Filling Fest!

The Filling Fest Is Over. Thanks for everyone who participated!

Thanks to everyone who voted and shared their input. It really helped us figure out how things will go.

The fest will focus on prompts from Parts VI-VII (for those who want to fill prompts from the earlier days of the meme), and Parts XXIV-XXV (for those who want to revisit prompts from right after series two was aired. If you want to use the Filled Prompt Posts to browse through prompts, Part VI starts here, and Part XXIV starts here.

1. For the next three days, you can browse through those four parts and nominate prompts you’d like to see filled. Please include the full prompt and the link to the original prompt in your nomination. Those three days are for nominations only; don’t start posting your fills until this period is over.

2. After those three days, the nomination period will end and the filling period will begin. If you’re inspired by a nominated prompt, that’s great. If you prefer to look through those four parts and fill something that catches your eye, that’s great too. The filling period will last for two weeks.

3. All kinds of fills are welcome, as are multiple fills.

4. Anon posting is allowed, but not required.

5. Nominations without the link to the original prompt will be deleted. Same for nominations from parts other than VI, VII, XXIV and XXV.

6. Only post new fills that you haven’t posted anywhere before. If you have a WIP from one of those parts that’s gathering dust on your hard drive, it’s fine to post it, but only if you never started posting it.

7. Post your fill in this thread, but link to your fill in the original post (or in the Overflow post if the original post is full).

8. Please consider warning for triggery prompts (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful. Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

9. If you have questions, please ask in the appropriate thread in this post.

The expose. All of it.

Filled to the brim with clues that this "Richard" person is more than just a pawn and all the gory details about Sherlock's past. I'm imagining that Jim was honest with his descriptions of the crimes--he just attributed them to Sherlock. I want a brand-new headcanon by the end of this. You can do it, nons and non-nons, I know you can.

Sherlock Holmes out-thinks a typical fan fiction plotline.

Pick a well-worn fanfic setup and throw Sherlock into it: kidnapping/torture, fuck-or-die, sex pollen, arranged marriage, trapped in a freezer, whatever.

Now have Sherlock Holmes use THE SCIENCE OF DEDUCTION to trivially defuse the situation and defeat the entire point.

Sherlock finds who he thinks is the murderer, but when they're brought down to Scotland Yard they prove to have an airtight alibi, a lot of connections, and to be so good at smooth talking that even Sherlock starts to be convinced that they got the wrong person.

As they're letting the murderer go, of all the possible people, it's Anderson who shows up with a file, and very calmly (and somewhat smugly) deconstructs every defense the murderer had used, citing evidence and various facts of the murder's/victim's lives, and proves without a doubt that the person is the correct murderer.

Because Anderson may not be Sherlock Holmes, but he's not an idiot, and he didn't get his job because he made other people look good.

(Bonus if Sherlock compliments him, in his own way)

Lestrade is divorced and decides its time to get back in the game. Cue him trying some online daring sites.

Unbeknownst to him, Sherlock is on one of the same sites. Idk maybe John made him a profile as a joke, maybe he did it for a social experiment, maybe genuine...idk

Lestrade has a series of horrid first dates before seeing a match on his profile that looks promising. Him and this mystery person decide to meet up...surprise its Sherlock!

Lestrade believes its a huge hoax on Sherlock's part to further make his life hard, only since the reservations for the dinner were made they decide to continue the diner and end up finding out they actually have stuff in common and pursuing a relationship could work

(Lestrade has after all spent 5 years with Sherlock seen him at his highs and lows and is one of the only people who can stand him for extended periods)

Molly records her autopsy observations on a digital recorder. One day, Sherlock is there, so part of the recording is him giving his observations.

When Molly listens back to it, she gets really turned on - because science!deduction stuff plus that voice!

She makes a copy and in the privacy of her own bed she pleasures herself to it.

Alternatively: Sherlock for once leaves her a voicemail. Sexy times ensue!

After Reichenbach Sherlock visits Molly occasionally to check in on everyone, usually at her flat because he'd be too easily recognized at Bart's. One night when he arrives, he finds her in bed masturbating. Sherlock knows he shouldn't watch her but he's fascinated by how uninhibited shy little Molly is when she's alone. He only reveals himself after she's finished and doesn't let on that he saw...but he does make a habit of visiting when he thinks she's likely to be doing that again.

After a few occasions, Molly catches on.

In the months following Sherlock's "death", London is brought to its knees by a serial killer. Taking full opportunity of Sherlock's absence, the killer begins a campaign of bloodshed that sees the body count rise quickly. The Yarders now wish Sherlock was still around to help them. The media bemoans the lack of police competence and haste in finding the killer. After a particularly brutal double muder, Mycroft steps in to offer assistance.

There is one man who knows the identity of the killer. While serving in Afghanistan, John encountered a man in the midst of murdering one of John's comrades. John stopped the man, but ended up in a shootout that became an urban legend in Afghanistan. John ended up wounded and the man escaped. Neither forgot about the other.

John now debates whether to offer his aid or let the Yarders stew in their own incompetence. It isn't until he receives a package from the killer that John realizes he must finish what began in Afghanistan even if it kills him.

Molly is a somnophiliac and necrophiliac, with a special preference for the grey area in between. Sherlock lets her drug him.

Quantum Leap crossover: Dr Sam Beckett leaps into Sherlock. He is there to stop Moriarty from burning the heart out of Sherlock by killing John and keeping Sherlock from becoming Sally's worst nightmare in reaction to John's death. It's one of Sam's most challenging assignments because pretending to be Sherlock is not easy. Oh and if can squeeze in Sam playing matchmaker between John and Sherlock.

John thinks that it's safe to bring a date home for some reason (Sherlock out of the country or something?). They end up having sex, which Sherlock walks in on. John has a clear view and is trying to get Sherlock to leave and ends up saying his name....in bed...as or right before he's coming from sensory overload... Unfortunately for him, there's really no excuse for saying someone else's name in bed, particularly the name of your male flatmate. Would love this as a part of a larger story - gen or leading to s/j is fine (it's all fine ^^) but I'd love if it wasn't Sherlock deliberately sabotaging the date.

It's up to Mycroft and Lestrade to fill in the blanks. What happened at the swimming pool? Who is Moriarty? What has he done to John Watson?

So it's canon that Sherlock--in spite of being whip-thin and lying on the couch for long periods of time--is really stupidly strong (he picks up a bent poker and straightens it back out, which takes more effort than bending it in the first place).

I know I that I already posted a prompt today, but I was inspired by a fic that I'm reading right now - I just gotta!

To keep from being bored, one of Sherlock's hobbies is drawing crime scenes he's been at to test how much he remembers. He always draws himself in the scene too.

One day, feeling bored AND lonely, Sherlock draws draws a friend next to him. He likes the drawing and finds himself putting the friend in the scene again and again. After a while he names the partner 'John Watson'.

Like it's the magic word - John becomes real.

A very merry Memento!AU. It starts with everything being okay, John and Sherlock are a couple, it's just that John acts a bit strangely. And then the story is being told backwards, and at the end it turns out that before the beginning of the story, John did something horrible to Sherlock that he doesn't remember because he was high/was unconscious/repressed it later.

tl;dr - John feels bad for what he did, but you don't find out until the end what it was.
