Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Sherlock and mycroft had another sibling who died in an accident Sherlock is responsible for.

In ASIP Sherlock wasn't moving from Montague street to 221b, he had actually just been released from prison (due to a drugs related charge). Mycroft could have got him released earlier , but didn't.

John and Sherlock were childhood friends but had a falling out at some point (Sherlock stated doing drugs, John went to the army, Mycroft interferes, whatever works). Point being, when John is over in Afghanistan, someone tells him to write a "just in case" letter but he has no one to write to. His parents are dead (or he just had a bad relationship with them) and Harry and he don't get on well.

But then he thinks about it and he's always regretted not reaching out/apologizing to Sherlock and just generally fixing things with him. He doesn't know Sherlock' s address (maybe there's a volunteer service that will track down the recipient of the letter?) But he writes one to Sherlock anyway figuring it makers him feel better now knowing there's someone who'll be told when he dies and it's been like ten years so outs not like Sherlock will probably even care.

The thing is, Sherlock had much the same regrets and had never been able to bring himself to look John up because he's not sure the reception he'll receive.

When John is shot, there's a mistake made somewhere along the line and johns letter is sent to Sherlock before he's dead.

Cue angsty Sherlock thinking he's missed his chance and hating that John had died thinking Sherlock hated him (or, worse, didn't care at all).

Maybe Mycroft doesn't know what's going on because it's a letter not some digital form of commutation he can tap into. And he (also) is under the impression that Sherlock hates/ doesn't care about John so he doesn't bother finding out about his (not) death.

TLDR: John and Sherlock had a fight before he went to Afghanistan. John writes a "just in case" letter to Sherlock that is sent out accidentally when John is shot years later (and not dead).

Happy Johnlock ending preferred with a good dose of angst all around please :D

One of John's old friends from before Sherlock runs into John one day and they catch up. As you do, they start hanging out etc and John really hopes his friend and Sherlock can also become friends too. Sherlock unwillingly spends some time with this person for John's sake but even John can't ignore how uncomfortable Sherlock is. The truth is that John's old friend had once forced himself on Sherlock. It was when Sherlock was much much younger, perhaps in uni and much alcohol was involved. Maybe he doesn't remember Sherlock at all, but Sherlock will never forget.

Sherlock doesn't explain his behaviour and would rather John believe he's rude than break John's memory of his friend.

i noticed that description for Johnlock's characters and Glee's Klaine's intersect much. Sherlock and Kurt are both tall, pale, gorgeous with green-grey-blue eyes and alien/elfish features, bitchy, drama queen, aloof and sarcastic; john and blaine are short/compact muscles, warm eyes and approachable, friendly and likeable and every other sweet sugary adjective you can think of. except the hairs, they are totally opposites :)

please write them as uni students, where sherlock being sherlock and kurt being kurt, they are the only ones who could stand each other and therefore have been friends/roommates since first years. john and blaine have the same social circles and are interested in them but assume they like the other one (since the description is the same) and tried to approach sherlock/kurt to pair them with blaine/john which create misunderstandings and sexual tensions.
happy ending with johnlock and klaine please.

Like Emilia Ricoletti, Moriarty ensured that his death would count. He has a cause, but it's not random thrill-seeking criminality - it's very specifically focused. Like the Brides, Moriarty's network consists of vigilantes seeking justice for wrongs against a marginalized group: gender and sexual minorities. The cases he's taken so far were, in fact, motivated by this cause: some transparently (Connie Prince; Carl Powers the homophobe?), and others in ways yet to be revealed.

The next step is to go above-ground and get powerful people to realize that the larger battle for full empowerment needs to be won. Sherlock's fall was designed to force the issue between him and John. When they acknowledge what's between them, and Sherlock deduces the scheme, Moriarty will have the Holmes brothers - among Britain's cleverest and most powerful people - behind the cause, and victory is all but guaranteed.

tl;dr Moriarty has a queer empowerment agenda and a giant queer conspiracy network and the final problem was to recruit Sherlock & co to win the war for him.

Some spare thoughts, take or leave:
This is actually borne of a half-baked wish-theory on what Moftiss have planned next, and it could almost be a crack meta request instead of fic. That is, I love it because it could almost fit in canon (and because JUSTICE). But obviously there are some tricky parts to it, so as always, feel free to discard bits of canon (not sure how you'd tie in the smugglers in Blind Banker, but I don't much care either) or retcon them as needed (Sherlock dismantling the network for two years - or was he even dismantling it?!?). I used present tense in the prompt, but Moriarty actually-dead-or-not is a bit irrelevant. Hopefully he at least features in flashbacks, because I love him. Sherlock deducing his agenda could be either a motivator for or consequence of getting together with John, and their relationship could be either the main or the side plot. The happy ending kind of (but optionally) hinges on Mycroft being a fierce Ally, because of all people it SHOULD be Mark Gatiss's character, and wouldn't he love it, and don't I love him, too. And anyway, if theories about the show's agenda re: representation are substantiated, then it becomes (I hope) a fun, heart-warming mirror for this revolutionary show.

My kingdom for a fic where Sherlock and John are in a dominant/submissive relationship (or just engage in d/s play) that has absolutely nothing to do with pain. At all. Because d/s and s/m don't have to be synonymous.

As an alternative to the above prompt, I'd also love to see Sherlock/John dominant/submissive fic where the dominant partner is the one who's a masochist.

Pre-canon. Sherlock recorded ASMR or other types of sleeping aides videos and posted them online when he feels bored. In those videos he would read stuff like scientific reports and never showed his own face. John accidentally found his videos and they helped a lot with his sleeping problems after Afghanistan. Then one day, John decided to write an thank-you email/John bumped into Sherlock/John was introduced to Sherlock whose voice is exactly the same as the one that brought him to sleep every night...

it all gets to much for lestrade, feeling overworked, friendless and so very lonely, but when he gets assaulted (physically or sexually) and hits rock bottom- until sherlock and john step in to show him he has got friends, and maybe with mycroft something more. take it away.....

John is one of Moriarty's brothers. He knew for a while about Jim's extracurricular activities and hated them. He wanted to distance himself as far as possible, so he set up a new identity for himself and cut all contact with Jim. When he met Sherlock, he saw working with him to solve crimes as a way to atone for his brother's crimes. He never told Sherlock because he was sure Sherlock would hate him if he ever found out. Of course, the past can never stay hidden. Good news? Sherlock doesn't hate John. Bad news? Jim may or may not be willing to hurt his brother (up to potential filler), but Sherlock having John's loyalty only fuels Jim's obsession with the Detective.

Sherlock isn't Mycroft's brother. He's his science experiment. When Mycroft was younger, he decided to win the science fair by cloning a human being. He succeeded before his parents found out what he was doing Of course, the Holmes's were horrified and wouldn't let Mycroft publicize his work. Mycroft, just a child at the time, didn't realize what the big deal was. He just knew he wouldn't be able to be rewarded for his hard work. The Holmes raised Sherlock as their son, but of course Sherlock found out and resented his brother for the rather unconventional way that Sherlock was born. As Mycroft grew older, he realized the gravity of what he had done and tried to take responsibility for his actions by protecting the man he had grown to see as a cross between a brother and a son.

Tragedy could do so much to a man.
Greg is a family man even when they are far from him. one day he lost them. so he poured his grief to his work.

He's snappish to everyone. barely eats or sleeps or goes home.
sherlock has to handcuff him to his car so he won't chase after a criminal they we on to.
John manhandles him out of his office after a faint and feels how much weight he's lost.
Mycroft doing something irritating like visiting his office and using that damn umbrella to tap his hand when he reached for a case file.

Holmes brothers deduction and breaking the "caring is not an advantage" thing

Title says it. Literally don't care what else you do with it; could be crack, could lead to a heart-wrenching confession.

John casually references some urban myth that Sherlock's never heard of, and he interrogates him out of curiosity. It turns out Sherlock's never heard of a lot of urban myths, nor seen MythBusters. And when he watches the show, he notices (as many have) that the science is crap. So he sets out to test for himself the myths that interest him. Hilarity ensues. May or may not include YouTube documentation of these exploits.

John needs to access Sherlock's online bank account for some reason. All of the selected security questions are about "your spouse". All of the answers are about John. Cue (angsty? fluffy?) plot development.

Some bigwig in the police system comes down to Scotland Yard for some reason.
Maybe head of Interpol or something.
Anyway the tough no-nonsense women with her guard dogs and bodyguards (because she actually is good at her job and someone constantly tries to asassinate her, may be used for comedy)
starts cooing over her cute little godson.

The following is my addition to the prompt.

The yard finds out that the rest of Sherlock's family is also full of high iq geniuses with importabt jobs.

Bonus if the family is protective of him because he is the youngest child.

After Sherlock's death the family doesn't let things lie.
I'd like for them to very publicly come out of the woodwork to everyones shock and make life of the people hell who hurt one of their own.
For example sueing the Sun and Kitty Reilly for libel with the best lawyers in the country being Holmes.
Or showing up at the inquest into Sherlock to testify and when they give their occupations it becomes clear to everyone "Fuck! They own England!/The World"

The follwing is my addition.

The yard finds out Sherlock was actually MI6 agent who solved cases as a past time.

Bonus mummy holmes is M and is extremely protective of her children both of whom are Mama's boys.

In ACD canon, there's a short, "The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb". The client is a hydraulic engineer, who is hired by a mysterious German man to consult on his faulty hydraulic press. I would love to see this reimagined featuring the crazy Finn and his cackling wife of YouTube fame. Some variation of "extremely dangerous / may attack at any time / ve must deal vith it" would of course be obligatory.

John had always tried to guess Sherlock's upbringing in an effort to understand his strange lover, so when he finally met Sherlock's parents, it was a shock how normal, friendly and...warm they are, in comparison to their sons. So why did Mycroft and Sherlock turn out that way, since they were brought up in a relaxed and loving environment.

The question keeps racing round John's brain, and against his better judgement John starts secretly delving into Sherlock's past. But like everything with Sherlock, nothing is straightforward or can be taken at face value, because as Sherlock himself states: Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

John is about to discover how true that is.

JohnLock would be awesome and adored. Mycroft/Lestrade is also welcome if desired. Hurt!Sherlock would also be perfect

After their parents died, Alpha or Dom Mycroft was appointed Sherlock's legal guardian, which he still remains despite Sherlock being in his 30s.

Mycroft has ultimate control of Sherlock's finances and also his medical needs. After his brother's past with drug addition, and his tendency of self neglect when bored or absorbed in work (not eating, sleeping etc) Mycroft feels Sherlock needs this.

For the most part, Sherlock accepts this as long as Mycroft doesn't interfere with his consulting.

But Mycroft worries constantly. He wants someone else he can rely on to look after Sherlock. Someone who can always be at Sherlock's side, take care of him, even override his decisions at times, if need be.

The best way to achieve this is for Sherlock to be married. It should be simple. Sherlock is a Sub (or Omega) who comes from a highly respect and wealthy family. He's attractive and brilliant but Sherlock somehow broke the mould. He has a well deserved reputation for being willful, stubborn and almost impossible to control. His facination in crime solving also isn't very appealing to most potential husbands.

Most potential husbands Mycroft has questioned haven't been willing to take on Sherlock. So only...certain candidates remain: Charles Augustus Magnussen, Sebastian Moran and James Moriarty. None of whom Mycroft can be sure have Sherlock's best interests at heart, but time is running out and odds are one will become Sherlock's husband.

That is until a certain Dr John Watson, freshly discharged from the army appears. He's a Dom (or Alpha) who breaks the mould almost as much as Sherlock, and seems to both understand Sherlock and earn his respect in a way few do. John could be the ideal soluation but some of Sherlock's suitors aren't about to give up the chance of hacing Sherlock for themselves

Ever since Sherlock's 'return from the dead', John has never been quite the same with Sherlock. Sure it looks like they are still BFFs but Sherlock knows different. John does not fully trust him any more and as much as Sherlock wants to deny it, that hurts.

Sherlock has tried in his own way to make amends, including pushing his own feelings for John away so John and Mary can be happy, but the mistrust, and even a touch of resentment lingers. So Sherlock slowly, carefully stops trying to be so 'Sherlock-y', but even so, he still seems to annoy people.

When Sherlock meets Magnussen, a man he despises more than even Moriarty, Magnussen is able to exploit a rarely found weakness in Sherlock. He blackmails Sherlock into regular sex sessions (usually at Appledore) in order to leave John alone - and not expose Mary's past, because John deserves happiness. Sherlock tries to convince himself it is worth it, that sex doesn't bother him, that Magnussen's touch, and worse, his kisses doesn't repulse and terrify him, and it really doesn't matter that Sherlock has lost his virginity Magnussen, and Sherlock can endure the pain of Magnussen's touch.

But Sherlock should know no secret can be held forever, not when you have a brother who is the British Government, makes it his business to inform a certain former army doctor.

It turns out John takes a *very* different view to Sherlock over this blackmail...

Don't think i've ever seen one of these before. Coffeeshop AU angsty version - John has PTSD and regularly comes into the coffee shop where Sherlock, who has a worsening drug problem, works.

Very interesting promp. Hope someone will fill it.
