Prompting Part XXXV

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

This one! But it's about past noncon and has rake fantasy in it if those are triggers for you.

Re: inspired by a line in a fill that's just started a few pages back!

I was wanting more of a humour fic around that line since the fic that's original from is serious, and I'm loving it so far, but when I read that line, I just had an image of Lestrade turning up to crime scene after crime scene and feeling a bit down. More like how it's rained everyday for the past three weeks and you wake up thinking it's going to be sunny... And it's not. =(

But not crack though. Just a bit of humour.

Sherlock/John/Lestrade

Are in a D/s relationship and it's very happy. But one day, someone who has no right to, forces Sherlock down into subdrop in a non sexual way.

It goes unnoticed by John and Lestrade and Sherlock is too deep down, he isn't mentally capable of reaching out for help. Sherlocks first instincts are to hide anything wrong.

Then the three get together for a scene which is already too much for Sherlock and they get halfway through before John stops the scene for medical reasons on behalf of Sherlock.

Ok, take it from there.

So much cuteness.

Pet-play, castration play

(Anonymous) 2014-06-11 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Petplay. Usually Sherlock is John's prissy, papmered pet. He likes being stroked and coddled and sucking lazily on John's cock before maybe taking a nice nap in a warm sunbeam.

...unless he's bored. In which case he's an unholy nightmare who likes to push every boundary he can think of.

After a particularly frustrating and badly-behaved week, (everything from shredding the wallpaper to humping the furniture) John issues an ultimatum: That if Sherlock doesn't improve he's going to get his pet neutered to see if that sorts out his behaviour.

Smugly assuming it's an empty threat, and stroppy enough to keep pushing, Sherlock continues to misbehave.
Unimpressed, and fed up enough to prove a point, John goes ahead and 'does it'. Ties his pet down, gloves up and whips out his surgical kit...

Or at least that's how it appears.

Keeping him blindfolded and immobilised, John actually just coats Sherlock's balls in topical anesthetic gel and goes at him with the handle of a frozen teaspoon. The sensory input, however, provokes a reaction that is quite spectacular.

Bonus for John tightly bandaging up the 'wound' so when the blindfold comes off it still looks as if he really has just had his balls removed as punishment.

A much subdued, sad and sorry pet, Sherlock spends the rest of the evening curled mournfully in his master's lap, mitts on his hands to stop him pawing at the site of his 'surgery'.

Authoranon of the fic with the line in it:
Ah! OK. I like to throw in a bit of humor when it's a dark subject just to give a little wry smile and I thought at first you were saying it was jarring in a bad way, but it was jarring in a good way. (And I'm glad you like the other fic so far). Yeah if anyone wants to write something like that based off of it I'd read the hell outta it. Seconded from the source!

Uncle Rudy backstory

(Anonymous) 2014-06-11 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd love a fic that explored Rudy, the Holmes boys' cross-dressing uncle mntioned briefly in HLV. Maybe a flashback to how they found out? Or a present day convo about him that gives a little more info?

can be porny or not, your call.

OP Oh wow! Beautifully written, and just the kind of angst. I can't wait to see where you'll go with this.

John/Sherlock/Morarity - Soulmates

[identity profile] aubreykey.livejournal.com 2014-06-11 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Would love perhaps a story perhaps where the three are soul mates and John loves his geniuses but is worried that he'll end being to boring for them. Would love a story dealing with this fear and how he cares about them and is determined to enjoy the time he has with them before they decide he is boring and irrelevant. Would love if they realize this somehow or perhaps have someone point it out and the way they deal with John's fear.

Glad you liked it OP. If you want, I will let you know when my variation on this with the Mary who is redeemed and not so evil story is done? Lmk if you are interested.

Your Mycroft is fantastic, and everything about this is perfectly done.( Of course, I already thought you were awesome.)

Mycroft & Janine, anyone?

(Anonymous) 2014-06-11 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Haven't checked the meme yet today, so hopefully this wasn't just posted. That would just be my luck.

I'd love to see some Mycroft+Janine, either as friends or lovers. A slow-build relationship from casual acquaintances upwards would be awesome, but I'd be happy with a quickie if no one wants to get that involved in a fic.

Bonus: if they meet when Mycroft changes his mind & decides to attend the wedding after all or while both are visiting Sherlock in the hospital.

This! I want THIS!

Fill 1/?

[identity profile] lilylashes.livejournal.com 2014-06-12 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
The child's breathing was heavy and slow. Sherlock stroked its hair, surprised at how soft it was. He supposed it was high time he stopped referring to the child as 'it'... Or even 'the child', seeing as it - SHE - was now three years old.

'Arianna Watson,' Sherlock murmured for the first time ever, 'Do you ever look like you're father.'
*****
The child was four. And Sherlock was babysitting. And what's more: he wasn't doing a half-bad job.

'Now hand me those forceps,' he instructed the toddler, and was extremely pleased when she picked up exactly the right instrument. 'You clever girl. Just like your Daddy.'
*****
The child was five, and Sherlock was absolutely astounded at how very tightly she had him wrapped around her finger. What had started as John and Mary frantically searching for a babysitter and reluctantly asking Sherlock to fill in, had turned into a weekly thing. Every Tuesday and Thursday without fail, Sherlock showed up at Arianna's school and took her back to Baker Street until seven when her parents got off work. She was delighted by his experiments, and before she entered Year One, she was able to recite most of the periodic table. It was surprising, but quite nice. Sherlock found he was actually looking forward to the day she could accompany him to a crime scene, but John assured him it would be a very, very long time before that happened.

Today, Sherlock had been emotionally manipulated into taking the child to the park for the first time. He now understood why he'd been avoiding it for so long -- all those running, screaming, dirty children scattered all over the place. He could tell at a single glance that they were all far inferior to his Arianna.

From afar, he watched as another girl approached her, and observed them curiously. A few words were exchanged before the other girl skipped off, leaving Arianna in the sand pit looking crestfallen. Sherlock hurried over.

'What happened?' he demanded, instantly regretting his tone when he saw the child's eyes were filled with tears.

'Becky said that my shoes are ugly,' the girl replied, a pout and a waver in her voice that terrified the detective. Blood and guts he could handle; tears he could not. Arianna wiped her runny nose with the back of her hand, and continued, 'And she said my hair was ugly. I told her it wasn't my fault because you don't know how to braid or do bunches, but she just laughed at me and said all of me is ugly.'

Sherlock looked down at the girl, with her honey-coloured hair and dark blue eyes. He held out a hand, and grasped the girl's tightly when she put her hand in his, snot and sand be damned. He crouched down until they were eye level.

'You are very pretty,' he told her seriously, 'In fact, I think you might be one of the prettiest little girls I've ever met. Granted, I don't meet too many children in my line of work, but that's irrelevant. You will most definitely grow up to be very attractive and have lots and lots of boyfriends for your parents and I to run off.'

She giggled, and the crisis was averted.
*****
The child was five and a half, and had managed to convince three of the most formidable adults in London to take a walk out in the rain and splash in puddles on the sidewalk. She especially seemed to enjoy jumping into puddles near Sherlock because he would yelp like a wounded puppy and jump backwards to protect his precious coat.

John and Mary, on the other hand, seemed to be having more fun than Arianna herself. They scoped out the best puddles like a hunter would stalk its prey, laughing all the while. Arianna and Sherlock watched as John splashed Mary, and she kicked water back at him in return. He smiled and she smiled, and he put his arms around her. The girl looked up at Sherlock, her nose scrunched in disgust as her father planted a kiss on her mother's cheek. Sherlock was not smiling, a faraway look on his face.

'What's wrong, Uncle Sherlock?' she asked. He finally looked down at her, staring deep into her eyes. (John's eyes.) He sighed.

'Sometimes your father makes my heart hurt,' he replied before he could stop himself.

Arianna nodded seriously, and slipped her hand into his. They finished their walk in silence as John and Mary continued to laugh and play behind them.

Sally Donovan is the hero this time

(Anonymous) 2014-06-12 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
John and Sherlock are raising Baby Watson together. One night, their daughter disappears without a trace. Weeks pass by and Sherlock and John are frantically searching for any clues to their daughter's whereabouts, but all they have are a bunch of dead ends and false leads. All they know is that their daughter is in terrible danger, and Sherlock is having difficulty thinking clearly out of sheer panic.

Then, a breakthrough- Sally Donovan, who is now a DI, has been investigating a seemingly unrelated string of kidnappings and realizes that John's daughter is one of the victims.

I only ask that Donovan's insights remain integral to the investigation, and that she be a focal point of Baby Watson's eventual rescue (how that rescue turns out is up to you). She doesn't have to get along with Sherlock or even John, but she must be 100% dedicated to the safe return of their daughter! :)
