The Filling Fest Is Over. Thanks for everyone who participated!

Thanks to everyone who voted and shared their input. It really helped us figure out how things will go.

The fest will focus on prompts from Parts VI-VII (for those who want to fill prompts from the earlier days of the meme), and Parts XXIV-XXV (for those who want to revisit prompts from right after series two was aired. If you want to use the Filled Prompt Posts to browse through prompts, Part VI starts here, and Part XXIV starts here.

1. For the next three days, you can browse through those four parts and nominate prompts you’d like to see filled. Please include the full prompt and the link to the original prompt in your nomination. Those three days are for nominations only; don’t start posting your fills until this period is over.

2. After those three days, the nomination period will end and the filling period will begin. If you’re inspired by a nominated prompt, that’s great. If you prefer to look through those four parts and fill something that catches your eye, that’s great too. The filling period will last for two weeks.

3. All kinds of fills are welcome, as are multiple fills.

4. Anon posting is allowed, but not required.

5. Nominations without the link to the original prompt will be deleted. Same for nominations from parts other than VI, VII, XXIV and XXV.

6. Only post new fills that you haven’t posted anywhere before. If you have a WIP from one of those parts that’s gathering dust on your hard drive, it’s fine to post it, but only if you never started posting it.

7. Post your fill in this thread, but link to your fill in the original post (or in the Overflow post if the original post is full).

8. Please consider warning for triggery prompts (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful. Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

9. If you have questions, please ask in the appropriate thread in this post.

Prompt:
You know that part in The Red-Headed League where Holmes and Watson actually laugh at the client when he gets to the mysterious twist in his tale? (I am attempting to not spoil it because it is one of my favorites and everyone should read that one, for SO. MANY. REASONS.) And how John and Sherlock try very hard to not giggle at crime scenes? I want more of that. I want John and Sherlock just having a fucking fantastic time together while solving crimes and knowing something everyone else doesn't.

John and Sherlock are ridiculous semi-goofy BFFs at horribly inappropriate places. EXAMPLE: they go to a wake of some poor man who everyone thinks died tragically (and mysteriously, hence their presence) but really died of a heart attack while masturbating in his office, and they can't stop laughing.

Prompt: intersex Sherlock: Sherlock was born with ambiguous genitalia due to 5-alpha reductase deficiency syndrome, was raised female but now identifies as male. John studied sex and gender disorders at medical school. When they’re in bed together, he has so many questions he wants to ask.

Prompt: John Watson used to be a Watcher, but after his Slayer died he quit the Watchers’ Council and joined the army so he wouldn’t have to deal with her death. While he’s in Afghanistan, all the Slayers are activated (in re “Chosen”). Rupert Giles is alerted when he rejoins civilian life and he is assigned a new Slayer.

PROMPT: Large!Fem!Mycroft/Lestrade

Lestrade appreciates all sizes of women, and coolly enigmatic women with tremendous intelligence and dry wit make him weak in the knees. When Sherlock's zaftig sister shows up at a few crime scenes/bails out her brother on a few occasions, Lestrade is hopelessly smitten. However, M'lady Mycroft believes that Lestrade's advances and romantic gestures are some form of subtle mockery, because she's been the target of such things and much crueler abuses her entire life and now believes her size makes her unlovable. Lestrade's not going to let her keep believing that though, no matter what it takes.

PROMPT: Sherlock is certain he's a virgin before he has sex with John for the first time. John finds scarring that indicates not only is Sherlock not a virgin, from the evidence he's been violently penetrated many times within the last several years.

Sherlock genuinely doesn't remember anything about it. It's something he's deleted off his hard drive.

Wherever it goes from there is fine, but an eventual happy ending with non-judgmental comfort would be preferred.

PROMPT: Mycroft Holmes (happily married) and Greg Lestrade (currently single, with a very bad relationship in the past) are very good friends. The thought of being anything more than friends almost never crosses Greg's mind, and when it does, he laughs it off as ridiculous, since Mycroft seems to be as straight as a lodgepole pine.

Then Mycroft's marriage shockingly collapses and Greg, having been through something similar wants to be there for his friend to support him. The problem is since the word came that Mycroft's marriage is over, Greg's thoughts about Mycroft keep turning sexual. He finds himself thinking of Mycroft sexually all the time, even dreaming about doing things to him. He quashes these feelings ruthlessly, not acting on them, getting angry and upset at himself that his best friend is in such pain and yet he can't stop drooling over him like a horny teenager.

A happy ending would be nice.

Prompt: John goes for some annual medical tests. In a huge shock, the tests turn up something like an advanced inoperable cancer that requires immediate intense treatment and hospitalisation. This is confirmed through additional testing.

John can't believe there's anything wrong with him, but knows he wouldn't have felt any major symptoms until it was far too late and he was lucky the tests caught it when they did, so he at least still has a chance. He assumes he's in denial and puts on a brave face, determined to fight. Sherlock is distraught in a Sherlock-like way and becomes obsessed with curing John, ignoring crimes, criminals, Lestrade and everything except what might help John.

The thing is, there's nothing at all wrong with John. Moriarty is somehow having all the test results altered to show John requires this treatment, and the treatment is killing John, slowly and painfully.

This may be a cliché but I really don't care. The idea of Sherlock loosing himself in music or looking for anonymous sex and John perhaps following and watching from the shadows is just . . . unf.

Henry from Baskervilles is a werewolf (obviously). His black-outs and distorted memoirs are from his time as a wolf. Maybe his father was shot by superstitious hunters on the moor.

Maybe after Baskervilles he changes his name and moves in to a flat with a vampire and a ghost, I don't know.

AU where Irene (please change his name) is a male dominaxtrix (or whatever you call a man version) Reguardless of his gender Sherlock is facinated and smitten by male!Irene. everyone is kind of shocked how messed up Sherlock gets around the guy. John is bewildered and not a little bit jealous. Male!Irene is just as captivating as female!Irene, and the two have huge amounts of UST, and maybe even almost sleep together. Misfits crossover

Lestrade finally gets his ass down to the Wertham borough community center to investigate the growing number of missing probation workers. He's in over his head, of course, so Sherlock and John are called in to check out the center and question the suspects, a handful of young offenders with suspicious motives and terrible attitudes. It seems more and more likely that supernatural forces were involved in the disappearances, but Sherlock is far too sensible to believe in superpowers.

BONUS: Curtis Donovan is Sally's younger brother.
DOUBLE BONUS: John has a power that he's been keeping secret since the storm.

Sherlock is some sort of deity. Some people find out. Sherlock doesn't give a fuck and just wants things to go back to normal. His time in London is supposed to be a reprieve, and as much as he loves it when people show a tendency to worship him, he absolutely hates it when people get scared of him and become useless.

Lestrade, Sherlock, and Anderson are all shocked and suspicious when they see John and Sally hanging together a lot, acting friendly and even flirty to each other. Sherlock especially feels betrayed, not because he's in love with John (unless writer wants him to be), but because his best friend might date... and if it works well, marry... the woman who despises him and calls him a freak. There is no way that could work.

But are John and Sally really dating?

Mycroft didn't tell 'Moriarty' a thing about his brother; he told Richard Brook, his boyfriend.

Richard passed all the security checks with flying colours- he was a children's tv presenter, for God's sake- and what he told him about Sherlock was just what a boyfriend would tell about his annoying younger brother who he's begrudgingly fond of regardless.
