Icons with your face on it are a bit weir no matter how you look.

This. Unless your self-photo icon is easily confusable for a celebrity/singer/actor/whatever icon cropped from a magazine photo (or your face isn't in it), I think it's weird. I just don't like knowing that it is a real, fandom person looking at me from that icon while I read the porn the person in that icon wrote. Even if they're attractive.

But your LJ. Whatever floats your boat. I'm just going to ad-block your icon.
