YES! WE NEED MORE SOULMATE AU FICS!

And yes! Johnriarty would definitely be a very good twist since I've read a lot (and possibly all) of Soulmate AU fics (because who would'nt?)that depict Johnlock.

Though for curiosity purposes I checked Ariane DeVere's amazing accurate transcript and found out John's first words to Jim (in the scene where he pretends to be gay) is actually "John Watson. Hi." aka literally the soul mate's name. So yeah, whoever has the good soul to fill this ever decides to take a Johnriarty angle must take note that Moriarty probably knew his soulmate's identity and had probably researched him in advance. Oh, and that would be so cool if he eventually finds out beforehand John Watson's the flatmate AND friend of his nemesis - OF ALL PEOPLE. Well that is, if the filler decides to follow the timeline.

Oh and another thing, Jim's first words (or rather word) to John is "Hi." So that would be a cool angle to explore (possibly angst) that John fell into despair of never finding his soulmate's identity because of all word/s for a clue, what he got was the standard opening greeting.

Okay, enough of the rant but thought I'd just have a little heads up. But no matter if it's Johnlock, Johnriarty or any ship; my answer's still the same - SECONDED!

When they got home, Sherlock went to the sofa immediately and curled up, his eyes closed. John brought tea and sat next to him. (His steps were curious, bordering on worried; he only made one cup of tea; was he going out–?) “Sherlock,” he murmured.

The way he said Sherlock’s name made the detective’s will crumble and he leaned toward the other a bit. “Hug me,” he mumbled, his forehead against his knees.

John didn’t sound offended or disgusted, but Sherlock didn’t risk repeating himself. “Nothing,” he muttered as he leaned away again. The next thing he knew, he’d been wrapped in warm, strong arms and there was a cheek against his hair. He froze but gradually relaxed with a quiet sigh.

“Is this what you’ve been needing?” John asked. He sounded a touch amused.

Sherlock considered lying before deciding against it. He nodded a little, not wanting to shift and make John move.

“You’re a ridiculous git, you know that?” The older man laughed quietly, but the sound wasn’t mocking.

“What do you mean?”

“You could have /asked/ like a normal person would. Is this why you’ve been so tense lately? Have you been getting /any/ physical contact?” Sherlock nodded to the first question but chose not to answer the second. “Jesus, Sherlock. Why didn’t you ask?”

Sherlock opened his mouth, excuses such as John’s claim of not being gay, the fact that it was just transport acting up, and his image as a cold detective bubbling up. They didn’t get further than that. “Unnecessary,” he finally murmured, closing his eyes to memorise the sensation.

“Apparently it’s quite necessary.”

“It won’t happen again.”

John paused before shifting a little, which made Sherlock cringe. Was he pulling away? No. John tugged Sherlock’s arms up and wrapped them around himself before hugging him again. “Well, if you’re sure you won’t want help again, best make it a good one.” The doctor rested his cheek against Sherlock’s shoulder now that Sherlock was taller than him again. “You know I don’t mind this, right?”

Sherlock blinked and looked down at John, confused. “But you aren’t…”

Amusement shone in John’s eyes. “Doesn’t mean I’m so insecure I’ll say no to a hug or a cuddle.” He squeezed Sherlock a bit. “Especially when my best friend needs it. If I asked you, you’d be okay with hugging me. Yeah?”

“Yes,” Sherlock answered, a bit hesitant. “But that’s different. You’re not… You…”

“I’m not what?” John gave Sherlock a look. “The world’s only consulting detective?” Apparently Sherlock’s silence was enough of a clue that John took the guess a step further. “You think this is going to ruin your image.” Sherlock gave a terse nod. After a moment that made his muscles tense, he heard John laugh. “Silly bugger.”

He couldn’t see Sherlock’s answering smile, but there was no way he didn’t feel the way Sherlock relaxed against him as they stayed close together for the rest of the evening.

Series of events
>Lestrade went to France to visit family were he only spoke in French.
>Back in England he’s trying to get back into the habit of speaking in English again (and English accent).
>Sherlock keeps seamlessly switching into French when talking to him which results in Lestrade switching without him noticing.

To the casual observer, life at Baker Street continues on, unaltered after that night. Sherlock still gets indecently happy over morbid affairs and performs experiments with human body parts on the kitchen table, and John follows behind, chastising him all the way. They never mention The Incident, both obstinately pretending it never happened, and Sherlock is fine with this. He doesn't want to have the conversation where John pats his hand sympathetically and tries to tactfully and delicately spare Sherlock's feelings; he'd much rather delete the encounter altogether, accept that his observations were incorrect, and move on.

The only problem with this, however, is that he simply can't, because he finds himself reviewing the facts over and over as he sits pensively in his chair, fingers steepled under his chin, and by all logical conclusions, John should have responded to his advances. Not only that, but responded well, responded with interest. Even Sherlock, who was no virtuoso when it came to social cues, could pick up on John's not-so-candid hints the night they first had dinner at Angelo's. And especially Sherlock couldn't help but notice how closely John watched him, followed him, and was unerringly, unquestioningly loyal to him to the bitter end. Sherlock goes over these facts again and again, trying to make sense of what he knows and what happened, but is unable to figure it out, so he files them away with other unsolved mysteries for the time being.

Luckily, (or perhaps unluckily), shortly after The Incident, Moriarty reappears on the scene with all the subtlety of an oncoming storm. Sherlock dives headfirst into the madness, grateful for the distraction. John becomes even more quiet and withdrawn, watching Sherlock even more closely and carefully, and spending many nights locked away in his bedroom. Sherlock assumes this is because he is harbouring some unresolved unease after being kidnapped and strapped with Semtex, because he supposes this is how a normal human being would react.

However, 'could be dangerous' doesn't count for nothing, and it's only when Sherlock summons Moriarty to the rooftop of Barts, that he realises exactly what it is about Moriarty that causes John to react so strongly, and it's not because John is embracing his own humanity. When Moriarty taunts him with photos of a much younger John, Sherlock initially scoffs and disregards them, until he sees one of John with his arm slung over a boy who is undoubtedly a much younger Moriarty. He scrolls through the photos on Moriarty's mobile, the damn thing still blaring some warbling absurdity by the Bee Gees. Photo after photo of young John and young Jim, and several other boys, all clearly intoxicated, in someone's living room as what looks like a porn film plays on a television in the background. The next few photos are of the group of boys in various states of undress, masturbating, and watching something presumably off screen. They have moved to someone's bedroom. Sherlock sneers in disgust.

It's only when he sees photos of a close up of someone's cock buried in someone else's arse that he starts to really feel uncomfortable, and the next photo only solidifies his feeling. It's a blurry picture of young John, thrust up between another boy's spread legs, his head thrown back, presumably in pleasure. The boy on the receiving end doesn't seem to have noticed current events, as his head is lolled back off the edge of the bed, and it looks like he, too, is intoxicated in one way or another.

AGAIN! Damn livejournal 4300 character limit! Is there a way around this? I feel like I've read fills here with much longer segments? Or maybe it just seems longer because I read on my iPad and post on my PC?

The next photo is the one that nearly drops Sherlock to his knees. It's a close-up of the boy being fucked, and the face is so very familiar, because it has been looking back at him every time he looks in the mirror. It is, in fact, the face of a much younger Sherlock, his hair a bit longer (because that was the style), and his face a bit gaunter (because of the drugs), but it is most certainly him that was being taken by John.

A quick scroll through the rest of the photos, and he sees that John was not the only person to have enjoyed Sherlock's arse (and mouth) that night. The worst is one of young Moriarty straddling Sherlock's unconscious face, cock buried deep in Sherlock's throat. He is turned to the camera, grinning, and Sherlock feels shame burn deep in the very pit of his stomach.

During a confrontation, Sherlock deduces that Moriarty has (some kind of) relationship with Moran. Sherlock is darkly amused, Jim very much not so, and Sebastian and John just want to be far away, possibly somewhere less awkward.

Such a heartbreak! So, John remembers the whole thing?.. I wonder for how long he's been aware that he shares the flat with his victim.

My headcannon for this is that it is the same 'verse as 'Beyond Repair' by tenderly_wicked (I posted a link above), and OH MY GOD, if you haven't read it yet, please give it a go: SO GOOD!. She writes of the aftermath of what participating (however unknowingly) in a gang rape did to John, and the moment he realised that the boy he raped was Sherlock, and errghhh, it killed me. She did give the okay to use that piece as an inspiration/prequel, so this is Sherlock figuring out what exactly happened to him... Which, again, if you read her piece, makes it all the more sad because of how she portrays him at the end. And sadly, as per requirements from OP in the prompt, there will be no happy ending :(

Someone said something about John visiting Sherlock and him tending the bees and them not stinging, but unrequitedBees/Sherlock is much more realistic.

Wasn’t really sure how to phrase this but gave it a try (also none of this is in any way okay):
Firstly: NO Non-Con, Physical Abuse, Verbal not loud or unsubtle try to keep it to little things that while effective sound silly when thinking about it later.

Mycroft is a very scary man and a control freak, who makes, to put it nicely, practical choices that influence a number of people and after finding her amusing and/or tolerable company decides he wants Molly.
And so starts Mycroft’s subtle campaign in gaining and keeping a goldfish apparently of their own free will.

Bonus
Remember this is Mycroft the guy who used CCTV cameras and random ringing phones just to freak John out in ‘A Study in Pink’.

Oh crap I think I may have misunderstood. Did you want Sherlock born like that/like that from before the time John met him? (I assume that's what John feeling guilty means. That Sherlock cured him, but was still disabled himself, and John felt guilty.)
Cause I sort of... didn't do that. Let me know.

(But otherwise, if you don't mind when the injury occurs, I sort of have 7k words already, and it's not done yet.)

This idea came to mind while looking for information for another prompt. And could also be done

Read that Psyche is the Goddess of the Soul for some reason that brought to mind Molly.
Do however, immortal goddess walking the Earth, reincarnation etc.

What if Sherlock and Mycroft were his brothers and Eddie really was really smart and the only real effect after tapering off NZT was it taught him how to focus and put all the pieces together?

As a brother: He did it as well as knowing FDR would watch for Tuck like they have for each other since meeting as kids and so Tuck could spend some time in the same country as his child.
