Prompting Part XXXVII

This is the new prompting post for the Sherlock Prompting Meme. Prompts from LJ can still be filled there with links here or filled here in the new overflow post.

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Your mods for this meme are [ profile] ellie_hell, [ profile] charname, [ profile] anonspock and [ profile] anonbach. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to contact us via the Page-A-Mod post.

While having an argument in public (completely non sexual), Sherlock blurts out his safe word.

Sherlock has a panic attack after using his safe word. The reason is because he used his safe word.

Bonus if this is a regular occurrence.

Aftermath of torture, age regression

All I want is traumatized, age-regressed John being cared for by Sherlock. I want Sherlock tucking him back in with his teddy after he's had a nightmare. I want a it-doesn't-get-better where Sherlock's still staying with his friend.

Make it hurt.

John has internalized homophobia, Sherlock is a nervous virgin

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock and John finally get together, but John still has some hangups about being in a physical relationship with a man and he only wants to have sex in heteronormative positions where he gets to be "the man". Sherlock knows this and tries to do whatever John wants from him because he doesn't want to lose John, but the truth is that sex does alarm him and it's quite difficult for him. John is careful and gentle with him, but he's a bit too focused on his need to be on top and be the penetrating partner to notice that Sherlock might need to start with something less intense than full-on anal sex. Their first time is a bit a of a disaster, but together they try to work through their issues.

Pre-Sherstrade where Lestrade's daughter is a mean girl

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
She is awful with her dad. She always criticise her father, have a snarky remark just like her mother.
One day Lestrade have to bring her to work and she is her normal self. Everyone at the crime scene was staring the them as Lestrade tries to do his job and his eight-year-old just comments everything he does. And then Sherlock stood up against her and defend Lestrade. but he is not awful he was kind and talk to the little girl and she understand it and she felt sorry and she would be a little different after the speach or at least she try to be.
I want Sherlock and Lestrade pinning after each other a while at this point and this the turning point for them or it could be established relationship if you want

Sherlock's coat isn't for dramatic purposes

(Anonymous) 2015-12-13 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
When Sherlock was a child, he idolised his older brother Sherrinford, he was always kind to him, and had a cool job (something like an MI5 agent, where there's lots of danger and secrecy). They'd play spies together, and sometimes Sherr would like Sherlock wear his coat, even though it was far too big for his brother.
Sherlock was crushed when his brother died young, a mission gone wrong or something, he didn't get to say goodbye or anything. So when he saw the Belstaff in a shop window he had to have it, so he could have that reminder of his brother everywhere he goes.

John/Sherlock. Mostly Asexual!Sherlock gets off on John standing up for him. Violence. Murders.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-13 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock sees himself as asexual, but he has got strong feelings for John that are more than friendship. He also gets sexually aroused and sometimes even gets orgasms every time John becomes violent towards anyone who hurts or tries to hurt Sherlock. And by that I mean John rearranging someone's face for serious insults and threats towards Sherlock (like that man from Met), or actually killing those who pose a serious threat to Sherlock's life. He has no problem doing things like that in the canon, so it's very John. And Sherlock always reacts to it, both physically and emotionally.

But it can be a darker John who gets some sort of evidence that Mary can (but not necessarily will) hurt Sherlock again when their girl is already born (maybe Mary says something half-jokingly that John sees as a threat or maybe there's some truth in her words), so John kills Mary, too, without regret, and sees no problem raising his daughter without her. And, despite everything, Sherlock can't help having a powerful sexual experience when he learns about it, because John has killed someone who was important to him for Sherlock. This is an ultimate proof that John cares!

Sherlock doesn't physically gets off on any other murders, regardless of Donovan's convictions, just on violence or murders committed by John to protect Sherlock.

Bonus: John learns about Sherlock's kink and describes murdering someone in detail as a sex talk (like whispering into his ear and touching him lightly in the process), which is enough to make Sherlock come.

Bonus no.2: actual sex between them after John commits a murder. Sherlock is very aroused and John takes his virginity (only top!John, please).

John/Sherlock(+All). Sometimes Sherlock becomes All. Genderfluidity.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-20 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really a crossover, it's just... There are some occasional days when Sherlock becomes All (like in Zoolander, just not a model :)). It's their secret and they are very worried about people finding out, because many people call Sherlock a freak as it is. But one day John sees All (maybe accidentally). Despite their fears of John laughing at them or leaving, John, albeit shocked at first, quickly starts playing along and accepts All as they are.

Eventually, they start a relationship with John having Sherlock both as regular Sherlock and All. Sherlock is very inexperienced in relationships, and it shows both when he's his regular self and All.

Bonus if All likes some rather girly things (apart from clothes and make up). For example, they are absolutely happy if John brings them a bouquet of flowers. Generally, John has to have a slightly different approach with Sherlock as Sherlock and with Sherlock as All.

If sex is described, please, top!John.

A substitue for companion( In which John is a Robot!)

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Artifical Intelligence AU! In a fictional future where Sherlock's companion Victor fell into a deep coma three years ago after an accident and chance is that he never wakes up. For fear of his brother turned to drug and self-destruction, Mycroft sends a unique sample of John-01: a companion robot with a clear instruction: if Sherlock finds no need for John destroy him, don't set him free. In the begining, Sherlock detests and doubt the idea, however, curiosity along with loneliness he decides to give it a try. John is an ideal flatmate( make tea for him, cook for him, dust the class and even praise him), after a while his personality begans to develop(but largely still uncomprehend of human behaviours or norms...)and he is helplessly in love with Sherlock(as is programmed) then Victor's state is better....Sherlock lies that John is his flamate robot( main duty is clean the house).
Of course, Victor is a jealous, manipulative and selfish bastard, there is some unfortunate situations.John may or may not have a diary. A chain of events sends John stumbles into a complex and strange world to become real so Sherlock can love him. Sherlock loves John but didn't realize till he leaves.
Plot twist(if possible) John is Moriarty's creation based on his deceased lover:Sebastian and know he has come home to him again. Please fill this for me!!!

Sherlock/John, Jim Moriarty, time-traveling, non-con.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Time Traveler's Wife AU! With a (dark) twist. Sherlock as Henry, John as Clare.

Sherlock has been a constant force in John Watson's life. He's watched him grow since boyhood, held his hand, given him a shoulder to cry on and was even his first kiss.

Then they meet for the supposedly first time after John has returned home from the war and carve out a crazy yet beautiful life together, solving crimes in-between Sherlock's abrupt disappearances, which sometimes last for weeks at a time. John puts up with it because he and Sherlock are in love and the time they have with each other is worth every bit of how much it hurts when Sherlock is away.

It works for them until they cross paths with criminal mastermind Moriarty, who, amazingly enough, was born with the same genetic defect as Sherlock. He can travel through time as well. The only difference is that he, unlike Sherlock, can control it.

He uses his gift to taunt Sherlock with threats like going back in time to smother him in his crib when he was a baby or murdering his parents to stop him from ever being born. Sherlock isn't very moved by these threats as he knows that Moriarty wouldn't take such an easy way out. He doesn't take him very seriously at all until Moriarty goes back to the year that John is a fragile seventeen years old and sexually assaults him (maybe even when Sherlock is there during one of his visits if you want to be extra cruel), totally altering the sort of person John is today. John becomes withdrawn and depressed and grows to resent Sherlock for drawing him into the insanity that is their lives.

Sherlock, destoryed by guilt and rage, vows to fix things. Maybe he figures out a way to control his time-traveling and stops Moriarty from hurting John. Maybe he kills Moriarty. Or maybe he can't do anything about what's happened and Moriarty wins. That part is up to the filler.

Happy-ish ending would be appreciated but definitely not necessary.

John/Sherlock, Archie, Parentlock.

Mystrade. Mycroft tries to play matchmaker for Lestrade.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-28 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
Lestrade has been sort of pining after Mycroft but doesn't think anything will come out of their strictly professional work relationship. Then Mycroft finds for some reason Lestrade's apparent loneliness quite disturbing and decides to set him up with someone. Lestrade tries to decline the offers or just goes along with it just to satisfy Mycroft. Until one night, guilt ridden Lestrade blurts out to his date that he's actually into Mycroft.

Shenanigans ensue.

Mycroft is a drug addict, but it's all under control

(Anonymous) 2015-12-28 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Mycroft has been addicted to prescription drugs for years. He thinks it's different from Sherlock's addiction to street drugs and it's well under control. He just needs his doctor to prescribe him the drugs on a regular basis but as long as he's on it, he's fine.

Someone(could be anyone - even Mrs Hudson?) finds out.

Any pairing welcome. <3

Fill: Mycroft is a drug addict, but it's all under control

(Anonymous) 2016-01-02 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Mycroft stays well under the radar. Even Sherlock fails to pick up on his new-found habit. After all it's a prescription drug and he has all the right paper work to prove that he requires it for a medical reason.

Doctor Nicholson writes the prescription with his good hand and a thin smile and hastily says, "Until next time, Mr Holmes."

He has one of those convenient plastic little containers with days on each lid and put more tablets than necessary in them under the pretense of being a fastidious patient.

Inside the medical cabinet, behind the unforgiving mirror in his bathroom, there lies the container on the stacks of clean towels. Mycroft hesitates, only for a second, and grabs it with a need that he hasn't felt for a long time.

He takes the tablets, gulps down the tab water, and wishes Mummy won't call him tonight. With her plummy and sweet voice laced with poorly hidden concern, asking how Sherlock has been doing.

The tablets melt upon his tongue, leaving a bitter trail down his throat. Sherlock is doing alright, Mummy. He has been sober for a long time. John's there with him all the time. He's a good doctor. He remembers his own assurance and a long remorseful sigh after the call, and the guilt that disappears after he pops more tablets in his mouth.

His phone beeps discreetly when he blinks his eyes open after a while. A text from Anthea. Sherlock's in trouble, it says. And DI Lestrade is trying to take charge of the situation.

Bugger. He's not in the right mind right now. Not now. Not now.

But Anthea knocks on the door. He Mycroft hastily shoves the container back into the cabinet, closes the door and checks his own reflection in the mirror. His blood shot eyes look back.

"Yes, come in," Mycroft says determinedly, knowing what he must do. He will meet Lestrade for a debrief, and find out what Sherlock is up to.

When he arrives at the scene, it's lightly raining. The drizzle calms him down, somehow, but the raindrops feel too cold and caressing on his skin.

"Detective Inspector," He says by way of greeting. It earns him a startled look from Lestrade who has been barking orders to his subordinates, not caring for a second that he's soaked in rain from standing long hours without an umbrella.

"Mycroft? I... You shouldn't have come," Lestrade says defensively.

"Whilst I have great trust in your ability to control Sherlock to an extend," he draws in a breath and continues, "I would appreciate it if you could give me up-to-date report on Sherlock's exact involvement in the case." Somehow, Mycroft doesn't feel worried. He doesn't feel much, other than the sudden blossoming interest in the elegant color of Lestrade's lumpy hair.

Lestrade looks at him curiously for a moment. There are shouts and mutterings in the background. There is a gurney. There is a dead body. Mycroft knows who the murderer is, but it's not his job to tell. After a while, Lestrade only nods, with a certain sort of determination not dejection, and walks towards his car like a well-trained dog. But that's an illusion.

Mycroft gets into the car after Lestrade, welcomed by the warmed dry air inside. He closes his eyes, breathing in through his mouth, chasing away the cold, sticky feeling from outside with a shrug of his shoulders. It's still there, the drug pumping through his veins. An euphoric numbness takes over him one more time. He nearly purrs.

"Mycroft?" There is a tentative touch to his knee. Mycroft jumps. When he opens his eyes, he's faced with knowing, accusing eyes. Brown. Dark. And too kind.

"What are you on now?" Lestrade asks, and it's a question and not a question at the same time. Mycroft swallows, weighing options, thinking about the possible, some definite consequences. He's trying to think but he can only feel the warmth of a big hand just above his knee now and try to process the information about why he's here with this good man in his car, and all his denied needs and desires of the past.

"I am..." Mycroft wants to shout and scream. "I am alright." His voice is too weak in his head. His hands tremble.

"Hey, Mycroft." Lestrade grabs his one hand, hold his wrist when he tries to get away, but with a gentle sort of touch. "Mycroft, look. I don't think it's a good idea to talk about Sherlock's case now. He's still working on it, trying to find out who the murderer is, and..."

"It's the bloody gardener," he snaps, trying to get rid of his hand one more time.

"..what?" But Sherlock..." Lestrade struggles for words for a moment, but doesn't still let him go. "Right," Lestrade eventually says and smiles ruefully. "Only if you were a self-proclaimed consulting detective that did job for free."

Mycroft nearly rolls his eyes, but doesn't. He knows what that makes him look like. He looks like a Holmes with a stark different that set him apart from the rest of the population. Too pale skin. Too bright mind. Too much of everything.

"Is it the same drug Sherlock used to use?" Lestrade shakes him a bit. Mycroft realises that he's nearly fallen asleep.

"No. I've got a prescription," Mycroft says proudly. The childish emotion goes away like a tide.

"What for? Do you have a medical condition?"

Mycroft nearly smiles, then says, "Perhaps." And it's something of an answer enough that Lestrade moves to sit next to him, knocks on the divider and whispers in his husky, tired voice, "Can you drive us back to his place? Please?" For some reason, Robert, his sensible, quiet chauffeur, agrees to it and makes a swift U-turn.

Orange lights pass by. Lestrade still doesn't let go of his wrist. Mycroft quietly says, "I am sorry."

"I will help you," Lestrade says after a beat.

"" Mycroft hears a trace of hope that he doesn't want to admit that he's feeling.

"I will do what I did with Sherlock. It worked. Well, mostly," Lestrade says, chuckles, and ducks his head. "I know I am just a dumb old cop. It took me weeks before I realised that I might need Sherlock's help to catch the murderer. When you could've solved the case with just one glance, even when you are... you are.." Lestrade takes a deep breath and continues, "You are too brilliant to be wasted. Let me help you, Mr Holmes. Mycroft."

It's pouring down with rain now. The car has stopped a moment ago. Mycroft hesitates, only for a second, and with a need that he only felt for a hit from the drug, he grabs Lestrade's hand, and nods.

It's what it all takes.

tw: rape I was thinking about a fic where Mycroft is on some diplomatic mission that goes horribly wrong, and it gets livestreamed to Sherlock. Please don't have a tragic end, and Sherlock can either ignore it or be desperate to find him. If he does ignore it, can he feel really guilty about it.

John/Sherlock. An unusual way for Mrs Hudson to learn that they are togerther.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-29 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
One day/night Sherlock and John are having sex (only top!John, please). I'm not sure I remember the layout of their flat and Mrs Hudson's correctly, but, I imagine, John's room would be more appropriate here. So, they are having hot, passionate sex, so passionate that the floor under the bed breaks (it was probably just a matter of time anyway) and, together with said bed they fall straight into Mrs Hudson's flat. Whether Mrs Hudson was sleeping prior to it or having tea and a nice chat with several other old ladies, there's a lot of dust, pieces of wood, a broken bed and two people on top of it in the middle of her room now. John and Sherlock are still very much naked, of course, and John is probably still in Sherlock, and they probably need an ambulance. I'd love to see reactions to this incident.

Sherlock and John are parents to a little brat

(Anonymous) 2015-12-29 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
So I was visiting my aunt and uncle this past weekend for the holidays. My little shit of a cousin was there just being awful as usual and he said something rude to my aunt. My uncle is chivalrous in the "that's my wife, talk to her like that again and I'll rip you apart" kind of way and basically tore my cousin a new one for being disrespectful.

So of course that was awesome and very satisfying to watch (if a bit awkward) and it gave me an idea for a fic where Sherlock and John are parents and their kid/one of their kids back-talks John in front of Sherlock, who promptly tears into him.

Not too angsty, please!

Sherlock has been dead for almost a year when John finds out Moriarty is still alive. In fact, the criminal mastermind appears one day in his living room saying he is curious to know better Sherlock's ex pet. After the first bursts of rage, John begins to realize how similar he is to Sherlock, and how different at the same time. The two end up having a strange, deep relationship that is something more than simple friendship. Then Sherlock comes back. Lots of angst, please. I'd like to see a shattered, betrayed Sherlock.

John/Sherlock, Categorised as husband, vague mentions of Abominable Bride

(Anonymous) 2016-01-02 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I would really like a fic with something like this as the summary: Sherlock and John have been happily married for years. Unfortunately, only in the outer reaches of Sherlock's mind, and our John has soldiered on blissfully unaware. At least until Sherlock, in a particularly confused state, mistakenly addresses the real John as 'My Dearest Husband' and hands him rather than Mycroft the list.

Moriarty has a younger sister + she meets Sherlock and John

(Anonymous) 2016-01-03 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'm very interested in Jim Moriarty and his background. I haven't finished season 3 of Sherlock just yet, but I want something where Jim has a younger sister that he loved dearly and she is just as smart as him but doesn't agree with what he does. I want her meeting Sherlock and John someway, somehow, sometime after the season 2 finale and I don't want them to find out who she is until after they've started to trust her in the least bit. There can be an argument, maybe even Jim's sister storming away or being shunned, but in the end I want Jim's sister to prove that she is on the good side and everyone is happy. Yeah.

Imaginary John

(Anonymous) 2016-01-03 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
After Sherlock had been tortured in Serbia, a doctor took care of his injuries - and Sherlock imagined that it was John instead. Since then, whenever Sherlock gets hurt, it helps him to cope with the pain if he imagines that John is by his side, stroking his hair and murmuring something soothing. Sherlock feels that it's pathetic, but he can't stop fantasizing. An imaginary John is better than none.
