GUIDELINES

Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

"You're not a virgin" the man doesn't break his gaze, despite the decades-honed stare that Sherlock gives him.

"That is of no concern."

"You know what will happen."

Sherlock scoffs and waves his hand.

The man's face becomes flushed born from rage "you would condemn someone you proclaim to love to that?"

"I need to see him!"

"Look at a photo, read his blog, remeber him!"

"It's not enough!"

The man shakes his head "he died for nothing. You haven't changed, you care nothing for him"

Sherlock lunges forward and presses John's gun to to the man's head.

The man laughs "kill me, yes. Discrace him in name, in body, in soul. Condemn him. For yourself. All for y-"

Blood and bone. The sound of a bullet, a body crashing to the ground. They merge and become the theme song to Sherlock grabbing the candle.

Sherlock wears the shirt and trousers that John loves best on him.

His hand is steady, his heart full, his words ready as he lights the candle.

He isn't prepared for the screams.

The blood.

The begging.

The pain.

Oh.

Dear.

God.

The pain.

John is not restored to who he was before.

John is curled against himself, screaming, muttering, pleading. Crying out for Sherlock. Crying for it to stop, to please, please stop.

The video's sent were nothing compared to this.

Sherlock tries to touch him. But John flinches. He speaks to John, telling him "it's safe" and "I'm here."

John looks at him and states, between sobs and choked breath; "aren't you tired of pretending to be him? You can't even get it right! he doesn't care for me like that. Told 'em I loved him and he laughed. Laughed about sentiment then went right back to reading his case notes. I thought he was protecting himself, that he didn't think someone could love him. I was wrong. I still love him though. I want him to care, I wish he would, but he won't. His work and his image is too important."

Sherlock finds it impossible to silence his question "why do you stay with him?"

John cries out in pain, his cough sprays blood. "Because I love him. Because the world needs him. He needs someone to be his skull, to keep him on cases. His brother can do it, hell his brother loves him. But sherlock is too absorbed to realize it. The damn wanker has parents and a sibling that adore and protect him, gave him a childhood most would dream of. But he doesn't want anyone to know. He had friends for christsake! But somewhere he decided to build a fantasy, a persona. Even took the drugs to build it. Lies, built upon lies. He won't ever break it. It took so long to build. I really am just a pet. I'd rather be a pet then alone again, always alone. He may not love me, he may use me...but at least he's not my parents or my sister. I do matter to him."

John's words have taken all his strength, he whimpers and closes his eyes. His breathing becomes labored. His body twitches and writhes, his cries and screams become broken and whispered.

Sherlock tries to speak again, to stop the pain and the blood.

It doesn't work.

Sherlock watches as fresh brusies, cuts, burns and blood appear and raise from John. The blood soaks the carpet, slips under Sherlocks feet and legs and buttocks. Johns blood is absorbed by Sherlock's clothing.

John's last words are "please, God I let me die. If I live, I'll be useless to Sherlock. He won't want me, no one ever does."

Sherlock screams as John flickers out with the candle. He screams as the blood disappears. He screams when Mrs. Hudson returns and slams the door open. He screams as Mycroft appears.

Mycroft sees the candle. He frowns "I-" Mycroft slaps Sherlock.

Sherlock is stunned into silence.

"I never knew you were capable of such cruelty. Not an act anymore." Mycroft shakes his head.

Sherlock is taken to his parents. They worry and fuss. They feed Sherlock. They give him books and equip a room with the newest lab equipment avalible.

Sherlock lives. He returns to the flat, takes on the cases. Never touches drugs. Leaves the chases to the police. Informs Lestrade of everything he does and stops insulting Lestrades team.

Sherlock still deduces people, but not out loud.

"He's so different" they say

He is: The screaming never stopped. John brought forth in agony, is stitched into every memory that Sherlock has of him. John's words almost endlessly repeat.

So, Sherlock lives. And solves. And retires. A bullet, an overdose, they would be too easy. He lives for John. He lives because wants to end his life. To stop it all. Yet he won't he doesn't deserve to die. His parents, his brother should not live with such an act.

He finally dies at the age of 102. He is healthy, his mind is clear, he never suffers from the effects of old age or the early abuses to his body. His heart just stops.

Amongst his belongings is the burnt out remains of a candle.

This is so beautiful and heartbreaking!

Could someone explain to me what is going on? I don't remember that movie but I liked the fic.
