Poll: Prompt Freezes Part II, The Revenge

The situation as it stands: Prompt Freezes happen at 2500, 4500, (the two intermittent freezes) and 7000 (the freeze between posts) comments.

They last roughly 24 hours.

The Question, then is...Do you think this should be changed?

Since this is a poll, only logged in people can vote. The list of people who have voted, however, is only available to me (and it's not like I'll be checking it). Still, I understand if you're not comfortable with that, and feel free to leave anonymous comments registering your opinion below. Do know that I'm going to go mostly off of the poll results, though.

Lengthen the intermittent freezes to 4 days and the freeze between prompts to one week

Anon vote:

Lengthen all freezes to (a minimum) two days (48 hours). (Maybe weighted so it's over the nearest weekend)
Have unfreeze happen only when the filled prompt post is up to date.

Another anon vote:

Lengthen the two intermittent freezes to two days and the freeze between prompts to more than three days.

How about basing the freezes off pages rather than comments, because I don't want the wonderful insanity of the meme to be supressed, but the chatter does take up a lot of comment space. Maybe at freeze at 20 pages, 40 pages and cut-off at 65 pages?

I'd like to suggest a Chatter post. That way the non prompt conversations can be redirected there and not inflate the comment total. Mods can freeze unrelated conversations in prompt posts and leave a link.

^ Seconded. I love the chatter, but it does become overwhelming.

I had a thought that you could get rid of the intermittent freezes and have the freezes in between posts a week to two weeks but the more I think about , it would probably not work
