Prompting Part XXXVI

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

Mycroft/? first time - pet names

(Anonymous) 2015-02-12 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
In the throes of passion and ONLY in the throes of passion, Mycroft blurts out the most ridiculous pet names for his lover. Smoochikins, Plum Pudding, Cuddle Fox, and so fort. First time sex between Mycroft and a lover who is doing his/her best not to laugh too hard.

Sherlock Gets Left Out.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-12 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
First time prompting here, sorry if there's any mistakes.

I can't get the image out of my head of Sherlock getting invited over to John and Mary's to meet their baby, it's a few weeks/months old (up to filler) and he hasn't met it yet. In fact he's barely seen John since the birth of the baby, only receiving a few texts from him with updates about the baby.
Sherlock reluctantly goes over to the Watson house to find that they're having a baby shower type thing and everyone has come round to officially meet baby Watson. Greg, Molly, Mrs Hudson etc have turned up as well as a few of John and Mary's friends. John greets Sherlock at the door and asks him to stay after everyone has left because he wants to talk to him, before leaving him to mingle with everybody else.
But like at the wedding, Sherlock see's everyone else has someone to talk to and they're all happy doing so, there's no-one for him to talk to, he's left to his own devices surrounded by all these people, just like at the wedding.
But Sherlock tries to stay for a bit, because John does want to talk to him later, even if he isn't talking to him now, but he can't do it. He's alone again, seeing everybody happy without him, they've all got someone and he's forgotten about. So he figures that he's just not needed anymore, that John's going to tell him later that he can't go on cases anymore because of the baby etc. He's done his duty as John's friend now, brought him back from his PTSD when they first met, saved his life at Reichenbach, and now that John's got his wife and child, he's just not needed, confirming what he said at the wedding.
With that he sneaks out of the house and goes home, completely unnoticed by everyone in the house until everyone has left. Then John realises that Sherlock left, but can't remember him saying goodbye or anything. He's saddened by that because he was planning on asking Sherlock to be the godfather to his and Mary's baby after everybody left.
It's up to the filler where they go from there, if they want to leave it there, that's fine, but I'm up for happier endings too, as long as Sherlock leaves the party thinking that he's not needed in John's life anymore and nobody notices.
The angstier the better with this too please, I want it to be heart-wrenchingly painful, possibly tears worthy too if filler wants it to be.
Bonus points if Sherlock has Aspergers and finds it difficult to make conversation, hence his reluctance to go and talk to Greg and co.
Extra bonus points if Sherlock is in love with John and has been terrified of losing him completely to the baby every since he found out Mary was pregnant.

johnlock d/s punishment, safewording

(Anonymous) 2015-02-12 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Dom!John and Sub!Sherlock (I would prefer not d/s universe, but if that's where this takes you I certainly shan't stop you...)

Sherlock has done something very very much not good (used drugs, put himself in unnecessary danger, gone to confront a murderer alone) and so John decides to punish him, rather severely. He takes Sherlock's constant denials as further proof of his wrong doing (lying and trying to get out of his punishment).

Only it turns out Sherlock really is innocent this time. He is genuinely distressed that John won't listen to him and although he maybe at first tries to take the punishment but can't do it and safewords out. John stops, of course, but is still rather pissed off, but this is the point he discovers Sherlock is telling the truth (checks Sherlock's phone, sees he did send many messages for assitance that just never got through, mesaage saying his drug tests are clear, whatever)

John is distraught at what he was doing to Sherlock but Sherlock is also very forgiving. John stopped as soon as he safeworded. Aftercare and comfort for both of our bys.

Trauma, age regression

(Anonymous) 2015-02-13 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Re-prompted from the last part.

All I want is traumatized, age-regressed John being cared for by Sherlock. I want Sherlock tucking him back in with his teddy after he's had a nightmare. I want a it-doesn't-get-better where Sherlock's still staying with his friend.

Tear my heart out.

An old friend

(Anonymous) 2015-02-13 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock introduces Sally as an old friend. And he says he´s only got one. But what if she is? What if she´s the only one he trusts cause he knows John (and later Mary) works for Moriarty and chooses to live with him anyway cause it´s the only way to bring Moriarty down?

And what if Sally only tries to get John away from Sherlock because she actually fears for Sherlock?

( if John knowingly works for Moriarty is your choice, maybe he´s like a sleeper agent triggered by a certain thing?)

Run wild please!

John/Sherlock - Tickling

(Anonymous) 2015-02-13 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock has a habit of shoving or tapping John with his foot whenever John is near and Sherlock wants something from him.

John decides to make him regret where he puts his feet. A hectic fight ensues!

Artist! Moriarty

(Anonymous) 2015-02-13 12:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Jim's an artist. He's still a criminal mastermind, painting's just one of his outlets. And it's useful in forgeries. Sebastian's his favourite subject but he is freaking POSSESSIVE of the portraits, doesn't let even the sniper see them.

Sebastian sees them anyway. Maybe he orders them destroyed after his death, or he gets transported to the future when Jim's only remembered as an artist. Just, anything.

BONUS POINTS; Sebastian loves art. So much he'll flat out refuse to destroy a museum.

TRIPLE BONUS POINTS: The paintings aren't beautiful, just really..raw and intense.

stupidly sweet Mycroft and Sherlock (no incest)

(Anonymous) 2015-02-13 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Could I please have some brotherly love with zero sexual over tones. Them helping each other, getting past their defenses. Something causes them both to cool down a bit and try seeing things from the others view.

Gen or Any; John questioning Sherlock's Past (warning: child abuse)

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
John is absolutely shocked when he learned about Sherlock's parents. Not just because Sherlock still actually has parents in his life, but because they seem like normal, loving parents.

Because John is Sherlock's doctor. He has seen his medical scans, his x-rays, and his scars. He's seen them multiple times in multiple emergency and non-emergency situations. And as a doctor, he recognizes marks left by prolonged and extreme physical abuse, marks that (again, as a doctor) he can date to having happened throughout Sherlock's childhood from a very young age up to adulthood. Marks that could not have been faked, self inflicted, or accidental.

They've never discussed this. And up to then, John just sort of assumed his immediate family had to be to blame. It wasn't his place to pry or ask questions. But now...

How did Sherlock get those marks? Was it his parents? Someone else? Did his parents know what was going on? Does Sherlock's past abuser still have access to him? That, John really wants to know.

Note: feel free to interpret the reason for Sherlock's marks in any way you care to, EXCEPT don't make John's assessment false: the marks aren't faked, self inflicted, or accidental and they were inflicted over a long period of time from a very young age. They are marks of actual abuse that did happen; who did it, type of abuse, and why it was so prolonged (particularly if the parents are completely innocent) is entirely up to you.

slow build

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
John and Mary manage to repair their relationship and a few years after HLV, they are happily married and in love. But then, Mary dies. John is devastated and pulls through only thanks to Sherlock's help and support. He doesn't start dating until a few years later and only casually because no one can ever replace Mary in his heart, and eventually gives up on it completely, finding happiness in his stable friendship with Sherlock. Slowly though, achingly slowly, their relationship progresses into something more, and finally, years after Mary's death, they become a couple.

Even though Sherlock's well into his forties now (or even fifties, if you prefer), it's his first relationship. He'd never felt any interest in anyone until John, and he's been in love with John for years but never believed his feelings could be returned. Even after they get together, Sherlock is convinced John doesn't love him nearly as much as he loved Mary.

TL;DR, extremely slow relationship progression and insecure!Sherlock.

(It's up to you what happens with the baby in this scenario.)

Valentine's Day Prompt

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thinking about it, John realised that waking up on Valentine's day with Sherlock Holmes in his bed really wasn't going to do much to dispel any rumours about his sexuality. But right now, he really did not care."

Expand from that :P
(How they come to be sharing a bed, whether it be platonic or romantic,, first time or established relationship is entierly up to you)

John/Sherlock. Dub-Con. Drunk John seduces virgin!Sherlock.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Unlike his sister, John isn't into alcohol. But he meets his army mates and gets very drunk with them. When he comes back home, he gets into an amorous mood and persistently tries to seduce Sherlock, basically cornering him. There are sloppy kisses, drunk, dirty talk that makes Sherlock blush. At first Sherlock tries to stop John, but then he gives in (he's had feelings for John for a long time). John takes him (no rape, please) and then they fall asleep together (or at least John falls asleep, but won't let Sherlock leave his embrace. And maybe Sherlock is too shocked to try).

And then the morning comes... Well, the rest is up to you, but I prefer happy johnlock in the end.

Irene/Sherlock. Dark, manipulative!Irene, young Sherlock. Underage, Dub-/Non-Con. Age Difference.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Irene is an adult, experienced woman; she's also a real, professional dominatrix, but sometimes (maybe very rarely) she becomes a sexual predator when she sees an interesting victim. And somehow she meets Sherlock (who can be 12-14 y.o.), clever, but still possible and rather interesting to manipulate.

So she starts grooming the shy child (maybe she has never had someone this young), and then there's inappropriate touching, and, eventually, he becomes her sub, but, unlike her regular subs with whom she uses a proper BDSM etiquette, this is different. She also has sex with him (I prefer no traditional sex at all. If she fingers him and otherwise plays with his bum, and also penetrates him with a strap-on, I'll love you forever).

I prefer clever, manipulative Irene, who uses mind-games (and wins), rather than a mindless monster.

Any Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's fans out there?

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Would love to see an AU where everyone has Stands, if you are familiar with the concept (if not, http://jojo.wikia.com/wiki/Stand)

Any plot/pairings you like. I'm a particular to Johnlock but anything's fine, really.

Lestrade's Valentine's Day (With bonuses for John and Sherlock's day)

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Just give me anything with Lestrade spending Valentine's Day with his family or alone. Mystrade shippers(or anyone really) could do their pairing if they want but I'm just going for Lestrade (fluff?).
Bonuses for Sally being in the fic at some point(The Yarders all all spending Valentine's differently?) and maybe Sherlock's aversion to Valentine's Day cropping up. If Lestrade is feeling lonely, perhaps he and Sherlock end up spending some (bromantic?) time in the flat where Sherlock acts like it's any other day and bends over his experiments and Lestrade just sits on the couch with a beer.
Up to the filler what John's doing. Johnlock is optional. It can be post-season three and John and Mary are spending the day together or maybe it's pre-season three and he's got the day off work/is around the flat/spending the day with a girlfriend (and maybe said girlfriend dumps him and he goes back to the flat if you want to be cruel).

Another bonus: Someone gets caught in traffic/lines.
Major bonus IF doing Johnlock: John struggles with the chip and pin machines again while trying to fight his way through the lines. Seriously, all he wants is to get Sherlock something nice and small, chocolates maybe, even if the man himself doesn't like Valentine's.

Three Garridebs-esque scene. Sherlock, John, Moran, Moriarty. Johnlock or not

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Moran is holding John, and Sherlock is unrestrained but held at gunpoint. Moriarty says the canonical quote “I wanted to end the world, but I’ll settle for ending yours.” to Sherlock, before giving Moran the command. Moran then plunges a knife into John, making it as slow and painful as possible. John tries to stay stoic, as Sherlock is looking right at him, but fails. They make sure Sherlock sees everything. Moran removes the knife. and after John has bled out a sufficient amount, to the point of being past (or really close to past) saving, he drops him. John falls like a rag doll. Moran and Moriarty say a few more things, stalling for time, and keeping Sherlock from being able to help John. Finally they stroll away, casual and confident, because they know Sherlock won’t come after them. Sherlock rushes to John’s side. John, a self-sacrificing pessimist to the end, tells Sherlock to go after them. Don’t worry about him, he’s beyond saving. But of course Sherlock doesn’t go.

I don't care if it's requited or unrequited Johnlock, or platonic, or whatever. Just make it angsty!

Sharing a bed - Preslash

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
I know it's been done before but it's almost always with Sherlock hogging the bed, the bed covers and cuddling John in his sleep, and John not wanting to share a bed and finding Sherlock's restless behaviour difficult to sleep through.

But John was in the army, he'd have shared bunks and hammocks with army mates. Have you seen soldiers sleeping on planes? They loll all over each other. And John will have slept besides plenty of his girlfriends in bed, and they wouldn't have all been calm sleepers.

So I'd like to see John realising they only have one bed and shrugging it off. He's slept in worse places, at least this has a mattress. It's Sherlock that isn't used to sharing a bed with anyone. He sleeps on the very edge of the bed, worries about any movement he makes disturbing John and falling asleep and doing something "wierd" in his sleep that John will make fun of him for.

Luckily, John makes it all ok in the end.

Bonus if the situation lasts a few nights and Sherlock really, really needs to sleep because the preceding case was a long one, but sharing a bed is stressing him out too much for him to sleep peacefully, if at all.

A/B/O Sherlock and Sally friendship

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
Along with Sally's normal role of a police officer, Sally is a registered First Heat councillor.

Anyone outside the normal age range for first heats are designated a First Heat councillor for the health and safety of the omega. They're always betas. They comfort the omega through their first heat and they keep any predator alphas away from the omega. They make sure the omega eats enough and monitor fluid output to ensure the omega is healthy.

It is against the law to knowingly leave an omega to their own devices if you know it's their first heat and they are outside the normal age range.

Sally has been designated to Sherlock, and Sherlock has fought her every step of the way, out of pride, embarrassment and just to be contrary. One night between cases, John calls her FHC phone. Sherlock is showing signs of a first heat.

John/Greg + Sherlock's reaction

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
During the time that Sherlock is "dead", John and Greg become a lot closer and eventually end up as a couple. Sherlock returns and is faced with the rare instance of not having seen something coming.

Valentines

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
When John comes home he finds a small gift addressed to Sherlock but no note from whom it is. Sherlock seems to know whom its from and proceeds to panic: he has forgotten Valentines day and his gift.

John follows Sherlock searching his gift and the detective placing it anonymously in front of a door. Curious he slips Sherlock to see who its from and gets a surprise: Sally.

Possible John/Sherlock. John goes to prison for Sherlock and regrets nothing.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Another clever (or maybe just very dangerous and psychotic, and therefore unpredictable) criminal appears in John and Sherlock's life. Things are getting pretty bad. John love games and case-solving with Sherlock, we all know he does, but he can see that Sherlock's life (and maybe Sherlock's sanity, too) really is in danger. Maybe Sherlock gets hurt or nearly dies to boot. They have faced plenty of life-threatening situations, but this time John knows he needs to act immediately to eliminate the threat before it's too late (I don't mind if it has something to do with TRF experience).

He finds the baddie and kills them. Unfortunately, for some reason, it's impossible to cover up. There's plenty of evidence and witnesses, too.

So John calmly goes to jail. Sherlock is heartbroken. He tries to pull all possible strings to get John out, maybe even goes as far as to beg for Mycroft's help. Alas, the case has made a lot of noise, so nothing saves John from at least several years in jail. He's killed a person/people in cold blood and planned it beforehand. Maybe there are a lot of people out there who justify John's actions and see his point clearly. But the law is the law.

Mycroft can arrange their meetings sometimes though. But, mostly, they just write to each other and the letters mean the world to the both of them. I would really love John/Sherlock! But I prefer no pre-established relationship.

Just, please, PLEASE, no woobie!John, poor, abused John or anything of that sort. John is a strong person and perfectly level-headed in dangerous situations, so I've got no doubt he can survive the prison. He knows he's there, because he's made the right choice and he never regrets it, because it saved Sherlock's life, like he knew it would.

Maybe he takes a scared, first-time-imprisoned, has-made-wrong choices, young man (or two) under his wing (I don't mean anything sexual. Just John being nice and protective), and, otherwise, just settles in, since he's got no choice until he gets out.

[Crossover With Kingsman] Mycroft is jealous of Harry's umbrella

(Anonymous) 2015-02-16 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Saw Kingsman The Secret Service today. I love Harry's arsenal of weapons which includes his rainmaker that deflects bullets and has a shotgun and stun feature. Mycroft carries an ordinary umbrella and he's utterly jealous. He's not a Kingsman, so he can't have one no matter how hard he tries.

Bonus points if Mycroft is sulking but hiding it badly.

Johnlock size difference

(Anonymous) 2015-02-16 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
IMMA JUST GONNA LAY IT OUT THERE I FREAKING LOOOVEEE JOHBLOCK SIZE DIFFERENCE!!!

Okay? Okay. I like it more than the chemistry and the tension. Don't judge me.
There's a photo of John passing Sherlock his mobile and it's my favourite thing in the world.

Soo.. Can anyone please, please write a fic just exploring this? Plotty, pwp, or just the hands thing and Sherlock thinking about it. Doesn't matter, please write this?

Crossover with Kingsman. Spoilers for Kingsman: The Secret Service.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-17 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
So, I saw Kingsman: the Secret Service today, and... I couldn't stop thinking 'MYCROFT!' through the entire movie, especially when Harry was being BAMF with the brolly. So:

Since they're based on the Arthurian Legend of the Round Table. They need to have a Guinevere, if only to cause tensions between Arthur and Lancelot (dis is probably why Lancelot keeps dying? Cos I mean, Lancelot was dead at the start of the movie, which is why they were replacing him. Then he dies again near the start of the movie, hence why they're once more replacing him. So...). Anyway. They'll need a Guinevere, and since the titles are unisex (e.g. Lancelot is a woman) Guinevere can be a man. Guinevere is the only one who can talk to Arthur (outside of the Round Table) and expect him/her to listen to her/him SOME of the time.

So here is the actual prompt: Mycroft is Guinevere. That's why Sherlock finds it amusing when they're at Buckingham Palace and John asks if they're there to see the Queen and Sherlock answers 'Apparently, yes', because Guinevere is the Queen. It also totally fits with why Mycroft carries that bloody Brolly around with him everywhere, and why he's always wearing a suit, even when he goes home to his parents house for Christmas. So I want BAMFY Mycroft complaining about Legwork and being frustrated because he and Arthur are having a bit of a lover's spat (doesn't need to actually be in a relationship with Arthur, would prefer Mycroft with Lestrade) and Lancelot is, once again, dead.

TL;DR: Mycroft is Guinevere. Tada.

(also, I think Mycroft is drunk, he just told me 'srrew driver'. Put the alcohol down, honey, it's time for bed...)

Reprompt - John Watson is Sebastian Moran's son

(Anonymous) 2015-02-17 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
For whatever reason, Moran brings his five year old son to Moriarty's place and asks his boss to babysit, or at least keep an eye on John. Moran knows this is a bad idea but he has no other choice.

Moriarty hates kids, so at first he just ignores John. But when adorable and lovable John starts to ask questions and praising Moriarty for his clever answers, Moriarty can't help but to fall in love with the little guy. When Moran comes back to pick John up, Moriarty demands Moran to bring John again as many times as possible.

Bonus: Moriarty also brings John to his meetings with his clients. When one of his clients, a pedophile, starts looking at John the wrong way, Moriarty and Moran go all protective and badass, torturing the hell out of the pedophile. Oblivious!wee!John is oblivious.
