You good with pre-canon? Sherlock's parents not being mean exactly, just busy and in over their heads with two genius boys (sort of like George & Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins). I have some ideas regarding Sherlock's backstory and this sounds like a good prompt to help flesh them out.
