Alas, the root of my entire problem. I have expat shield, but because of the low bandwidth in my rural area (hence the slow internet connection), a connection to iplayer stutters so badly, it's not worth it to watch :(

I'm in an urban area and have the same problem. I can download fine from iplayer but it's STILL NOT WORKING and I can't stream because our lines are like 50 years old. Argh.

Ditto. When is the download going to come up on iplayer.

Just to upset you. In the UK lots of the telephone and internet cables are literally 50 years old. As the inventors of fiber optic cable we are also on gen 1 fibre optics and our idiotic government won't fund upgrades despite upgrade to gen 4 fibre optics being the the top of the list when business is consulted.
