Prompting Part XXXVII

This is the new prompting post for the Sherlock Prompting Meme. Prompts from LJ can still be filled there with links here or filled here in the new overflow post.

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Your mods for this meme are [ profile] ellie_hell, [ profile] charname, [ profile] anonspock and [ profile] anonbach. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to contact us via the Page-A-Mod post.

Greg/Mycroft, CAM/Mycroft. Rape. Abuse. BAMF Greg.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-20 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Charles blackmails Mycroft into a forced and degrading relationship, because it would be Sherlock instead of Mycroft otherwise.

Before it happened, Mycroft had something developing with Greg (maybe Mycroft was unsure, but Greg was interesting enough and wasn't giving up after initial rejection), but now things are getting worse and worse between them. Mycroft hardly ever answers when Greg rings him. If they see each other, Mycroft maintains distance between them and is quite withdrawn. Maybe he tries to end whatever was developing between the two, and Greg is confused, thinking he's done something wrong, probably was too persistent, etc. He wants to know what's going on and to fix everything. Mycroft, however, continues avoiding him, secretly pining for him at the same time.

And then Greg somehow learns what really is going on and puts an end to it. How exactly he does it is up to you.

Jim From IT/John, John/Sherlock endgame. The adventures of Jim from IT. Jealousy.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-20 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Am I the only one who thinks Jim from IT is adorable and amazing and doesn't get nearly enough attention he deserves from the fandom?

Jim from IT probably had a sad childhood and does have some issues, but he's not a psychopath, he's just, well... Jim from IT, a sweet, lonely thing.

He doesn't have heart to tell Molly that, no, they aren't dating, it was just her jumping to conclusions, because he's been nice to her. He is, however, intrigued by Sherlock, and it's quite clear to him that Sherlock is possibly gay, too. When he meets Sherlock, though (like he does in the series), he's disappointed, because Sherlock is a rude, derisive arse. Jim doesn't like him at all and feels stupid for offering his phone number. John, on the other hand, is so nice, strong and polite! And it's not just women who love a soldier!

Somehow, Jim and John get in touch and end up going on a date together. John is bi-curious and Jim doesn't mind. They start dating and having sex. John is rather experienced with women, but sex is sex, and he's good at it, so he's good with Jim, too.

Sherlock is devastated. It becomes clear to him that John and he could've been together, but Sherlock has made it clear more than once that he's married to his work, and now John is dating another man! As if those fucking girlfriends weren't bad enough. And maybe he's just as nasty to Jim as he normally is to John's GFs, and John isn't amused.

I'd love a happy ending with John and Sherlock getting together. I prefer an amicable breakup between Jim and John. Jim is a sad, lonely gay baby again, but maybe the new head of security/neighbour Sebastian makes advances towards him, and Jim is smitten and happy again.

Please, please, only top!John! John being, more or less, in charge of his relationships is the only dynamics I care about.

Bonus if John is unsure of how to court a man at first and brings flowers on one of his first dates with Jim. Jim is absolutely delighted.

Dom/Sub Verse. Dom!John, Sub!Sherlock, Sub!Jim Moriarty. Dub-Con. Stockholm Syndrome. Forced Bond(?)

(Anonymous) 2017-03-21 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Jim absolutely hates the fact that he was born a sub. He manages to build his criminal empire, ignoring his sub needs, which actually makes him suffer and aggravates his mental health problems. He even manages to make many doms serve him (not sexually, but hierarchically, because becoming intimate with a dom could very well be Jim's downfall).

John studies him carefully when he gets kidnapped and the bomb gets strapped to him. And then, one day, he decides that Moriarty has to be stopped before Sherlock is destroyed. He uses his natural dominance that was wonderfully refined in the army and makes Jim submit to him. I imagine he has to kidnap and imprison Jim somewhere for that.

Jim fights his own nature and John's dominance with everything he has, but John does break him, eventually, with both punishments and rewards. Serious work is done to achieve it. Jim gives up and it causes his empire to collapse. Sherlock is safe, too, because hurting Sherlock would hurt John, which in turn would badly hurt Jim, as some sort of bonds are formed. Jim is actually terrified that John might leave him. An abandoned sub is a seriously unwell sub, both mentally and physically.

Bonus if John doms the hell out of both Jim and Sherlock (it's probably not forced between John and Sherlock, unlike with Jim), though it's best if they don't all live together under the same roof and John mostly spends time with them separately. Maybe he makes them meet when he wants to test them and their obedience.

The whole thing does have a positive result for everyone involved. Jim and Sherlock are healthier somehow (unless they are jealous and afraid that John will leave) and the crime rates are much lower now.

Series AU, Mary is Sherlock's flatmate, John/Mary

(Anonymous) 2017-03-22 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Instead of John being invalidated from Afghanistan, it's Mary who needs a better way to hide. What better way than a man that more eccentric than she is.

Everything else still happens, and after Sherlock's fall, Mary meets John while trying to research Moriarty's operations and find her stupid flatmate.

At least John/Mary please, with no turning Mary evil. Johnlockary at the end, maybe?

John and Sherlock wake up in an Alternate reality

John and Sherlock wake up in an alternate reality where they got married at some point. They pretend to be their married selves until they can figure out what is going on. They are a little surprised at how easy it is.

Falconry + Fantasy au

(Anonymous) 2017-03-26 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock is a young Medieval Prince, disinterested in the usual pastimes of his class. His brother, the king, insists he spend at least some time doing something befitting of his station or he will be cut off, so Sherlock takes up falconry.

Sherlock visits a breeder well known for his intelligent and loyal birds. Against the breeder's advice, He picks out an aging Gyrfalcon that while uninjured, cannot fly. The bird proves to be more intelligent than Sherlock ever suspected.

The bird is not a bird, but rather John Watson. Trapped and certain he'd end his life rotting away as a bird, John finds new hope by Sherlock's side.

Punishing Mycroft TW: non-con spanking.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-27 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock decides that Mycroft must be spanked hard as a punishment for lying to him about Eurus. So He gets John and Lestrade to help him. The next time Mycroft comes over they're ready for him and proceed to overpower him and lay him, struggling and indignant on Sherlocks bed,on his stomach, yank down his trousers and underwear and spank his bare bottom, one holding his arms one his legs and one doing the spanking starting with hand, then a brush or paddle, then a carpetbeater etc. until his bottom is bruised and red and he is crying his eyes out. They all speak gently to him saying it will be over soon, but he has to be punished for his own sake as well. Lots of aftercare preferred, hugs and cuddles.

Repost - Blind Banker AU

(Anonymous) 2017-03-31 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
original prompt -

When John gets kidnapped by the Black Lotus, instead of Sarah, Sherlock gets kidnapped with him. Shan still thinks John is Sherlock Holmes, however. So, she puts Sherlock in front of the spear/arrow thing and threatens John to make him tell her where the hairpin is. Sherlock, unable to protest, can't help John out with this one. John is panicky, freaked!

What happens? Does Sarah save them? Does Mycroft? Does Moriarty put a stop to it at the last moment to protect his playmate?

tl;dr John and Sherlock are kidnapped instead of John and Sarah and it's stressful tiems!

johnlock - non-con cuddling

(Anonymous) 2017-04-02 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock and John are held captive and forced to cuddle several times a day for long periods of time. They aren't comfortable (at first) with the forced contact, and are unsure of their captor's motives, only that it is part of some bigger experiment.
Go where you want with this from here.

Mycroft is Stubborn (and not very well)

(Anonymous) 2017-04-02 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Mycroft has Crohn's (or ulcerative colitis). Since Sherrinford, he's been struggling with a very painful and embarrassing flare up of his symptoms. He's not coping at all well, but for once Sherlock cares and wants to help.

Stubborn Mycroft obviously needing help with a caring Sherlock trying to help.

Mary/John, Mary/Sherlock, the infedelity that no one saw coming

(Anonymous) 2017-04-06 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone and their brother figured that if the Watson marriage was going to end, it would be because John decided to run off with Sherlock.

No one saw it coming when Mary decided to file for divorce so that she and Sherlock could run off together.

John is vaguely insulted, but figures that the two of them probably deserve one another.

mmm, seconding this for the sherlock/mary smut potential.

John goes back to the Army after Mary's reveal, John/Mary angst

(Anonymous) 2017-04-06 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Bear with, this gets a little complicated.

Following Mary's reveal that she was essentially an assassin, John decides that he doesn't really want to go back to being her blissfully ignorant husband, but stays married for the sake of the baby. When Mary suffers a miscarriage barely two weeks later, however, it's a done deal. John refuses to see her again, and nothing Sherlock says can change his mind. In fact, he decides that he's done with both of them. He's done with all of it.

John goes back to the Army. He gets put out on the front lines in a very high-ranking position, and for a few months everything is swell.

Then his unit is put in charge of taking out a hard-to-pin terrorist cell, with a leader that is essentially a ghost, and backup in the form of the UK's top sniper/assassin is called in.

When John gets news that the gunman has arrived, however, he isn't expecting to find his ex-wife wearing Kevlar, holding a sniper rifle, and talking numbers with unit command.

The tension between them is palpable. They're dancing around one another in just-barely-avoidance. There are still very hard feelings, now on both parts (Mary harbors some bitterness over John's response to the miscarriage). It quickly becomes hard to keep things "strictly business."

Bonus for routine physicals being required, or Mary getting a combat wound that needs stitching, and John being the only doctor on hand.

Double bonus for all of the "I don't really want to talk or be near you or even look at you but we're both supposed to be professionals and the military doesn't have time for this personal shit so let's just get this over with" moments that you can pack in.

Giant bonus: Them both getting stuck in a bad situation together and having a heart-to-heart because they think they're gonna die. (And then rescue comes.)

I don't know if it a response to this prompt or coincidence, but I swear I'm reading an ongoing story right now in AO3 that has all of the points you have here in it. Granted it is more of a JohnLock story, but it has all of this and it really is a good read!

(Anonymous) 2017-04-06 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Moriarty takes John and has scientists and doctors turn him into an Anthropomorphic dog (Appearance-wise, think furries) the hard way, as in multiple surgeries and genetic therapy. After all if he's Sherlock's pet, he should look the part.

John is gifted back to Sherlock, traumatized and transformed. John finds it nearly impossible to return to his former life. He can still speak, but with considerable difficulty. His eating habits have changed, walking on two-legs is uncomfortable, but possible. People stare at him in the streets.

Sherlock feels guilty for what happened and tries his best to accommodate John while pretending nothing happened.

Johnlock - modern royalty au

(Anonymous) 2017-04-07 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
John is secretly a prince, Sherlock knows and doesn't care, until John is being forced to marry.

Greg/Mycroft. Sherlock doesn't take it well.

(Anonymous) 2017-04-07 11:50 am (UTC)(link)
Greg and Mycroft have had feelings for each other for a while, and one day they finally decide to act on them (IDK, maybe Greg divorces and starts courting Mycroft).

When Sherlock learns that they are together, he loses his shit and starts yelling. He accuses Mycroft of stooping down to whoring himself out just to control Sherlock and get information on him from Lestrage, because, 'clearly', the attempt of monetary bribe failed. Mycroft is a whore, a slut and whatever abuse you can come up with. Bonus if a lot of people from the yard can hear and see the spectacle. Greg is absolutely furious.

Maybe John has to interfere, because... 'a bit not good'.

idk, Sherlock's got a thing with bees so I'd just like to see a thing where John used to be a bee.

Catlock - Sherlock develops cat-like instincts

(Anonymous) 2017-04-18 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock catches wind of a secret government experiment to make spies with enhanced senses and reflexes. In the course of the investigation, he gets dosed with the prototype drug. The effects take a while to develop, but he does indeed gain enhanced senses and superior reflexes, and also the urge to rub himself all over John.

No, he's not horny, he's got kitty instincts. They used cat DNA as their base for that particular prototype. Sherlock immediately starts searching for a cure, but his self-control is pretty much shot so he spends much more time unspooling toilet paper rolls and trying to nap in John's lap.

Lestrade is Sherlock's sponsor

(Anonymous) 2017-04-18 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Lestrade took a chance on Sherlock back when he was still on drugs most of the time. He saw potential, but what if he saw a bit of himself in Sherlock too?

Lestrade has been clean for a while (drugs and/or alcohol) and takes Sherlock under his wing and tries to get him clean because he's been there and he wants Sherlock to be the best he can be -- even if he can a self-absorbed prick most of the time.

Pre-series focused on Lestrade and Sherlock's road to recovery, or during the series with John finding all this out piece by piece as Sherlock and Lestrade struggle to keep each other sober through all the events, maybe even with John helping them out.

I've been starting on working the steps myself recently and it always makes me feel better to see my faves working through recovery :)

Sherlock/Lestrade or gen please!

Sherlock tries to turn John into Redbeard, dub-con/non-con

(Anonymous) 2017-05-06 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock realizes he loves John, but can't really accept it. The only other creature he remembers loving like that was Redbeard, his dog. In an attempt to move forward with his love in a way he understands, Sherlock starts treating John like a dog. It gradually gets more extreme as Sherlock finds it easier to love John the more he is like redbeard.

for extra fun - there might be a reveal that just like in s4, Redbeard was never actually a dog.

johnlock, omegaverse, the bond is an addiction

(Anonymous) 2017-05-11 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
when a alpha and omega have sex during heat, they imprint on each other and their partner's presence, but especially their scent becomes a full blown addiction for them with serious withdrawal symptoms if it isn't fed. It's possible to break the bond, but it requires a lot of patience and effort as the couple has to slowly ween each other off their presence and it's incredibly easy to backslide and just spend all their time with their partner.

John and Sherlock meet for the first time when one of them is in heat (Pick whoever you want to be the omega or alpha) and they bond. Though they have very different attitudes towards the bond, Sherlock has John move in and they navigate solving crime while not being able to leave each other for more than a hour at a time. As they grow closer, they start to wonder how much is the bond and how much is them genuinely liking each other.

Things to consider: Sherlock's history with drugs and John's views of alcoholism
