Before she met and fell for John Watson, Mary Morstan was involved with Irene Adler. She honestly believed Irene had died that one Christmas, and started tracking Sherlock then; when he, too, seemed to die, she couldn't help but slip into John's life, with the intent of finding mutual comfort over their losses.

When she finds out from Sherlock that Irene is still alive and well, she isn't sure what to do. She loved John very, very dearly, but a part of her still longs for Irene and even if she's not sure Irene ever cared for her at all — they were never exclusive, after all, and Irene had other people she was interested in — she is tempted to find out.

John/Mary and Mary/Irene are a must, but all other pairings involving the four except exclusive Sherlock/Irene would be lovely. (A big old polyamorous four-way relationship that occasionally involves sex or romantic feelings between the Sherlock and Irene wouldn't be bad, though.) I'd ask for no cheating, though; if Mary leaves, she leaves honestly, and if she's going to have them both, they both must know about it.

Okay prompt idea came to me in my dreams (I've been watching way too much Supernatural and Sherlock, if there is such a thing)
What if Sherlock really died at the fall? What if John decided he would do anything to get him back? Even if it meant making a deal with a certain demon, Sherlock for one year of his life (the demons are either not a big fan of Sherlock or John, so he had to sweeten the deal maybe).
Sherlock comes back and of course it doesn't take him too long to figure out what John has done. But as if he's going to let hell hounds drag his friend down to hell.
Bonus points for a bit of BAMF from John and possibly funny crossovers with Dean and Sam if you want :)

I would love to write this, but I am swamped with other fic ideas, so I'll let someone else write it

RFYI's definitely welcome since I lost the fic.

John and Sherlock become literally attached at the hip (Or wherever).

How do they go about their daily lives? Pre Mary or post Mary, doesn't matter to me.

What it says on the tin. Maybe Sherlock got properly stabbed sometime... shot... whatever. But the scars (preferably multiple) hurt when it's cold out and he's just that bit more miserable that tells John something's up.

Sherlock is very sick, but thinks he can get over it with mind over matter. As he progressively gets worse, he continues to deny that he is sick. John notices - and he demands that Sherlock let him take care of him.

So disappointed Winter's Solace hasn't updated. Seconding.

What if John had been the one to walk in on Mary holding Magnussen at gunpoint instead of Sherlock?

Basically, i just want SPD!Sherlock on a case and being attracted to a certain texture/material and being unable to drag himself away from touching/rubbing it, and while Donovan and Anderson are super confused/pissed off (portay them as you like), John's all, 'awww Sherlock you're too sweet.' Lestrade can be grumbling and rolling his eyes in the background if you like. =p

And yeah, do what you like. I just find myself frequently struggling to drag myself away from soft materials or nice smells (of which i imagine i must look mental to other people) and i'd love to see Sherlock in a similar situation.

It started out with small things: a pet found or a business having an upturn or downturn. Then... it began happening /all the time/. Far too much for it to a coincidence. Lestrade begins to get a little bemused by the rumors he's hearing and makes the mistake of mentioning them to Sherlock and John. They don't think much of it at first, until they begin to notice strange details at the crime scenes...

"How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? "

Meanwhile, the Rangers are kinda freaking out about the humans finding out about them (except for Chip, because he's gotten a little distracted fanboying over the whole thing.)

*Season Three spoilers*

I want Jim Moriarty not letting Magnussen pick on John. Sherlock, he knows, can handle himself.

So in TEH, Sherlock and Mary arrive at the fire too late and Sherlock is devastated. Mary leaves because she's so upset that John's dead.

But John isn't dead.

When John was being drugged and kidnapped on the street, Jim Moriarty saw and intervened. Because people get so sentimental about their arch nemesis' pets.

Sherlock is seriously grieving, and that's when Jim's "Did you miss me?" happens. Along with a "Found pet: collect at once" post on the website. Sherlock rushes to the address and finds an unconscious John, bleeding and slightly singed but alive and tied to a chair. And then out steps Moriarty.

Slash is totally amazing between any/all three boys. But I'm down with nonslash.

Sherlock is a sex toy belonging to John. He unexpectedly comes to life.

Crack level 1: Sherlock is a Real Doll who becomes human.
Crack level 2: Sherlock is a Real Doll who comes to life, but is still a doll.
Crack level 3: Sherlock is a dildo or vibrator that becomes human.
Crack level 4: Sherlock is a dildo or vibrator that starts to talk, but remains a toy.

Bonus: John got Sherlock as a (possibly mean-spirited) joke gift from someone else.

I'd like this to be John/Sherlock or John/Sherlock/Mary, or just total gen crack.

Oh god XD level four needs to happen. I can just hear Sherlock criticising John's technique already.

Pre TRF

Due to his increased level of fame, Sherlock and John appear on the Graham Norton Show (or Chatty Man or Wossy or whatever) as guests.

Sherlock is the worst and most annoying talk show guest of all time.

Oh, god, don't you just know Sherlock would do just as well on a chat show as he did as a witness in court? Seconded. Enthusiastically.

Something fluffy and gory based on this quote from Donovan from The Internet Is Not Just For Porn by cyerus on Ao3 :

"Why would he know about decaying body parts? Oh god, you've found yourself a serial killer boyfriend, didn't you? It makes a horrific kind of sense, he'll kill people and bring you bits of them to experiment on. He probably does the shopping too, because he's a provider, then you'll snuggle on the sofa and talk about your day. He'll tell you about all the people he murdered, you'll tell him about the most gruesome crimes you solved, and it will all be horribly, horribly domestic.

Mycroft is indisposed, be it kidnapping, coma, whatever. Sherlock temporarily replaces him as the British Government, which is completely according to protocol. To John's great surprise, Sherlock is actually very serious about it (knows all Mycroft's people, every protocol, running operations, etc), so apparently the government is right to trust Sherlock with this, something John never would've thought before this happened.
The doctor is actually a little intimidated. He never really felt intimidated by Mycroft cos 'he's Sherlock's brother', but when Sherlock himself acts like Mycroft...?

Fem!Mycroft is a lot more biddable than her male alternate. Sherlock able to persuade her to come to John & Mary's wedding. There then ensue Mycroft & Sherlock sibling hijinks during the wedding, capped off with dancing to "Oh What a Night" (because Fem!croft knows how much her little brother loves to dance, and isn't about to let him mope about when he is clearly desperate to join in).

Wrong.

Mycroft is also gay, and in a very healthy/loving relationship with Lestrade. Unlike Sherlock, though, he hasn't told their mother. He knows how badly she wants him to give her grandchildren and how intensely homophobic she is, and he just can't do it.

Somehow, though, she finds out. And totally rips into Mycroft about how much of a disappointment he is and how he isn't her son anymore, etc.

Sherlock, in no uncertain terms, proceeds to tell her that homophobia is not a fear, it is a belief held by close-minded people like herself who cannot accept others happiness because somehow, how they live their life directly effects how they live their own.

Sherlock and John have an argument, Sherlock storms off and goes to the lab at Bart's, get shot by an unknown person and John finds him nearly dead.
Cue John being all bamfy and finding out who shot Sherlock.
I just really need some angst and comfort guys.

This has probably been done somewhere already, so if anyone has a link to a fic that would be awesome.

Mary and John broke it off after the death of their daughter. They still remained close, but their friendship was always slightly strained. And then, after awhile, they just fell out of touch with each other.

Then, all of a sudden, they got back in touch post-TRF. Their friendship resumed and they were due out to dinner when, out of the blue, John stands her up. Concerned for her ex-husband, she goes to 221B Baker Street and finds, much to her surprise...

John and Sherlock in bed together, in a very compromising position.

Cue potential fall-out.
