I want john to be younger than everyone thinks he is. Have him be in his mid/late 20s, maybe he got his degree early or went to university early, or maybe he got discharged from the army sooner than in the original. How do the others find out, is it who he hangs out width, or his mannerisms that make them think that he's not as old as he is. How do they react.
