THE MEME NEEDS ARCHIVISTS!

GUIDELINES

Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

I want this! Just please I want happy end!

So... this is a small start for this! Hope it's okay, haven't got a Beta or anything. So... yeah, there will be angst ahead!

Sherlock had always been a fan of theatrics. This particular reveal could be nothing less than phenomenal; John deserved nothing less than perfect, even as he was finding out that Sherlock himself was indeed not as dead as everyone had presumed.

… Which he felt a little put out that John had yet to even look up at him. Adjusting his bowtie irritably, he circled back around to see a woman across from his blogger. A hot spike of emotion shot through him, watching their obviously significant discussion. Grabbing a champagne bottle, he approached his target, rattling off a long spiel of nonsense as he looked at John.

His eyes were what truly stood out, especially as they dragged up to finally see his persistent waiter. Those eyes, that had once looked upon him with so much adoration and humour, now simply looked… dead.

He hadn’t even flinched, looking at Sherlock. He had just stared, cold gaze watching as Sherlock made a fool of himself, prattling on and making jokes about John’s new hair development. The woman had been talking, but everything seemed to blur in Sherlock’s mind insignificant and not worth processing because John was there.
And then he was being tackled to the ground, choked with strategic precision and the world blurred again.

They’d stopped at a chippy. A brief dialogue before he was met once more with the physical side of John’s anger. What hurt more than any blow, any bruise he obtained, was the lifeless look within John’s eyes… Until that gaze flitted to his newest fling; one Miss Mary Morstan.

A hollow feeling took root in his aortal valve, felt like someone was tugging the artery straight out of his heart as a fondness took over John’s features... A look that used to be reversed solely for him.

Mary had reassured him she would talk to John, but Sherlock knew quite certainly that this was it. He had messed up too much, there was no friendship, no feelings within John that he had once hoped would take the place of the resentment and hate the detective had seen for him upon his return.

He had lost the one important person he cared for most dearly.
With shaking hands, he pulled his phone from his pocket. Trying to steady his disloyal limbs into righting themselves, he quickly typed a message to one of his homeless confidantes.

The day had been a rousing success. He had ‘come out’ to Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson, and the public had caught wind he was alive once more. He had even received a hug from the Detective Inspector, which had been wholly unpredicted. Sherlock had marvelled at the distinct differences between his reaction and John’s. A part of his mind echoed John in an impassive, mocking echo. You would have liked the reactions reversed, wouldn’t you? To feel my arms around you. Pathetic, Sherlock. He tried to shake that off, looking around the empty flat as the last whispers of John’s voice faded.

As soon as his informant had dropped off his ‘supplies’, Sherlock immediately set about sterilising the syringe, smiling fondly at the little instrument. He would say he had two weeks before Mycroft caught on his that he had taken up his little habit again. After that point he could have to get creative…

Still, not worth thinking about now. He groaned as the needle pierced his skin, the liquid disappearing in a rush before the waiting began. One minute fifteen seconds, he had calculated many years ago. The time it would take for the drug to start working its’ way around his body, fully taking over his neural paths and helping him forget.

Existence without John was boring, as he had never realised life before they had met three years ago was.
The world got brighter around him, and he allowed himself a grin as his hand outstretched from the couch to the armchair. He laughed, looking at the watery image of the only person he had ever loved sitting peacefully, reading the newspaper.

“John.” He breathed, joy soaring through him as he scrambled up, holding on to the spectre as long as he could, desperately hoping the man would solidify into a permanent fixture. A smile flitted across his John’s face as they looked at each other.

After two years of abstinence, two years of not being able to see that wonderful smile and supressing his inner most desires, Sherlock finally felt alive, once more. Curling up next to the armchair, far gone enough to almost feel that gun calloused hand running through his messy curls, he closed his eyes and smiled.
It was only when he had awoken in the morning, alone and cold on the floor, that he truly registered that it was merely an elaborate hallucination.

You have absolutely nothing to apologise for! :O This is just a detail and it doesn't really matter. Angst, depression, painful love, shattered dreams and really hurt Sherlock who only wants John is all that matters to me (I'm a bit not good, you see...), and you're giving it to me. :) Thanks again!
