A situation in a case becomes more dangerous than Sherlock anticipated and finds himself nearly raped in a gang bang. John almost doesn't arrive in time and when he does he sees that Sherlock has been stripped bare and is already being fondled by the group. In rage he shoots and kills them all without mercy.

Sherlock comes out feeling shaken by this unpleasant event but otherwise is fine. John however is much more effected by it. He becomes fiercely protective towards Sherlock, the image of him being naked and helpless in front of his assaulters always fresh in his mind and never leaving. He won't allow Sherlock out of his sight, not even for a minute especially during cases. When Sherlock asks him to do something that requires him leaving, John refuses.

Sherlock thinks it will be a matter of time until John gets his senses back but as the months go by Sherlock begins to see how serious the issue truly is.
