I'm sorry to lose you. I too much prefer several of LJ's features, but since they have now effectively disabled anonymous commenting I doubt staying on LJ would have left the meme any more useable.

Some people without paid accounts have tried to create a single-thread tracking workaround by creating a sock email address to track the whole post and setting up certain notifications or keywords to be forwarded to their main address. I haven't used that method myself, but I hope people who relied on prompt tracking will find it useful.
