Prompting Part XXXVII

This is the new prompting post for the Sherlock Prompting Meme. Prompts from LJ can still be filled there with links here or filled here in the new overflow post.

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Your mods for this meme are [ profile] ellie_hell, [ profile] charname, [ profile] anonspock and [ profile] anonbach. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to contact us via the Page-A-Mod post.

Johnlock. The ultimate fix-it.....Time travel

(Anonymous) 2017-01-20 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock dies. Filler picks the setting...or timeline (maybe Sherlock did die in the fall, maybe he did overdose on the plane, or killed himself in euro's cell.) Point is...he dies. John completely loses it and blacks out.

Only to wake up when it all started....The day he met Sherlock. John retains all of his memories and sets out to fix things.

tl;dr: john's love for Sherlock is so strong it tears apart a hole in the space-time continuum.

Sherlock is John's urinal

(Anonymous) 2017-01-20 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
After Mary died, John didn't want anything to do with Sherlock, but after seeing what a mess he was in the boot of Mrs. Hudson's car, John agreed to live with him again, on the condition Sherlock acts as his urinal. Desperate to have John's attention once more, Sherlock agrees.

Anytime John needs to go, Sherlock is to offer up his ass. When they are at the flat, Sherlock is supposed to wait in the bathroom for him. When John is done, he plugs Sherlock up to keep everything inside.

Pretend the stuff with Culverton didn't happen, John's Mary hallucinations are optional.

Mycroft/Lestrade - Take care of him

(Anonymous) 2017-01-21 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Mycroft & Lestrade did get together during Sherlock's 'death'. Things didn't work out and they broke up.

After what happened in Sherrinforld, Sherlock decides he wants to see his brother happy and encourages them to try again.

JohnLock Eurus, Moriarty underestimate John

(Anonymous) 2017-01-21 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Why are people like Eurus and Moriarty so obsessed with Sherlock, after all he isn't the 'most intelligent' of the Holmes, what is it about him?

John isn't sure, and frankly doesn't care. Sherlock may be frustrating but John is tired of evil geniuses playing games with Sherlock for nothing more than shits and giggles.

The problem with people like Eurus and Moriarty is they are so wrapped up in their own brilliance, their own mind, that they dismiss and ignore 'normal' people, like John. But it's always a fatal mistake to under-estimate John Watson, especially when it comes to protecting his Sherlock...

Est JohnLock, BAMF!John please.

Yes. Tired of John being reduced to a damsel and dumbed down. +1

Sherriford/Q helps with Eurus JohnLock

(Anonymous) 2017-01-21 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherrinford is the elusive third Holmes brother, and, unfortunately, Eurus's twin.

When Eurus becomes a problem, Sherlock and Mycroft know Sherrinford might be their only hope. He is nothing like Eurus, but he is also the only one who can see right through her and is the only sibling who Sherlock actually listens to. John is half curious, half dreading the latest Holmes, but if it stops the horror that is Eurus from hurting the man John loves, John will take a whole pack of Holmes.

What Mycroft left out was Sherriford also happens to be Q of MI-5 and possibly the most dangerous man in Britain - when he's not tripping over his own feet or pining after a certain infamous OO agent...

JohnLock, 00Q and Mystrade all very welcome

JohnLock Sherlock's personality is to keep people safe from Eurus

(Anonymous) 2017-01-21 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
When John discovers the truth about Eurus, it also unravels another secret. Sherlock isn't a sociopath, a lot of his overly dispassionate, 'anti social' attitude is front, a carefully constructed persona, because of Eurus.

Sherlock has deliberately constructed his persona to keep people away, after all who could put up with someone like Sherlock? And if people stay away, they are safe, safe from Eurus, and no one will have to die like Victor again.

Sherlock *knew* unless he found a way to keep everyone away from him, to reject everyone that Eurus would find some way to break them, after all she doesn't like sharing Sherlock, and Sherlock learnt his lesson very well. Lestrade, Mrs Hudson, Molly,'s all a balancing act, Sherlock knows if he has one slip, shows any sentiment, they would be next.

Unfortunately John doesn't care. He loves Sherlock, no matter what and thinks it's about time someone makes it *very* clear to Miss Holmes that Sherlock is not hers, and Sherlock that he doesn't have to be alone any more.

JohnLock please. Mystrade welcome.

Note: I don't mean for Sherlock to suddenly become really OOC and sweet but that at least part of his less desirable traits are amped up or made up so people will reject him and therefore stay safe. He's still Sherlock but his real self is a bit less OTT

Very believable. Seconded.

Mycroft/Uncle Rudi - At what cost...

(Anonymous) 2017-01-22 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Mycroft was so lonely and isolated, he responded to anyone who paid him attention so when Uncle Rudi took an interest in him he was absolutely delighted. He wasn't so keen when Uncle Rudi would come into his room at night, but if that's what he had to do...

Give me a Mycroft with serious issues. If someone finds out about all this and is appalled while he is oblivious to what was wrong, go for it!

Re: Mycroft/Uncle Rudi - At what cost...

(Anonymous) 2017-01-22 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, please, all of this. I need something with Uncle Rudi messing with Mycroft's head.

Mycroft's Breakdown

Sherlock has sex with Irene and doesn't enjoy it

(Anonymous) 2017-01-23 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
Inspired by a post on tumblr. In "The Lying Detective" John tells Sherlock that a romantic entanglement will complete him as a human being. Sherlock has always considered John to be his moral compass, so he does exactly what John has told him to do. He texts Irene and arranges "a night of passion in High Wycombe". Irene is amused and most eager to oblige, but it doesn't go well. Sherlock is asexual or not-so-secretly pining for John. He doesn't really want it, he doesn't enjoy it, and it makes him feel rotten because from John's point of view he's "incomplete" and abnormal.

TW: non-con. Mycroft reprograms John to be gay

(Anonymous) 2017-01-23 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Mycroft is fed up with John constantly saying, "I'm not gay" and "We're not a couple." Mycroft cares about his brother, in his own creepy way, and because Sherlock is so obviously attached to John, John's behaviour won't do. Mycroft kidnaps John and reprograms him, through brainwashing and lots of non-con, so that John would enjoy gay sex. Now John is a well-trained slut. He can't live without anal sex and sucking cocks. He might be still unwilling, but he can't do without it.

Re: TW: non-con. Mycroft reprograms John to be gay

(Anonymous) 2017-01-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
I keep thinking about this. Then the idea struck me, what if John wasn't just being reprogramed to be gay, but specifically gay for Sherlock. Like Mycroft could hire people that look like Sherlock to break him in and get Sherlock's clothes so John would react to his scent and use recordings of Sherlock to further their brainwashing. They could get into John's head and fill it with nothing but a desire to be fucked by *Sherlock*.

Just a thought.

Johnlock. Virgin!sherlock tries to have sex with someone (not John), but can't get it up.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-23 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
After reading the prompt above about Sherlock having sex with Irene and not enjoying it, this one kind of poped into my head. Would love to read something as follows:

Sherlock is sick of waiting for John. The advice john had given him about Irene was just another punch Sherlock believed he deserved. He wants to move on...desperately so, and so he tries....(doesn't matter to me with whom)

But yeah....things don't really work the way he wanted to, literally.

The more embarrassing and humiliating the better.

After, John realizes something has happened...and the rest is up to the filler.

Protective!Lestrade pays John a visit and lets him know how he feels about him beating Sherlock

(Anonymous) 2017-01-23 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm still pissed about the whole beating scene. Sherlock was in such a terrible mental and physical state and John still proceeded to beat him to a pulp (fucking mofftiss). So I just want a character to be as angry as I am on Sherlock's behalf. Hence this prompt.

After Culverton's confession Greg pays Sherlock a visit to check if he's alright and to thank him for catching the serial killer. But then sees his face, and is properly horrified. Sherlock dismisses the whole thing as no big deal because obviously he thinks he deserved it. But see, Greg doesn't fucking thinks so, thank you very much.

So he pays John a visit. And proceeds to punch him right in the face. Imagine the force of the entire Johnlock fandom behind that punch if you need to visualized how furious Greg is.

Re: Protective!Lestrade pays John a visit and lets him know how he feels about him beating Sherlock

(Anonymous) 2017-03-15 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Greg jogged the familiar, seventeen-step jog to the upper flat at 221 Baker Street. Greg was relieved to know that Sherlock’s apparent relapse ought to be finally over, since John had said it was all to get admitted to Smith's hospital and catch him. Greg rapped smartly on the door to 221B’s living room and waited, expecting to be greeted with an unkempt-but-intact Sherlock.

The door opened, and Lestrade found himself going still as he stared.

Sherlock’s scruffy, ginger-y beard did nothing to hide the bruise his face his become. His nose seemed swollen - Sherlock was breathing through his split-lipped mouth. One eye was a dark purple and swollen shut.

“Go on, Lestrade,” he sighed, voice nasally. “Do you need something from me?”

“You - You never gave a statement. I hate to bother you when you’re sobering up, but I - have to. Sherlock - John just said he hit you hard, not that he beat the shit out of you!” Lestrade hissed. Sherlock started to roll his eyes, but abandoned the motion when it pulled at his black and swollen eye.

“It’s hardly beating the shit out of me, Graham.” This time Greg saw through it - designed to piss him off, push him away.

“Then what do you call it?” Greg snapped.

“Are you actually here for anything?”

“To thank you and to get your statement! And here can be part of your statement - if he didn’t beat the shit out of you, what would you say he did?”

“Exact justice.” Sherlock’s voice was strange. Confrontational and tired all at once. “You’ll hear all about it in the statement. Do you want it or not?”

Greg silently nodded and Sherlock opened the door wider to let him into the flat properly.

John scrubbed a tired hand over his face as he finally gently closed Rosie’s door behind him, baby monitor in hand. He couldn’t believe how tired he was, although he shouldn’t be surprised after being fucking manipulated into yet another case. He couldn’t deny it had felt kind of good, though, to be running around and to have been an integral part of Sherlock’s plans, even with a hallucination dogging his every step. He froze when there was a harsh knock at the door, and he hurried to answer it before it could wake Rosie.

John didn’t even get time to identify his guest before a fist connected hard with John’s face. He was too dazed to take inventory of whether it had merely bruised or if it had broken anything. Blinking hard from his new position on the floor, he looked up at the guest. A coldness ran through him. He was pretty sure he had seen that look on Greg’s face before, but always aimed at suspects, at people across an interrogation room. Never directed directly at him. He tried to speak, to say anything, but a jolt of pain made him realize, quite suddenly, that he was fairly certain his jaw was broken.

“I used to think you were good for him. That you’d make him the good man we talked about,” Greg said, voice chillingly level. “And I didn’t blame you for finding Mary, though I thought you were going a bit overboard, making him your best man. But it’s not like you were cutting him out of your life, so I couldn’t find anything to say. And then he got shot, and it was her - Mycroft told me it was her, told me that Sherlock wasn’t planning to press charges for some godforsaken reason. Now forgive me if I’m a bit fuzzy on the bits between that and the Thatcher case - it’s not as though anybody sees fit to keep me in the goddamn loop! He did as well as could be expected, with Moriarty supposedly out there, with you having a baby and cementing the idea that he wasn’t family to you. And at the end of it all, I thought you were entitled to your grief. Maybe I’m just as culpable in this for thinking you didn’t really mean it when you said ‘you did this’, that you’d snap out of it. But the look on his face, John - he watched the love of his life lose the love of theirs and then blame him for it. What the hell did you think, John, that he shot her?”

John’s eyes flashed and he tried to clench his jaw. A soft grunt of pain emerged instead.

Lestrade stood stock still, staring in disbelief. “And you never thought to ask us? We were there the whole bloody time, John! More of it than you were, at least! He didn’t shoot her! He didn’t even do anything unusual! He was deducing the way he always does, but it was the worst version - the compulsive one, where he couldn’t stop even if he knew it might be dangerous for him. Mary warned him, and I think he heard it, but he couldn’t stop! He had to get it all out! So that batty old woman - she almost went quietly - but then she pulled her gun out. Do you want to know what Sherlock said to me, when he gave his statement?” Lestrade hissed, stepping over the threshold, leaning down into his personal space. “He said ‘Don’t look like that, Lestrade. I miscalculated. After what happened at Magnussen’s office, and the hospital, and the empty houses, I estimated that she didn’t care whether I lived or died. I even suspected she preferred me dead’.” Some part of John could fill in hesitations where Lestrade left none in his retelling, that Sherlock would say it all haltingly, as though ashamed of having been wrong, scared of being wrong again. “He said, ‘I never thought she cared about me enough to help me live, so I didn’t think it would be necessary to brace myself so I couldn’t be pushed. If I’d known, I would’ve braced myself. I would’ve kept my vow’.

“The pain you put him through....Blaming him for the death of someone he cared about, if only because he cared about you. Removing yourself from his life. Taking Rosie out of his life. Letting him lose his closest family in one fell swoop and not even having the decency to tell him to his face?!” Lestrade shouted. “Be glad I only broke your jaw, John Watson. I could’ve done so much more. I should’ve done so much more. Remember this, the next time you ever think about blaming Sherlock for something he didn’t do. Remember he has people who actually care about him.”

And without another word, Lestrade turned around, and walked away.

Missing scene - Sherlock and John traveling - pre-slash johnlock

(Anonymous) 2017-01-24 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
We saw Mary go on the run only to find that Sherlock and John can catch up to her no problem, but we didn't see John and Sherlock traveling together. There is a decent window of time for them to have been doing that.

I want to see the two of them arguing about what to pack and what route to take and bumbling their way through interactions with a different culture. Show me them trying new foods and getting lost and dealing with awkward sleeping arrangements.

Dinosaur murder case

(Anonymous) 2017-01-24 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to see a case where Sherlock claims a victim was killed by a dinosaur. Everyone is reluctant to believe him but Sherlock knows the bite marks match!

Inspired by an episode of Psych

The episode might be good reference, but you should add a more Sherlockian twist to the case!

John thinks Sherlock is a cat

(Anonymous) 2017-01-25 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
After a traumatic event for John, maybe Reichenbach, as a coping mechanism John rewrites all his memories so that Sherlock was a cat, similar to how Sherlock remembered Redbeard. Even after meeting a fully human Sherlock is he reluctant to believe his Sherlock was anything other than a cat.

Sherlock & Mycroft - I've got you

John/Sherlock (unresolved?) post TFP. John thinks it's best to leave. Drugs, Angst.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-27 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Some time after TFP John confronts Sherlock, pointing out that, essentially, he's Victor's replacement and their entire friendship (a relationship already unhealthy and quite problematic) is based on that fact. And isn't it time to let that poor little boy finally rest in peace, instead of seeing his ghost in John? Sherlock, being bad with emotions and still a bit confused after the whole ordeal, fails to address the matter. For John it's an answer on itself, so he leaves.

Sherlock is absolutely heartbroken. And just like every other time John's left, drugs and despair are just round the corner.

Maybe they manage to find their way back to each other without sweeping problems under a carpet this time. It's up to a filler, though I would prefer a good ending. EITHER WAY, all I want is John being happy in the end. All I want is to see the person we were not allowed to see in s4, not a useless dog or anybody's appendage or a ghost of someone long gone. I'd love him to come back to himself in the first place, and only then to Sherlock, if he chooses to. Maybe he comes to visit Sherlock in a rehab centre, and Sherlock just clings to him and doesn't want to let go. Ever. IDK...

Mycroft isn't well

(Anonymous) 2017-01-27 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Mycroft is ridiculously unwell...the sort of unwell where you really should be in hospital...but this is Mycroft so he's not about to let a little thing like feeling awful get in the way of his work.

Then he collapses.

Omega Sherlock can think around John

(Anonymous) 2017-01-27 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock goes into heat and is absolutely miserable. He hates the way it makes him crave sex, the way it prevents him from going out, and above all he hates the way he can't think. Right from the moment the heat starts drawing near his mind gets unbearably fuzzy.

Then, just before his heat sets in, he catches the scent of something that clears his mind. It's John.

non-con male lactation

(Anonymous) 2017-01-29 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock experiments on John, secretly dosing him with something to make him lactate. John is disturbed by how tender his chest is, made worse by Sherlock touching it and how it seems to be swelling up a bit. He tries to hide it from Sherlock once milk starts coming out, but he produces so much that it proves impossible to hide.

Bonus points for John having a crisis of masculinity due to this whole thing

Mycroft and his OCD

(Anonymous) 2017-01-29 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock wasn't being glib when he described Mycroft as OCD. Mycroft does have OCD, very carefully managed and controlled OCD...except, since Sherinford he's been having difficulty. Anthea eventually calls on Greg (or Sherlock) for help.
