Dragonborn

As a children, Mycroft used to tell Sherlock stories of magic and stuff. Sherlock used to love the stories, but he was obsessed with the Dragonborn Mycroft told him about.

As he grew up, he would read up on the magic, shouting, and the origins surrounding these stories, and continued to do so into adulthood, even though he grew out of daydreaming about it all.

Then he meets John. Sherlock knows there's something special about him, but he can't quite figure out what.

(tl;dr)Turns out John is a dragonborn, and Sherlock thinks it's awesome.

Up to the author how it's revealed and all that.

OK, so this is the prompt-someone gives or gets this bear (you can make the bear blond if you want)-now for some suggestions-
-Jim gives Bear to John as a taunt
-Jim gives Bear to John as a romantic gesture (an actual loving relationship) perhaps as a reminder of the day they got together as a couple.
-Sherlock gives Bear to John as a romantic gesture perhaps as a reminder of the day they finally got together as a couple.
-Sherlock and/or Jim buys Bear for themselves because John was just so damn cute in that parka and they both just want to cuddle him in bed. Poor clueless John....

John never mentions it nor has it come up in conversation, but he's a genius. Not in medicine or anything to do with the army, but with maths.

He can answer the most difficult maths questions known to man. His skills make themselves known when Moriarty's latest 'game' relies on Maths.

Bonus points: For BAMF-John figuring out the answer's lightning quick whilst Sherlock is left in the dust with the minuscule spec of pride that remains in him.

Super Bonus Points: If Mycroft or Moriarty offer John a job of some degree.

Sherlock has multiple personalities. One of them he knows about. As for the other, one Sebastian Moran, Sherlock’s got no clue he even exists.

Which makes waking up in Jim Moriarty’s bed one morning next to the man himself all the more confusing.

Serious fic preferred. My current theory is that Moran is trying to kill off the Sherlock personality and become the dominant one, but w/e works for you. Obviously Moriarty/Moran would be like getting next year’s Christmas present early...totally wouldn't say no to Sherlock/John either :)

sherlock is wearing his pajama pants, watching tv or something equally mundane, and for some reason, gets an erection.
because he's wearing such thin, loose trousers, it makes the "tent" really obvious. sherlock tries to hide it, but john notices anyways, and helps him take of it (established relationship is preferred!)
basically, i'd like to see descriptions of sherlock's clothed hardness and possible pre-come stains soaking through his pajama bottoms. ... thank god for anon.

So, apparently, Benny boy is going to be the villain in Star Trek 2 (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118048137). So we need a Trek prompt.

But not just any Trek prompt, oh no; a FANBOY Trek prompt. As much as everyone has written John as a Who fan (which is not surprising), I would love to see him as a Trek fan. Maybe not slavishly so, but don't mix up your captains in front of him or he will have to take a bitch DOWN.

So maybe a 5+1: the 5 times John corrected someone about Trek, and the 1 time he was wrong (or Sherlock one-upped him by correcting him, because he somehow didn't delete that bit....and John may have had a hand in making him watch it...)

Mycroft glowered at the rain coming down in rivulets on the thick leaded glass of his grandmother’s home. He would make the argument that his glaring was justified because the weather was once again keeping him from Grandmére’s extensive gardens, but the truth was that, at nearly twelve, he hated everything, especially when it came to staying at his grandmother’s. Mycroft checked the clock; he could get away with at least twenty more minutes of sulking.

Mycroft slightly underestimated his skill and endurance in the realm of being unreasonably miserable, so he spent the final few minutes of his sulk making his way to the library. He wouldn’t admit it openly, lest he would cease to hate everything, but the books were the shining redeeming quality of Grandmére’s. He wasn’t surprised to find Sherlock on the library floor surrounded by open books. That happened often, and it wasn’t an occurrence restricted to libraries or even to socially acceptable venues for such things in general. Mycroft was a bit perplexed, however, to find his little brother also abusing a newspaper, several pages of which were already crumpled. Sherlock’s brow was furrowed in frustration as he chewed on his lower lip, small hands accidentally crumpling another section of newspaper.

“Sherlock,” Mycroft ventured, trying to keep the amusement from his voice, “what are you doing?”

“What does it look like?” Sherlock’s small face twisted into a scowl briefly, but at Mycroft’s reproaching raised eyebrow, quickly softened his expression and rethought his answer. “I’m trying to make a hat. Will you help me, please?”

Mycroft gingerly moved some of the books out of the way, noticing that more than one of them was opened to pictures of oceans and tallships. He took a piece of unfolded newspaper and gestured for Sherlock to follow his movements. “Why do you want a hat?”

“A good pirate needs a hat,” Sherlock said matter-of-factly. “And I,” he paused in order to focus on the newest fold, sticking his small pink tongue between the corner of his lips. “I want to be the best pirate in the world!”

Mycroft laughed softly as he waited for Sherlock to catch up to the next step. “Well, I suppose you’ll be the best at anything you’d like, Sherlock.”

“Not if I don’t have a proper hat, Mycroft.” Nearing the end of assembly, Sherlock’s impatience was being overtaken by excitement. “Haven’t you been listening?”

“Of course,” Mycroft conceded, “I apologize.” He folded the final flaps up and popped his hat into shape. “There we are.”

Sherlock compared the two hats, a crinkle developing between his eyebrows. “You’re the better pirate,” he concluded.

Mycroft examined the puckered creases of the hat Sherlock had made, then swiftly deposited the crisper hat that he himself had made over his little brother’s mess of dark curls. “No, you are. You have the better hat.”

“But—”

“Besides,” Mycroft continued, “I would make a dreadful pirate. I get seasick!”

Sherlock giggled in agreement. Perhaps, Mycroft decided, he didn’t hate everything about staying with Grandmére.

Jim and Sebastian make slow, sensual love for the first time since they've tried everything else (rough fucking, all of the kinks known to man, etc.). Afterwards, all the feelings they've kept locked away for so long start to bleed out into their work, unnoticeable.

I basically just want to see their love for each other destroying the empire Jim has built up. By the time Jim has his final showdown with Sherlock, he's broken.

If Jim doesn't die at the falls and limps home to Sebastian, who is out of his mind with worry, this OP would be a happy one indeed.

This is going to sound like the most bizarre RTYI rec ever, but an early 1900s "AU" is arguably the original Holmes stories by ACD. If you haven't read them, I would highly recommend it. Most of them are even available for free as ebooks, since Holmes is now a public domain character.

John and Sherlock end up as part of a Placebo tribute band (John drums, Sherlock sings) and Sherlock eventually reveals why: Moriarty's got a contact in the band and they're meeting at a certain concert. Things don't go as planned when it turns out Irene and Mycroft are there (coincidentally) too.

Sherlock has always been considered 'strange' and 'a freak'- even by his father, who couldn't handle it, and began to abuse and neglect Sherlock. Only Mycroft knows, which is why he's so protective of his little brother.
Sherlock never told anyone else, and never, ever intended to.

Until, that is, one night when Sherlock hears soft cries coming from John's room. John is in the throes of a nightmare, and keeps saying 'Please, don't hit me again. I'll be good,' and Sherlock remembers uttering the exact same words.

John notices that Sherlock has deleted his treatise on tobacco ash from his blog and is horrified. He feels like an absolute ass for mocking Sherlock for it, realizing how hard he'd worked on the thing and how bad John had to have made him feel about it to make him delete it completely.

I REAAAALLLLYYYY need a cross-over where Sherlock and John meet and have to solve a mystery with Shawn and Gus. Mainly because Shawn and Sherlock are both highly observational but their methods are so different. And you know, YOU KNOW, Shawn would drive Sherlock absolutely fucking nuts and love every minute of it.

And John and Gus can bond over being exasperated sidekicks and their love of comfy jumpers/sweaters.

I love me some Sherlock/John, but GEN is totally fine by me.

SUPER MEGA BONUS POINTS if you add Shawn trolling the fuck out of Sherlock by flirting with John and maybe trying to not-so-secretly steal him away back to the states because come on. Lestrade has a wife.

Fandom says Sherlock detoxed at Lestrade's place. Sherlock also keeps an eye on the couple as evidenced by his knowledge of what Lestrade's wife does.

Thereby, what dose Lestrade's wife think of Sherlock? Does she make nasty comments about the time he detoxed at their apartment? Dose Sherlock not say anything to her specifically in fear of what Lestrade himself will say?
