GUIDELINES

Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

Well, no one could blame them. After all, that fateful night happened to be one of those days in Hogwarts where preparations for OWLS and NEWTS (as well as for the equally anticipated and dreaded Triwizard Tournament) left everyone - from the students to the professors themselves, exhausted and utterly famished upon its wake. So it was no surprise the Great Hall was packed as if it was Start-of- Term feast all over again, excluding the sorting hat and the headmaster’s traditional welcoming speech.

The general talk of the evening was nothing but a recap of the day’s events. Sure, there were gossips here and there - as present as they will ever be, not to mention a fair share of complaints with regards to certain professors, however diminutive in number.

But it was the latter, the often common and almost insignificant topic, that Neville found himself engaged with his friends at the edge of the Gryffindor table. He riveted his gaze towards the first year student sitting across the table, Natalie McDonald, who was now expressing her newly discovered sentiments of hate regarding a certain potions professor.

“Ugh! I don’t get it Hermione!” She whined towards the girl her three years her senior with resignation. “Ten points? That’s so unfair!”
Ron, who sat between Neville and Harry, reached a hand across the table and tried to console the half sobbing brunette, ending up awkwardly patting her arm. Harry on the other hand, shook his head in understanding and leaned closer, his arms crossed against each other.

“There’s nothing fair with Snape. At all.” He said as if it was one of Five Principal Exceptions to Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration which he learned as of today (Thanks Hermione, like we need more proof that food don’t come out of thin air) yet didn’t bother to remember at all.

Because unlike some brilliant witches who read advance transfiguration books just for the knack of it, he’d like to stick to the basics and practicality, thank you very much. And with Pettigrew on the run and Voldemort apparently planning his second return, he thought it was more than enough troubles for a life time.

But it was pretty obvious, even for a blubbering idiot on how much contempt and hate the mere name of Snape can hold. And as if he read his mind, Ron nodded towards Harry in agreement before adding, “Though to be honest, Neville’s got it much worse.”

As if on cue, all of their heads turned towards Neville, who at the moment felt very small in his seat. Ron’s lopsided grin soon vanished as he suddenly felt sick on his stomach, feeling much worse than the effects of the ‘Eat slugs’ curse that backfired two years ago.

“Uhm yes, I…guess so.” Neville stammered in reply, though giving him a small reassuring smile afterwards that meant no harm was taken. The pale redhead visibly relaxed and smiled in return, silently thanking his unknown lucky stars.

“Oh which reminds me,” Neville casted Hermione a sombre expression. “Sorry ‘Mione. Merlin, I know it’s long overdue but I guess better late than never, eh?” He chuckled nervously.

“What do you mean, Neville?” Hermione wondered aloud, her brows furrowing. She was obviously confused. And though she made a quick mental flashback on what incident could he possibly apologizing for, nothing came up.

Neville felt his face turn red, the small slice of tomato at the edge of his dinner plate managing to feel smug despite its inanimateness.

“You know, last year at Potions…the one with Trevor?”

Hermione’s eyes comically widen in realization. Oh.
“Honestly Neville, that was like a year ago! It was nothing really.”

“Besides, you got your payback afterwards…. though indirectly of course.” Seamus interjected, who was two seats away from them. Was he listening to their conversation the whole time? Neville realized he didn’t want to know.

“Oh yeah! Blimey, I’d never forget that day.” Ron said with a maniacal grin. “Ah, the mental image of Snape, sorry boggart of Snape,” he corrected himself at the scrutiny of Hermione’s pointed glare, “in Neville’s grandmum’s posh coat and ridiculous green hat burns .”

Natalie’s “What –” was interrupted by the nearby Patil twin’s spontaneous shout of “Ridiculous!” (A coincidence really, as it was their loud reaction on some juicy gossip.)

Nevertheless, it was soon followed by scattered chuckles and knowing shakes of head around the table. Maybe it’s an inside joke of some kind , Natalie heard her puzzled classmates say in hushed whispers.

“Sorry, who’s Trevor?” Ginny apparently, was not the only one confused.

“Neville’s toad.” Hermione said, answering for Neville.

“Oh! Nice name.” Natalie cooed.

Neville snorted. “Not nice pet.”“But it led me to them.” Hermione countered, pointing towards Ron and Harry.

Ron gave Hermione a pointed look. “Not good first impression though. Bit annoyed at her showing off but I learned better.”

She shrugged but not before giving him a light slap on his arm which Ron reacted with a startled yelp. “I guess the friendship officially started, if you must say, around Halloween, right Harry?”
Harry nodded, talking a long swig of his juice. “Right! I’d love to tell you Natalie right now, but it’s a long story.”

“Still not a nice pet.” Neville insisted.

“At least Trevor’s a decent name,” Ron retorted. “…unlike Pig, that stupid little feathery git.”

“Hey! Pigwidgeon’s a cute name!” Ginny protested, about to stand up from her seat.

Ron ignored his silently fuming sister, opting to lean closer as long as long as the table permitted while dropping a conspiratorial voice. “Tried to change it but the stubborn owl wouldn’t budge. Bit of an insult really.”

Giving a side glance at Harry, he added. “Hedwig would probably agree with me. Trust me; she’s much better than Pig in all sense of the word.”

Harry’s face brightened at the mention of his beloved pet snow owl. Natalie seemed to take all the information quietly, before remarking, “Hedwig’s a nice name too.”

“She’s a gift from Hagrid on my eleventh birthday. Found her name somewhere in A History of Magic . I thought it’d suit her well.”

“It did.” Ginny said grinning, and blushed when Harry smiled in return.
