THE MEME NEEDS ARCHIVISTS!

GUIDELINES

Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

John realises one day that Mycroft will do anything to stop him from moving out of 221B. After a huge fight with Sherlock, John declars on impulse that he's moving out, and panicked!Sherlock calls Mycroft for intervention. Mycroft kidnaps John and tries to change his mind. Of course John doesn't intent to actually leave 221B, but seeing how desperate Mycroft looks right now...he wants to enjoy it as long as possible. So he keeps insisting that he doesn't want to live with Sherlock anymore. At first Mycroft treatens him and then tries to bribe him as usual, and when it doesn't work either, he starts to reason with him, almost begging...

Angst, fluff, dark!John, I don't mind either day.

Sherlock texts him only when he absolutely needs to. It is such a rare occurrence that when his brother does text him, a certain part of him alarms in an old habit. Though ever since the good doctor, John Watson, moved into 221B, Sherlock has been more fond of harassing him with nonsensical texts just so he could entertain himself during the few hours of John’s absence from their shared flat.
So when the calls comes, and the caller ID reads just plain “Sherlock Holmes” on the screen, he ignores the fact that he has been attending an entirely too important meeting with state heads for hours now, and leaves the room without so much as a node.
“Sherlock,” he says hurriedly, and there is a long stretch of silence before Sherlock finally answers, “Mycroft.”
“What have you done now?” Mycroft asks, striding out of the earshot of agents near-by in the corridor.
“Nothing.”
“But why—“
Then he stops, and suddenly understands what has finally forced his proud brother to resort to this. Anything less of a threat of John’s permanent absence in his life, Sherlock wouldn’t have called him like this; he would have texted. And there is such a lack of the usual mocking tone his brother takes on when he is in a lighter mood when he finally says, “…John.”
“I will take care of things,” Mycroft says with finality and there is a pause, a hesitant intake of breath and then the line goes dead.
He does not go back to the meeting that he has organized and planned for months, and asks Andrea to bring out the car and take him to the warehouse where he first met John Watson all those months ago, and he suddenly tastes a mixture of the blind hope and suspicion that he felt when he held the doctor’s steady hand; the strong blue-grey eyes locked with his own, for a split of seconds, before a contempt took over his features and his hand was taken away from his hold.
It does not take more than an hour or so, for his people to arrange the similarly impromptu meeting with John. The difference is that John Watson is no longer the wary, disoriented victim of his whims with bubbling anger under the surface. The man that comes bounding out of his car is a solider, knife-sharp energy and solid determination; he makes beeline for where he stands and Mycroft stubbornly keeps his standing only out years of training instead of backing out.
“What now, Mycroft? What now?!”

“John, come now. We both know that you and Sherlock…”
“Of course, this is about Sherlock, of course! And this meeting of yours… I have never consented, and will never…”
“Please.”
It’s all Mycroft has to say, and abruptly John stops himself and looks at him hard as if he misheard it, doubting himself, then calculating his chances. Suddenly Mycroft remembers how the good doctor has a soft spot for people in need, which is a partial reason why he had enlisted in the Army in the first place, before he had gotten himself addicted to the adrenalin high, after all. Maybe that is the precise reason why John had stayed around Sherlock as long as he has. It is a miracle.
“John, Doctor Watson. I understand the difficulty of living with Sherlock more than anyone. As I, myself had to put up with his self-destructive, anti-social behavior for years being his older brother as it is.”
“Yes, precisely. You are his brother and I am not. And I am tired of all the… drama that drives me nuts and not just me but the people around me. And don’t you dare tell me your brother needs me. Because if he does…”
“He does, indeed. And he has an unusual way of showing his gratitude. No matter how unconventional it is, please remember that he means no harm.”
Mycroft desperately wishes that this is enough to drive John back to their shared flat in 221b. That this is just a case of a domestic, nothing more.
“…no,” John breaths out the word as if he has been holding it for some time---and Mycorft realises with sudden comprehension that he is not prepared for this. The determined rejection, that is. He scrambles for a retort hurriedly, and comes up with nothing. What one does to persuade a bull-headed ex-army like John Watson?
“John. If you remember, I can offer you a quite substantial sum of money, if you would, and it would definitely ease you way---“
“Fuck, no. Mycroft. I don’t want your money.”

What a great start! I already like this story and I hope there will be more soon.
