John is Death. Not that he wanted to be it willingly but it's his job. Then he meets Sherlock who is at the brink of death, his soul ready for the taking.

But John never been more fasinated of a human before and refuses to take his soul. He instead takes a human form as a doctor and nurses him back to health even though he's forbidden to do so.
