prompting part XXIII

All new prompts go on Part XXIV
Prompts from this post can be filled on the Overflow Post

IMPORTANT! Spoilers for aired episodes are now being allowed on this area of the meme, without warning. If you do not want to encounter spoilers, please prompt at our Spoiler-Free Prompt Post.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
+Anon posting is most definitely allowed, but not required.
+All kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance--whatever. Go wild! :D
+Keep things neat! Read prompts before you post to see if something similar has already been done, and while you are encouraged to prompt as much as you like, try to fill as well.
+Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.
+RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.
+Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments.
+However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. Also at 7000, after the freeze a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.
+Multiple fills are encouraged! :) Just because a prompt has already been claimed or written by someone, do not be afraid to offer up a second fill.
+re: hijacking.

Please refrain from hijacking a prompt. Hijacking may be defined as responding to a prompt by taking a portion of it and adding your own ideas about what should be added, changed or eliminated. In addition, commenting with off topic jokes or chatter.

By hijacking, the focus of the prompt can be lost, and inappropriate threads created. By doing this fillers may be discouraged which is something no one wants to experience.

If a prompt leads you to an original idea, please create your own prompt. The chatter or love posts are the proper places to share jokes or talk about prompts that have inspired you.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
Put links to your fills here. There are instructions on the actual post. I ask that if the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, please make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort.
Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods would be happy to explain.

CONTACTING MODS
Your mods for this meme are [livejournal.com profile] snowishness, [livejournal.com profile] marill_chan and [livejournal.com profile] ellie_hell. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to send a PM or contact us via the Page-A-Mod post.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for triggery prompts (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.
You are highly encouraged to scroll right past a prompt that you dislike.

Remember, guys; Be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

It did seem to me like he was trying to tease her, but in a companionable way. Like, "Hey, Molly, congratulations on your new boyfriend!"

The 'small mouth/small breasts' thing is not so cool, but then it's not news that Sherlock's an ass even when he's not trying to be. (Also apparently he's blind, because she looked fantastic in that getup.)

I think I've had a skewed perception about when people are being an ass and when to just roll my eyes and go, "Yup, you're kind of incompetent with people but I won't hold it against you!" ever since I was called "Rat-Features" by a guy who couldn't work out why the name made me burst into tears rather than want to go out with him (we were in our early teens, and he apparently had a pet rat that he was very fond of and who I reminded him of...) XD

O.O Yeah, you know, I think you're entitled to that. I wouldn't have been too thrilled with that guy either.

And I'm not trying to imply that Molly hasn't got every right to be upset. She's totally justified in being furious, poor girl. I just meant that I could see how it might've been Sherlock's failtastic attempt to be friendly, but just because someone meant well doesn't always fix their making a total hash of things.

Argh, sorry. It appears that words are not my friends tonight! I meant to say I agreed with you totally, and I probably would have gone even softer on Sherlock due to the whole meaning well side of things. :D

As to my incompetent guy: I mean, yeah at the time I wasn't thrilled, but when I understood what he *meant* it gave a vastly different perspective that completely wipes out the original offence I took. I still wasn't attracted to him, but that's a whole different matter!

(I don't mind people having Molly upset with Sherlock in stories, because, well, she was, and she's got a fairly delicate equilibrium where he's concerned, and that's a character POV - what I do find uncomfortable reading is when people use Molly as a reason to paint Sherlock as villain from the omniscient/authorial viewpoint, because what I see in those scenes is so very reminiscent of some socially-challenged people I've known who were genuinely trying their best to help or be complimentary in various circumstances. It's propbably one of those YMMV things.)

Heh, isn't it always a nuisance when that happens? ^_^ No worries.

And I agree about villianizing Sherlock--or any other character in the same situation--that way. It's not one of his better attributes, and it's fair to hold him accountable for the damage he does, but that's very different from saying he's a bad guy because of it. And, hey, I used to be one of those socially challenged people, so I do appreciate having the opportunity to apologize and make amends. :)
