to be as invisible as possible, because sometimes it gave her a shred of protection from him when he was in one of his volatile moods.

As Jim started to build his criminal empire, she at least got a little respite from him. Then her brother demanded that she help him get close to Sherlock. Her reaction to Sherlock's comments about Jim was despair that even he doesn't see what's going on.

I'd like to see Sherlock and/or John finding out what's been going on and helping her through it / keeping her safe from her brother / starting to rebuild her sense of self.

Mycroft says 'Start from scratch'. Ouch.

Babysitter!John/Underage!Sherlock

When Sherlock is just hitting puberty, he gets a new babysitter, an older boy named John. Sherlock instantly develops a bone-melting crush on him. Somehow (author's choice) John finds out about this. Since Sherlock was beautiful and brilliant even then, John starts sleeping with him.

PLEASE bottom!lock.

Also, please make John as non-dark as possible. Dark story, sure, but it'd be really great if all the scary/overwhelming things are more because John doesn't understand, rather than because he's actually trying to hurt Sherlock.

Bonus points
- One of John's driving motivations is that he also finds out that Sherlock has never had an orgasm (despite repeated attempts to take care of the hard-ons he gets when hot babysitter!John smiles at him, or gets something off a high shelf. . .)
- Age difference is a few years, and John is only 16/17-ish at most (younger might be better, actually)
- The Gradual Sexual Awakening of Sherlock Holmes, over the course of many of John's visits

- Sherlock comes at least four times every encounter. . . including the first one

Had this idea for a while. Hope this is the place to leave it. It's kinda long, sorry about that.

When Mycroft was young he became online-friends with a boy named "James" who told him he was a member of this underground organization. James was as clever as Mycroft and for once, he felt like he had met someone who could understand him, that he could actually care about someone other than his family.

A few years into their online relationship, however, Mycroft was told he was getting too close to the Organization and that "James" had been killed for his slip up.

Mycroft never dared to care again... but he never forgot.

Maybe because of that, he was always two steps behind Moriarty, because he feared this Jim person was his James, coming to get revenge against him.

Maybe it was the reason he allowed Sherlock his relationship with the ordinary Dr. Watson.

But when Jim Moriarty decided to come back from the dead and Sherlock started to slip into the shadows, he receives a call to go to 221B, only to find his brother standing in horrified silence and one Dr. Watson staring at them both with apologetic eyes.

"I'm sorry," he said. "I never meant to bring this over to you two."

"I was ordered to keep my distance or they would kill you, Mike, and take all you loved with you..." he said.

"But once they let me go I... I just couldn't stay away, you made Britain sound so beautiful I just... And Sherlock happened and I just couldn't leave you two alone anymore," he said.

"James..." Mycroft whispered, shocked.

Dr. Watson smiled a small, rueful smile.

"Hamish... actually," he said. "I thought I was being rather obvious."

Magnussen and Mycroft are Next Door Neighbors

Something I read off Tumblr about Magnussen that got me thinking. Since Magnussen had John and Sherlock picked up from Sherlock's parents' house to go to Appledore, then theoretically Magnussen lives close by.

Basically I want a neighbors fic where Mycroft and Magnussen are next door neighbors who hate each other and try to annoy each other as much as humanly possible. You can have them trying to outdo each other by who does the better Christmas parties, who has the better car, to really petty stuff like teepeeing someone's house, crankcalls, etc.

Bonus if you can get Magnussen send gifts to mummy and daddy Holmes just to spite Mycroft, and Mycroft is trying to burn them even though mummy likes the cakes and candies from that "nice Danish boy"

Harry gets arrested

Harry ends up in jail overnight, probably for something alcohol-related, and calls John to bail her out. John can't "fix it" without a lot of help from Sherlock/Lestrade/Mycroft (whomever), but they're not as willing to enable an obvious alcoholic as John is.

Up to you whether John has to return a "favor" in exchange, plead his case, get in an argument, go all BAMF and solve the issue himself, etc.

John/Sherlock, John binds Sherlock's injuries excessively, dubcon

John binds/bandages any, even minor, injury of Sherlock's excessively, limiting his mobility, forcing him to rest and making him vulnerable, dependent on John.
I'm talking "Keep your leg straight or you'll pop your stitches. You know what, I'll splint it just to be on the safe side."
Or "Sprained your ankle? I'm afraid there could be a hairline fracture. Let's put it in plaster to make sure it doesn't get worse." And then putting half his leg in a cast or so.
"No, it would really be best if you don't use that arm for at least a week. I'll bind it to your chest."

You don't have to use these, they're examples, but clearly it's at least dubcon, enabled by the fact Sherlock doesn't like going to hospital, and John only exacerbates this, using it to convince Sherlock (somewhat).
+ at some point John even IVs and catheterizes him.

For Halloween or a case or whatnot, Sherlock and John dress as each other. Sherlock hates the cuddly jumper with a passion and John hates having to wear a suit. The Yarders mostly just laugh at them.

Johnlock Stalkig/Serial Killing Dark!John Dark!Sherlock

I've got a certain love for serial killing partners (a love that follows me through fandoms but always goes back to the Sherlock fandom).

So my idea is that, before John went to Afghanistan, he killed someone and, while he didn't do it again, someone found out. That someone would be Sherlock who saw him commit the murder on a cocaine binge and he starts to become obsessed with the beautiful murder he saw. He begins stalking John, taking pictures, sending letters, and watching him sleep at night. John is freaked out a little but he gets used to it and starts wanting Sherlock when his feelings become more sexual. Sherlock even follows John to war (Discreetly of course) and continues stalking him till he starts sneaking into Johns cot while Johns sleeping.

They begin having sex a lot while his other squad mates sleep around them and this continues until Johns shot. They go back to London and they begin killing regularly together. The police figure there's a pair of serial killers working together and they try to find them.

Would prefer a "happy" ending , but do what you do.

John commits a murder before Afghanistan causing sherlock to see and begin stalking him, even following him to war (discreetly of course). Eventually john is invalided home and they end up being a serial killer couple and making London fall over in fear.

John cheats on Sherlock

There are some attenuating cirumstances, such as Sherlock has been ignoring him for weeks in favour of a case, he was drunk etc. John is naturally disgusted with himself. He doesn't attempt to hide it from Sherlock as that would never work, and he's shoked when Sherlock treats it as par of the course, because he never thought he'd be enough for John. When they first got together Sherlock even suggested an open relationship for this reason, which John declined, so now he just assumes John changed his mind. He only wishes he hadn't gotten his hopes up.

Sherlock being Sherlock and clueless in this area is requesting and expecting that John will explain clinically in scientific data speak and medical terminology as they go along, and John, knowing Sherlock, knows this is what he’s expecting.

So of course John turns the tables on him and instead guides Sherlock with endearments and compliments and hot, sweet, dirty talk that has Sherlock completely turned on and adorably vulnerable, both emotionally and physically, and leaves him realising that sex is a lot more than inserting tab A into slot B, especially when you are in love. And that John is amazing and perfect, in every possible way, for Sherlock.
