gen or light johnlock, sherlock secretly likes John's coddling

well, not exactly. But he does enjoy how John abandons his other responsibilities to take care of sherlock. Maybe it's because he's jealous of John's time, but more likely it's because no one else has ever put Sherlock first, and dropped everything when he called on them. To Sherlock, it is fascinating, incredibly touching, and gives him an exhilarating power rush. Being the genius he is, Sherlock carefully deduces how best to make it happen, and how frequently he can do it without making John suspicious

for example: maybe Sherlock actually eats and sleeps less now so that John will try to cook for him/put him to bed/harass him into taking care of himself. And maybe he sometimes gets cases from Lestrade, but busies himself with whatever preliminary work he can do so that he can text John mid shift or date, and watch him come running. Maybe he overplays his boredom strops at times when he knows it will get John to feel exasperated but sympathetic, because then John will focus on trying to ease Sherlock's boredom instead of just getting angry and storming out.

Really, anything in line with the above theme will do. If John stays ignorant, or figures it out, it doesn't matter. If he does figure it out, he can get mad, but I'd prefer he be somewhat understanding/neutral to it in the end (in real life I realize this wouldn't be the healthiest relationship, but this is fic, and I'd rather it not go too deep into the problems. Not that John can't have a stern lecture or that Sherlock shouldn't be encouraged to try a bit harder to not do those things)
