Prompting Part XXXV

GUIDELINES

  • Anon posting is not required, but most definitely allowed. If you think you recognise an anon, keep it to yourself and don’t out them. IP tracking is off, and will remain that way.

  • Multiple fills are encouraged, and all kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance — whatever. Go wild! :D

  • Don’t reprompt until TWO parts after the last posting of the prompt.

  • RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.

  • Concrit is welcome, but kinkshaming, hijacking, and flaming are not tolerated.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
When you fill a prompt, please use the appropriate Filled Prompts Post to archive your fill (there are instructions on the actual post).

If the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort. If you want your fill to make it to the Delicious archive, that’s the way to do it.

Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mods will be happy to explain.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for prompts that may trigger people (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.

You are highly encouraged to scroll past any prompt that you dislike.

Remember: be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

THINGS THAT MAKE BROWSING THE MEME EASIER FOR EVERYONE
Please nest your fills. Doing so will make it easier for archivists to save your fills to the Delicious archive. Using subject lines will also help people reading the meme in flatview keep track of what’s happening. Finally, titling your fills (even if it’s something silly) will be helpful to those tracking a lot of prompts or scrolling through the meme.

PROMPT FREEZES
Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments. However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. After the 7000 comments freeze, a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.

revising

(Anonymous) 2014-04-18 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Young Sherlock revising for exams or a personal research project that is far above his age level and falling asleep at his desk. Someone in the Holmes family gently picking him up and tucking him into bed.

"I will bleed the heart out of you."

(Anonymous) 2014-04-18 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Remember that fake computer code Moriarty was going on about in TRF?

Turns out it was real, and it was the Heart Bleed bug.

Mary and Sherlock - John's Death

(Anonymous) 2014-04-18 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
John is killed on a case, but before he dies he makes Sherlock swear to him that he will take care of Mary and the baby.

Sherlock's never been very good at this kind of thing, but he has Mrs. Hudson and Molly and Mycroft to help him, and he's not going to let John down, or desert Mary.

Basically, Grieving!Mary and Sherlock trying to raise John's daughter together.

Lestrade is Sherlock's sugar daddy

No non-con or dub-con, but otherwise run with it. Can be anything from total AU to canon-compliant. I just desperately need this like crazy

Sherlock was adopted

(Anonymous) 2014-04-18 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock was adopted by the Holmes family when he was very young. His biological parents were teenagers who had gotten into drugs and couldn't take care of him.

Protective Mycroft

[identity profile] aldernavy.livejournal.com 2014-04-19 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Mycroft accompanies Sherlock to one of the crime scenes as John is busy.

Donovan calls Sherlock a freak.

Mycroft gets mad.

Donovan learns a lesson: don’t mess with the English Governments baby brother.

(I don’t care if Mycroft just makes her life difficult, or if he verbally tears her down on the spot, I just want Mycroft defending Sherlock)

Mycroft, Sherlock- Reflections of Life, brotherly fluff

(Anonymous) 2014-04-19 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
PLEASE NO INCEST.

Whenever Mycroft and Sherlock read or see a movie about siblings, they automatically relate it to their relationship. For instance, Thor: How can Loki do that to his big brother? I could never do that to Mycroft! Frozen: Don't tell Mycroft/Sherlock I said this but I'd do the same for him as Ana/Elsa does for Elsa/Ana. The Spook's Apprentice: Jack's such a jerk! How could he do that to his baby brother? I'd never be so cruel to Sherlock!

You get the drift. These examples don't need to be used, they're just here to help explain the prompt.

Sherlock/Mary

Sherlock getting Mary off while letting her hug one of John's jumpers to her face and cry, letting her pretend it's John instead of Sherlock that's touching her.

Not crocodile tears, and John can be in the jumper or not in the jumper.

Hi OP!
Would you be ok with an angsty 5+1? Angsty as in Johnlock without a real happy ending?
(Five times Sherlock cried into John's empty jumper + one time John was in the jumper)

I have some ideas, but I don't know if I'm actually going to write it...

Sherlock/Cabin Pressure crossover, Mycroft vs Douglas

[identity profile] lothiriel84.livejournal.com 2014-04-19 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
Epic battle of wits between Mycroft Holmes and Douglas Richardson. Mycroft may be the British Government, but Douglas has luck on his side.

(Bonus points if the reason why they're fighting has a lot to do with Mycroft's baby brother and Douglas' hapless captain.)

Sherlock and John undercover and have to have "sex" to lure in a suspect

(Anonymous) 2014-04-19 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock and John have to pretend to have live sex whilst they're undercover on a case. By "live" I mean they have to perform the sexual act either

- through the fact they know they're being watch on CCTV
- or they manage to get the suspect into their hotel room and therefore have to stall so they can wait for Lestrade to get here .

One thing leads to another and they end up having to have real sex.

If you'd prefer. You can have greg/sherlock as the pairing , either way would be great

John/Sherlock- Contacts, humor, fluff

(Anonymous) 2014-04-19 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherlock has people in his inner circle who he cares about (Molly, Mycroft, Lestrade, John, etc.). However, everyone else, he doesn't consider important, so, when putting their names in their cell phone, it's always "Not...". For instance, Donovan (and maybe Anderson) is "Not Lestrade". Stamford is "Not John". Etc.

John/Sherlock. Angst, Mental Health Problems, Hurt/Comfort

(Anonymous) 2014-04-20 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
When John leaves to create his own family, Sherlock keeps talking to him, even though he's not there any longer. Eventually, he only speaks to John, who's not there, and he speaks to nobody else at all.

On the way to mental hospital where he's being taken, he's talking to John. In his solitary, locked room, drugged to his eyeballs, Sherlock keeps talking to John.

Bad ending (Sherlock never gets better) or good ending (John comes back to him, to stay, and his very presence helps Sherlock to heal (eventual Johnlock would be great)), I don't really care.

I just want heavy angst with good or bad ending.

Like Mother, Like Daughter 1/2

(Anonymous) 2014-04-20 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Emma Watson curled her knees tight against her chest, breath hiccupping in her throat as she tried to choke back sobs.
She could hear the rumble of her father's voice from the other room, talking low with her mother.
They hated her, she was sure of it. No could ever love her after what she'd done.

Thinking about what had happened earlier that day was enough to bring on a new round of crying, and Emma rocked back into the pillows of her bed, knees still tucked up against her.
It was only another minute before the soft rap of knuckles sounded on her bedroom door.

"Emma dear?" her mother asked, opening the door a bit and leaning in, "Mind if I come in?"

Emma scrambled to a sitting position, scrubbing her hand across her cheeks as she nodded. Her tears refused to stop, however, and Emma buried her face in her palms.
Her mother stepped into the room, closing the door behind her, and Emma felt the mattress dip as she sat down at her side.
A strong, gentle arm wrapped around her shoulders and pulled her close, her mother whispering soothing words as she stroked her hair.

"I-it's all-all my f-fault..." Emma gasped out, clinging to her mother like a lifeline.

Her parents had gone out to a movie earlier, so Aunt Molly had picked her up and they had both walked over to visit Uncle Sherlock and Gran at 221B.
They had just finished learning Morse Code, and her mother and father had already taught her to shoot (a paintball gun was the most her father would allow), so Uncle Sherlock had decided to teach her sword fighting today.
She was good at it...really good. But she'd gotten a bit too enthusiastic.
And Uncle Sherlock hadn't blocked one of her swings.
And now Uncle Sherlock was hurt badly.
She'd overheard Uncle Lestrade say that they were taking him to the hospital as Aunt Molly helped Uncle Sherlock into the car, pressing an old, stained dishtowel to his side.
They'd told her it was fine, reassured her that he would be okay, and then the door had closed and she'd been left, hugging onto Gran as Uncle Lestrade drove Uncle Sherlock and Aunt Molly off.
Gran had dropped her off after that, and waited with her at home until her parents got back. Emma had run up to her room immediately, breaking down in tears and dreading how her parents would react when they found out what she'd done. They'd both gotten back from the clinic soon after, and Emma had managed to quiet her sobs enough to hear Gran tell her mom and dad that Emma was in her room before she went back to 221B.

Fisting, safe wording and panic and subdrop

(Anonymous) 2014-04-20 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Sherlock safewords while John is inside him up to his wrist. But it's sort of a situation where John can't immediately pull out because that would hurt Sherlock a lot. Unfortunately, Sherlock panics when john doesn't pull out instantly and panic becomes worse and worse and Sherlock is frantic and begging and crying please get it out.

John needs to calm Sherlock down and make him feel safe and relaxed enough for him to dislodge himself. Sherlock drops suddenly, all too fast and afterwards when John is out sherlock aometimes doesn't recognise john and other times he's calling for John. But in his mind he thinks john slide never hurt him but whenever john tries to get close to give aftercare, Sherlock goes hysterical thinking it's someone else who wants to hurt him and he cries for John to save him and forgive him.

Sherlock as a Saviour Sibling

(Anonymous) 2014-04-20 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
When Mycroft was a child he had a serious illness like leukemia. Sherlock was only born to provide a marrow transplant or other medical procedure. This is, at least partly, the reason that Mycroft is so protective of his younger brother, he wouldn't be alive without him and feels a sort of debt. Sherlock can resent it or not care at all but I'd especially like to see some situation based sniping between them, particularly arguing about who is alive because of whom. Ultimately I'd prefer begrudging brotherly love in some respect but wouldn't remotely object to them being their acerbic selves.
