Prompting Part XXXVI

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

I'd love to see this.

[Crossover With Kingsman] Mycroft is jealous of Harry's umbrella

(Anonymous) 2015-02-16 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Saw Kingsman The Secret Service today. I love Harry's arsenal of weapons which includes his rainmaker that deflects bullets and has a shotgun and stun feature. Mycroft carries an ordinary umbrella and he's utterly jealous. He's not a Kingsman, so he can't have one no matter how hard he tries.

Bonus points if Mycroft is sulking but hiding it badly.

Johnlock size difference

IMMA JUST GONNA LAY IT OUT THERE I FREAKING LOOOVEEE JOHBLOCK SIZE DIFFERENCE!!!

Okay? Okay. I like it more than the chemistry and the tension. Don't judge me.
There's a photo of John passing Sherlock his mobile and it's my favourite thing in the world.

Soo.. Can anyone please, please write a fic just exploring this? Plotty, pwp, or just the hands thing and Sherlock thinking about it. Doesn't matter, please write this?

Crossover with Kingsman. Spoilers for Kingsman: The Secret Service.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-17 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
So, I saw Kingsman: the Secret Service today, and... I couldn't stop thinking 'MYCROFT!' through the entire movie, especially when Harry was being BAMF with the brolly. So:

Since they're based on the Arthurian Legend of the Round Table. They need to have a Guinevere, if only to cause tensions between Arthur and Lancelot (dis is probably why Lancelot keeps dying? Cos I mean, Lancelot was dead at the start of the movie, which is why they were replacing him. Then he dies again near the start of the movie, hence why they're once more replacing him. So...). Anyway. They'll need a Guinevere, and since the titles are unisex (e.g. Lancelot is a woman) Guinevere can be a man. Guinevere is the only one who can talk to Arthur (outside of the Round Table) and expect him/her to listen to her/him SOME of the time.

So here is the actual prompt: Mycroft is Guinevere. That's why Sherlock finds it amusing when they're at Buckingham Palace and John asks if they're there to see the Queen and Sherlock answers 'Apparently, yes', because Guinevere is the Queen. It also totally fits with why Mycroft carries that bloody Brolly around with him everywhere, and why he's always wearing a suit, even when he goes home to his parents house for Christmas. So I want BAMFY Mycroft complaining about Legwork and being frustrated because he and Arthur are having a bit of a lover's spat (doesn't need to actually be in a relationship with Arthur, would prefer Mycroft with Lestrade) and Lancelot is, once again, dead.

TL;DR: Mycroft is Guinevere. Tada.

(also, I think Mycroft is drunk, he just told me 'srrew driver'. Put the alcohol down, honey, it's time for bed...)

Not Worth the Wound, 1/?

It was time. John was safely away, with Mrs. Hudson. Molly was ready. The plan was as secure as he could make it. So many variables he couldn't control, so many risks, and John's life as a forfeit if he failed, if he failed...

No, this would work. It must work. Likely his preparations wouldn't all be necessary, if he could force Moriarty to call off his dogs--and he could be...persuasive when necessary.

He took a deep breath and walked out onto the rooftop, elaborately casual. There was a click of a gun behind him and Sherlock turned casually, refusing to hurry despite the instinctive and inconvenient jump in his gut. "Moriarty. Hardly your usual technique, a gun. I can't imagine you want to do anything so tedious as shoot me."

Moriarty grinned manically, wild and much, much too confident. "Oh, not at all, Sherlock. I'm going to do much more than shoot you." He giggled, high and mad. "But if you try anything stupid, I suppose I'll have to settle. Kneel down, hands behind your head."

This was not good. This was very not good, this was not remotely what he was expecting. Brute force wasn't Moriarty's style, he was a genius, he had to be clever, he had to prove he was clever. Fragility of genius, needs an audience. He felt the man beside him, the gun to his temple. No way to make a move without dying. "What's your game, Jim?"

Instead of answering him, Moriarty spoke, as if to empty air--though a wire, obviously. "Bring him up."

There was a few minutes of silence, and then a tall, thin man with an angular face--

(Former military, going by bearing, out at least five years, going by the tone of his teeth--doxycycline--not his choice of clothes, moves slightly uncomfortably in them as if ill at ease, trained killer, assesses the situation on coming in but has no emotional connection...)

With a knife in the small of John Watson's back. Sherlock's eyes widened momentarily before he controlled himself, feigning a disinterested look. John shouldn't be here, this is meant to be between him and Moriarty.

"You lost your pet again. Not a very responsible owner, are you?" Moriarty taunted.

"We've watched this film before, Jim. Sign of a dull mind, repeating yourself."

Moran brought John out onto the roof, well away from where anyone would see. Cuffed as well, though he'd put up a fight, based on the bruises he could see on Moriarty's man. And he knew it was soundproof up here, only a maintenance area below, no one would hear unless shots were fired.

"Not exactly," Moriarty laughed. "No. Not this time. You see, I wanted to make you kill yourself, but you had a plan--oh, I know you had a plan, you're like me. You always have a plan. No."

"You see, I wanted to end the world, but I’ll settle for ending yours." And with a brutal, rattlesnake strike, the soldier plunged the knife into John's side.

Not Worth the Wound, 2/2 (?)

[identity profile] anon-socks.livejournal.com 2015-02-17 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"JOHN!" tore from Sherlock's throat before he could stop it, trying to lunge forward without thinking, until the cold barrel of the gun checked him.

"Not another move, Sherlock, or I'll put a bullet through your head." Instant death, or close. No help to John if he was dead.

John's face was contorted in a rictus of pain as the man dragged the blade through his side--

lung-kidney-liver-stomach; human can loose up to 15% of blood volume without serious side effects--move for him now--no bullet in my brain before I got a foot, no chance of help--attack Moriarty--no--distraction--

There was so much blood, already soaking John's shirt and trousers, leaving him pale as the man wrenched the knife out, leaving nothing to stop the wound, nothing to keep--Sherlock fought for mastery over himself. "Hardly--you--" He couldn't speak, throat closing with panic. John. John was going to bleed to death if he didn't--John was going to--

"What's that? Cat got your tongue? Or maybe you swallowed a spider?" Moran was holding John now, more to support him, but with the blade pressed to John's throat. John was breathing raggedly now--

something wrong...raspy. Blood on his lips, no, no. Lung. Damaged lung, internal damage, need to get him to a trauma unit, need to THINK!

Sherlock managed to swallow past the massive lump, trying to force his voice to calm. "Just kill him. Hardly interesting. I expected better of you."

Moriarty snickered--he hated that laugh, hated it--wanted to strangle him, white hot rage swelling in his chest, futile and blinding. "I told you. I'll burn the heart out of you. And you--well, we're going to leave in a minute, and you're going to stay here, because otherwise, your doctor will die.

"Of course, he probably will anyway. So unlucky!" He nodded sharply and the ex-soldier dropped John, who tried to catch himself but fell instead, hard on his stomach--grit in the wound, danger of infection raised--letting out a breathless noise that would have been a scream if he had the air to do it.

Then the gun was gone and Sherlock burst out like a a shot, running to John's side, pulling out his mobile, calling 999.

"Rooftop. St. Bart's--John's--hurry. Stabbed." He tossed the device aside, ignoring the other questions as he turned John over.

Pale, ashy pale--clammy. Circulatory shock. Heart trying to pump faster to compensate, pushing out more blood.

He yanked off his scarf pressing it against the wound hard, bringing another breathless cry from John. The blood soaked through it, red and brilliant and wrong wrong wrong on his hands.

"Sh--Sherlock. G--go. Going t-----to...escape."

Sherlock shook his head, angry, furious at the idea that he could go now, when John was not dying not dying not dying can't be dying bleeding. "Not important. Shut up, John, your lung's been damaged."

"Sh...shock---nngh...too m--much..."

"No. No, John, you are not allowed to be an idiot--I know you are an idiot, but you are not permitted. I forbid you to say anything idiotic, just--be quiet. They'll be here in a moment."

What was taking so long, didn't they know how much blood there was? Organ damage, so many organs in the side of the body.

"S...sorry." His eyes fell closed and Sherlock scowled, a burst of rage pushing to the surface.

"John. John, don't sleep. Do you hear me, you can't sleep. John? JOHN!"

The bleeding was slowing, not spurting out so heavily through the scarf--so dark it was hard to tell when the scarf ended and John began. "Bleeding's stopping, John. That's good, that's better, the bleeding stopping is good. You'll be fine, they'll be here in a moment, you'll be in the hospital and I'll shout but you'll be fine. John, you--John?" It was quiet, why was it so quiet? There should be raspy gasping sounds, wrong, but-- "John?"

"John." A sob welled up, brutal and half a scream. "Please!"

But there was no answer.

Reprompt - John Watson is Sebastian Moran's son

(Anonymous) 2015-02-17 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
For whatever reason, Moran brings his five year old son to Moriarty's place and asks his boss to babysit, or at least keep an eye on John. Moran knows this is a bad idea but he has no other choice.

Moriarty hates kids, so at first he just ignores John. But when adorable and lovable John starts to ask questions and praising Moriarty for his clever answers, Moriarty can't help but to fall in love with the little guy. When Moran comes back to pick John up, Moriarty demands Moran to bring John again as many times as possible.

Bonus: Moriarty also brings John to his meetings with his clients. When one of his clients, a pedophile, starts looking at John the wrong way, Moriarty and Moran go all protective and badass, torturing the hell out of the pedophile. Oblivious!wee!John is oblivious.

Fan art prompt: Sherlock wearing men's cashmere mini dress (see link)

[identity profile] ourdramaqueen.livejournal.com 2015-02-17 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I just saw this: Dare to Wear: Men’s Cashmere Mini Dress (https://www.yahoo.com/style/dare-to-wear-mens-cashmere-mini-dress-111200055888.html) and immediately thought, "Benedict could totally pull this off." Soooo... any fan artist feel inspired to make a photo manip/drawing/painting of Sherlock wearing something like that? Pwetty pwease with a skull on top?! :) I'm sure John would appreciate the view passively or actively. *cough* Of course, if any of you writers feel inspired, don't hold back either!

(Full disclosure: Also prompted over at the sherlockbbc community Monday Prompts (http://sherlockbbc.livejournal.com/6429652.html) post, but since things are very slow over there, I thought I'd post here too. I hope that's okay.)

John/Sherlock. Past John/Mary. Wedding.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-17 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
John and Mary divorce, but become friends (maybe not right away, but maybe they part on friendly terms from the start, it's up to you). They share friendship and custody of their little girl.

Next time John is getting married, it is to Sherlock... With Mary as his best (wo)man. She's happy for John and wants him to have a great wedding, so she makes sure of it. Lestrade can be Sherlock's best man. And Janine can be Sherlock's bride's (or rather groom's) maid and is amused about it.

A secular wedding is highly preferable.

Bonus: Sherlock is a drama queen, as John has established, and even more so during his own wedding. He's nervous and maybe it shows.

MorMor, Sebastian keeps contact to his family

(Anonymous) 2015-02-18 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Sebastian is still on very good terms with his family, or at least parts of it, although they don't know he's a murderous criminal. Jim finds the insistence on Christmas dinners at home so peculiar for a man like Sebastian he agrees to play along to meet the parents(/siblings/grandparents).

AU: Sherlock is a reference librarian

(Anonymous) 2015-02-18 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't even know where I'd go with this, but I love the mental image of Sherlock abusing everyone who doesn't know the dewey decimal system or has stupid research questions.

Lawyer AU

(Anonymous) 2015-02-18 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I just love the image of Sherlock becoming a lawyer instead of a consulting detective. Up to the prompted how this came about. John can be another lawyer(AU meeting with Mike Stamford taking a different role???) or a client. Take the idea and run with it, add as many characters as you like.

3rded!
Can you see them being awkward about it?

Captcha says "poly's cracker". I feel this does not bode well.

Sebastian kills himself after the Fall. Jim watches it the whole time.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-19 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so I know it's been done a lot of times but I've never seen it from Jim's POV. Basically, Jim monitors Seb and watches him break down and kill himself.

BONUS POINTS: His breakdown takes a long time..

TRIPLE BONUS POINTS: Seb's been battling depression on and off his entire life and Jim knows he's 'risky'.

John dies because of Sherlock. Sherlock hires Mary to kill him. Angst. Suicide. PossibleTorture.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-19 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock gets himself into a dangerous game, but, hey, it's a mystery! He becomes careless, only wishing to solve the mystery despite the risks. His carelessness nearly costs him his life, but, instead of him, it's John who dies in order to protect him.

Sherlock is in denial and then devastated for a long time. He realises that, whatever he does, he can't cope. Nothing is interesting anymore. Not only John is dead, but Sherlock is the one to blame, because it could've been avoided. But there's no turning back, no time machine, no 'undo' button. Sherlock had been away for two years, thinking he was protecting John, only to lose him some time later, just because Sherlock was too intrigued by a case. Bonus points if Sherlock was in love with John. Buckets of angst are totally welcome.

He knows that Mary hates him now. She'll never see her husband again, and her little girl will never see her daddy again, either.

Sherlock hires Mary to kill him. Maybe at first she refuses, but somehow he convinces her. Maybe she agrees partly out of pity, but he can also offer her something she needs to stay safe. Maybe he asks her to kill him slowly (he has seen the memory stick and knows what she's capable of), so it's not just a suicide, but a self-punishment, too. But I don't mind if he wants a quick, quiet death. He makes sure no harm will come to her for killing him (incl. from Mycroft).

They pick a day. Sherlock gets himself presentable, finishes some old cases, visits John's grave, has his last dinner (I don't mind if it's a quiet dinner with Mary).

And then Mary does her job. She's good at it, as usual. Everything's welcome, even an extreme torture. Mary sticks to their plan even if he asks her to, please, finally kill him when the pain gets just too much (if he wanted to be killed slowly, of course). She knows how to keep him alive for as long as it's required, according to their agreement.

My Fair Lady AU (Mystrade)

(Anonymous) 2015-02-19 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
(only basic knowledge of the play/musical required, possibly not even that)

Mycroft and his posh (uni?) friends discuss the importance of proper upbringing and behaviour, and how without the right manners and right way of speaking, one can't expect to do well in life. One of them says something about it all being a case of being born in the right family, the other that it's all a case of proper training and he'd be able to train any person their age to act like one of them within few months.

One thing leads to the other and the bet is made. They're gonna test this theory with one Greg Lestrade, the boy around their age, who lives in town and is as far from high class as one could probably get. Mycroft and one of his peers, who advocated for it all being the case of training, will make Greg into a gentleman before the ending of the semester and introduce him in some high class party, and they will win the bet, if everyone is fooled into believing that Greg is as posh as any other attendant.

On the way, of course, Mycroft starts to find Greg far more fascinating than he expected and between his blooming feelings and Greg's final rebelion against being a performing monkey, things get kinda complicated. And far more interesting.

tl;dr: Mycroft trains Greg to pass as posh gentleman. And falls for him, while he's at it.

BONUS POINTS:

- Sherlock helping/being one of the first to judge Greg's progress,
- The influence not being one sided and Greg changing Mycroft as well in some ways,
- If you use any of the Grègoire Dante Lestrade's headcanons (here, have a link (http://protect-victortrevor.tumblr.com/post/93615343134/greg-being-half-spanish-and-half-french))
