I have to admit I don't really get why Moffat has that reputation. I don't find his women's characterisations more or less objectionable than his men. Apart from that compulsion to make his plots as complicated and logic-defying as possible, I don't find his whole writing very distinctive. Maybe it's a DW fandom thing? I remember reading wank about RTD being misogynist all the time when I was in Torchwood fandom...
